Today I made an online order and thought I had ordered a drink as well, so when I got there I let her know I had a drink as well with my food. I looked at the receipt and saw no drink, so I must have accidentally taken it off of the order before placing, long story short the wonderful to-go woman gave me a free drink and told me not to worry about it. We have made two special trips Mr Blaney's and have not been disappointed. I have had the cheeseburger & fry and my spouse had the hot bar. Both were great; I almost ordered the double cheeseburger but the waitress talked me out of it. Not that was not good, but because of how large it was. Second trip, my spouse got the double cheeseburger and it was big. You need to be really hungry! I had the Blaney cheeseburger, very good Just an all around great place to go with great food and nice people. Highly recommend! read more

Somehow the food is magically ready when you call in an order and arrive but that that is not my complaint. My fries are soggy they're sticking together. I also paid an extra $1.50 to get my tender tossed in BBQ sauce this was a poor performance.The tenders were fresh though. read more

We went here for lunch Friday. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with raw fries. My wife ordered a Cheeseburger without a bun and a side Caeser Salad. The Philly was great, really packed with meat and we could've split it. The raw fries weren't real crispy the way I usually order them, but were sort of oily with some fairly crisp ones mixed in. They really did taste great. My wife enjoyed the salad and the cheeseburger, which she put on top of the salad. She had a bit of a problem after we left and said it was probably due to the amount of grease on the burger, the steak burger and the fries (She did take a bite my Philly and fries. Overall, very good food. Our waitress was very good and checked on us throughout the meal. Wasn't crowded at all, and when we walked in I had to walk around to the bar to see if they had a hostess, or waitress, as the sign said wait to be seated. read more

Removing 4 stars. We have loved going to Blaney's Grill since we moved here two years ago. We have been going here with a large group every Wednesday and on the weekends - but after tonight, we will be looking for another place to go. After finding a hair in the appetizer, we were already struggling through dinner. Then my husbands burger came out, and we found ANOTHER HAIR! We asked for another burger, and they wouldn't do it because a couple of the fries had been eaten. . . Told us the best they could do was take it off our check. . . We didn't want new fries - only a new burger minus the hair. So while the rest of our large group ate, my husband sat there with no food! The wait staff at Blaney's is great, and we always love to see Savannah and Heather - but we will not be back until we hear that they are under new management. read more

I pass this restaurant every day but haven't had an urge to go because I haven't heard much about them. Well we had a knack to go today and it was amazing, and thats still selling it short. Walking it it looked SUPER clean and it smelled super clean. And up to date! The booth was pretty comfortable also. I did read reviews and can see how people didn't like the wait time, but I can say the wait is 100% worth the food. We had shrimp n cheesy grits, Buffalo chicken tenders, and a chicken pimento cheese sandwich with raw fries! The chicken tenders were SO tender and honestly are the best I've had in a 50 mile radius. When I saw the consistency of the grits for the shrimp n grits I knew it was going to be amazing, and if you're a real consumer of shrimp n grits you'll know its rare to find some made to perfection. They were astounding. My gf loved her sandwich! She normally puts ketchup on EVERYTHING, but she ate the sandwich and raw fries without any. Now knowing how great this place is, will have me coming back probably on a weekly basis since I live not even 10 minutes from it! Great job! read more

Was there many Sundays ago as we were canvassing the Elgin area. Was getting hangry and there's not many places to have a sitdown meal in Elgin and even fewer on a Sunday late afternoon. Looks like a good local hangout and the bar area was much busier than the dining room. Decent menu but mostly sandwiches, wings, and pub foods. The draft Beer is not cold at all. the mugs are not frosty. San Jose in their backyard has the coldest of draft beer in Elgin SC. The Food is good and the staff is good. Me and the wife have done carry out twice and both times have been amazing. The patty melt is great and the boneless wings with hot lemon pepper I can't resist. Food was good and everything came out just as we ordered it. No complaints on the food at all. But right before we got our check a customer came in that was waiting on his to go the whole time we were eating. (which was about an hour) He brought his food back because he didn't receive some of his wings. The waitress was very understanding and was being professional about the situation and was doing as much as she could. However a taller blonde lady came out right after the waitress left and started raising her voice at the customer who just wanted what he paid for. She began to start arguing with him and he just asked to speak to a manager. She went to go get the manager and the manager wasn't even willing to talk to him. However she wasn't trying to make the situation any better. She kept coming back and trying to start something when the customer was just trying to wait on his wings. Very unprofessional approach to the situation. I have been in the restaurant business and doing what she did ruined the experience the customers were having and ruined the restaurants name in my opinion. Very sad because the food was good. I will start off by saying the food here is always great. The kitchen does an awesome job preparing the wings, the burgers and appetizers. The service on the other hand is never good. I have eaten in this restaurant twice and both times the service was slow and borderline rude. This past time the waitress came up to our table and didn't even greet us. She walked up and said "what do yall want to drink" in a rude tone. We had to flag her down every time we wanted to ask for something or to get refills. She didn't check on us at all unless we flagged her down for something. At the end she literally threw the bill on the table and walked away and yet again we had to flag her down to pay. When we gave her a cash tip of 20% then she all of a sudden became attentive asking if we needed togo cups or boxes. Perhaps she judged us thinking we wouldn't tip well at first but seeing as we are also service industry we always leave 20% even if it isn't deserved. Weren't very busy on a Saturday night and service was fast and efficient. I ordered the wings and tenders entree - asked for honey BBQ and sweet potato fries. Food was brought out in a timely manner and not too expensive. Downsides- the tenders were battered in TONS of pepper - too much pepper for my taste, my sister and our friend. They brought out "golden wings" and I told them I asked for honey BBQ and he replied "it's kind of like the same thing". My plate had regular fries when I ordered sweet potato and he said "we ran out so I hope regular are ok" The wings were chewy? the sauce had an "ok" flavor but the texture was awful. Blaney's Backyard Grille was born from the ashes of Blaney Wings; a place that in my opinion was the gold standard for chicken wings in the northeast Columbia area. They recently moved to the old "Old South Buffet" building and it's great to see that the wings and fries are still just as good as they ever were. The fiancee had the Cowboy Burger, which I sampled heavily, and it also exceeded expectations, was cooked well and an excellent portion size considering the price at 9.69 was a bit more than I usually expect to pay for a hamburger(I believe a side item was included). The one complaint is with the obviously pre-fab onion rings - Their raw and regular french fries are out of this world, and I didn't think it was wrong to expect the onion rings to be of the same caliber. Not even worth removing a star, though, as the service was fantastic. My mother wished to sample their pimento cheese before ordering the pimento cheese burger, and one of the cooks brought out a sample and told her about the specific brand they used. This is a place that serves quality food with a great family atmosphere, and cares about their customer experience. I'm not sure it would be fair to ask for anything more. read more

What can I say, other than these are the BEST wings (so far) I've had in the entire Midlands area. I like my wings super spicy, but also cooked. I've ordered wings well over 100 times (total) from different restaurants in the Midlands. Not once has a batch of wings been over or under cooked from Blaney's. The Nick's Napalm flavor is out of this world (for those who like their wings hot)! I can't think of enough adjectives for the quality of wings at this establishment. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly, and if you have a military ID be sure to let them know so that you can get your 10% military discount. DISCLAIMER: My wife and sons have ordered hamburgers from here, and so far I haven't heard any complaints; however, I have only ordered wings from here, so I can't honestly say I know the quality of their other foods. read more

This was great!!! So surprised..... My husband had a jalapeño burger and fries. I had a pimento burger and fries. Burger was cooked perfect. Not dry not greasy. I only allow myself a burger every few months so I get mad when it's messed up :) Wings got the Cajun parm they looked weird (white) when they came out but they were great. Been going to and recommending Blaney since they were across highway one in a tiny place. It was great!! Slowly going down since they moved. Gradual for a year or so but must have been sold recently. My family and I walked out tonight after waiting an hour after we ordered and no sign of food. Asked to speak to manager on the way out and she never showed either. We are done.
