One of the best burger spots in the Columbia area is located in Cayce, SC! The Kingsman will treat you like royalty with the size and taste of their burgers. We wound up settling for this restaurant today but were not totally disappointed to say the least. The place was packed at lunchtime and we received awesome and prompt service. Food quality was very good and we both agree that we would try this restaurant again another time.. My wife had chicken wings and fried mushrooms and I enjoyed a chili cheeseburger. Wasn't sure what to expect from the outside. It's in a strip mall and the outside is very unassuming. But boy do they bring the flavor!! We started with the pretzels and beer cheese. The pretzels were salty and buttery. The beer cheese was delicious. I had the rib-eye pimento cheese burger. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had! It was juicy and the homemade pimento cheese was spicy cheesy goodness! My son had the Salisbury steak special with collards and Mac and cheese. I called in to place a pick-up order for lunch. That process wasn't bad at all. Their customer service was decent. I heard great things about The Kingsman, so I was excited to finally have a chance to try it out. The taste and quality of the food were substandard. I was disappointed given the money I spent and the mediocre food I received. The mozzarella sticks were cold and lacked cheese pull. The philly cheese steak was okay. It was a good size. The fries were cold and old. They tasted terrible. It's kind of sad that I didn't have the best experience. We have been eating here for the last 5 decades. My dad ran the theater next door, so mom and I visited a lot just so we could go to the Kingsman for a beautifully cooked Ribeye steaks. So I lived in Columbia for 18 years and none of my so-called friends ever told me about this place. I'm not sure if I can forgive them. The fried mushrooms were an absolute delight, but that ribeye burger? That's one of the most delicious things I've ever put in my mouth. Not the best customer service presented. Came in there this past Saturday @ 8:54 p.m. Employees on the Grille said the store was closed. However, me and family entered with no closed signs on the door. I even grabbed a menu looking to see what I want to order. Cops were also in there with placed orders before us. All the food here is excellent. It's so popular you can barely get in there on the weekend.

Me and my husband went out for our Anniversary dinner, unfortunately had a terrible experience. Our server, Kayla, seemed to not be aware she had a table through our whole service. We waited long times in between drinks and ordering, as well as on appetizers. When asking for refills, we were met with a hand wave and nod but nothing was brought. I ended up packing my salmon up to go. And was met at home with a hot outside, but undercooked and cold salmon. Serviced combined with undercooked salmon, we will not be making this our next date night, hopefully others receive a better experience than we did. read more

Six of us went here for lunch today. We were able to find a table for six in the back room at 11:30, so it was good timing. The waitress took our orders fairly promptly and brought back all of our drinks, balancing all six glasses of tea and soda with her arms. Great job! We ordered two Kingsman Throne burgers, three Patty Melt Specials $9.99, and a sirloin sandwich. Sides were onion rings and one green bean. The Patty Melts were "Double Patty Melt (Special on Tuesday)" and were excellent. I didn't use the thousand Island dressing that came with them, but really enjoyed the Patty Melt and the onion rings. Every single one of us thought the food was excellent. Service was great. This was the first time there for everyone but me, but we all enjoyed it greatly. I know that first time I stopped in here was on a Friday night and the "Seat yourself" sign at the front sort of surprised me. I doubt if I'd try to get in on a Friday night, but lunch seemed to be fine - at least for today. read more

Anyone from not around here will snub their nose and drive right on by and I'm grateful for them. It makes it easier to get a table in the modest, cozy dining area or front bar. The service is always friendly and food always served hot. I can honestly say there isn't a single thing I could not recommend but if I had to tell you one entree, it's the sirloin tips hands down. Then the ribeye steak, the Kings ribeye steak hamburger. If you walk out upset or unsatisfied for some reason, there has to be something by wrong with you! A fantastic great ribeye steak sandwich. It was cooked to my perfection with a really good flavor. They put mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on it but I'm sure they can modify it to your likings. Even the baked potato was great. You definitely can't go wrong here!!! read more

So ... I am still learning the local non-chain places to go and was turned on to Kingsman. Looked at the menu on their website (not a third party menu app), called and placed my order and was given 30 minutes (more than fair). I arrive and the place has that nice little mom & pop feel so I go in and get my food and pay at the counter. Immediate I notice that the prices on the receipt are all more than their website. The Pretzel appetizer was a few dollars more, the corn nuggets a dollar or so plus the burger I got was a dollar more. This right here is moronic as they should reflect what they have to offer. The prices were not bad still but, when you advertise one thing and offer another it is a big disappointment. Regardless I said nothing, paid and left. I got home and bug into the food. The Pretzel was stellar and well prepared with a warm/soft interior. But the beer cheese sauce was mealy/grainy and really lacking flavor (like something out of a can). The Corn nuggets were good overall but you could tell were something basic from Sysco or The Chef store plus, the sauce that came with it was overly sweet. Lastly, the King Cheese burger was well done, prepped how I asked and good flavor and the onion rings were awesome. Normally, I'd leave a 3.5 Star Review but, the lack of integrity for their own personal website has me giving the level I am. I would order again but, making sure to verify the price next time before I make a decision. read more

I was skeptical about this restaurant going in, but I ended up having a great experience. We ate here on a pretty strict schedule, giving us about an hour to get in, order, get food, eat, pay and leave. We did it all in about 45 minutes (great service)! I had the sirloin tips with French fries and gravy for dipping. My son had the kids tenders and fries. Both were good, cooked quickly, and hot when we got them. The chicken was breaded nicely and was quality chicken. Steak was cooked properly. The seating area in the room past the entrance was really homey feeling (though the entrance with the grill feels more like a diner), and the food was good. It reminded me of eating at the Moose/ Elk clubs with family as a kid. I would recommend this as a casual family outing or if you're going with friends for a bite and a drink (as there seems to be a full bar). The only discomfort comes when paying the bill. There is a walkway from the entrance to the main dining areas, and that is also where the cash register is for paying. As our group of four was leaving (and paying two separate checks), we were very in the way of people entering and exiting (one man who made a point to bump in to a friend of mine), but had no choice but to just be awkward while we waited for the to-go order to finish wrapping up. I would like to see this worked out in the future, but ultimately, not a big deal. read more

I was a bit disappointed in the restaurant because I had several people tell me how good it is--especially the steaks. The steaks were average, I'd say. My husband and I had 2 different cuts with the same opinion. His onion rings were pretty good while my baked potato was served barely warm-it didn't even melt the butter. I asked for a heat-up and was served a new potato which was warm--I'd say, not hot. Our server was friendly but the chick who brought out our food was rude and almost nasty. She was gone too fast for me to challenge her personally, but I complained to our server who apologized for her and said that's pretty normal for that person.
