Scallops

The restaurant set up is super unique, it feels like a cute coffee shop in the front and then as you go in it feels like a trendy restaurant. Service was great and all tips are included in the prices. The patatas bravas and scallops were incredible! The sunflower cavatelli was a bit too salty imo but my fiancée loved it. The ceviche was not traditional ceviche, the shrimp was cooked and it was a little disappointing. Overall definitely recommend giving it a try and I will definitely come back!

This quaint spot in the Vista offers a variety of tapas along w a great wine selection. Our server, Daulton, offered to surprise us with a selection of tapas along with paired wine, which we took him up on. We started with some bubbly which was paired with Shrimp Ceviche, crudo, boquerones (anchovies), steak tartare, and pan contomate. My favorites were the crudo and tartare. The boquerones were not my favorite, but I think I may just not like anchovies. While we finished up the first course, we had a light white wine which I enjoyed. For the second course, we had a chilled red wine which was paired with the lobster raditori, smoked half chicken and patatas bravas. Of the second course, the lobster raditori was my favorite. We then asked for pepinos aplastados (cucumbers) to finish out the main food. For dessert, we had a moscato, which wasn't too sweet, along with bombas and mousse. Everything was delicious and the wine was well paired with the food. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for an elevated dinner in Columbia for great food and service

Food and service were both AMAZING. We were treated with amazing service by everyone we came across. Special shoutout to our server - Alisa! The patatas bravas is my absolute favorite. Will be back. Love the vibes of the restaurant as well! Video of restaurant on @lexgeteating

Upscale dining you will want a reservation for dinner. But they do take walk ins and if you just want drinks and oysters they have comfy chairs in the middle of restaurant here. Check out my pictures we tried almost everything they had to offer on several occasions this year.

Literally can't go wrong at this place. It's a great spot to share a bunch of different plates. The menu changes occasionally which I enjoy. Staff is so helpful and provide great service. The food isn't like anything else you can get in Columbia. It's unique and very well done.

My new favorite restaurant in Columbia! This quaint bistro is EXCEPTIONAL. I'm from Boston, and it feels like something straight from the south end. 10/10! The food is freshly made and delicious. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The service is top notch (Dalton is the sweetest!) and don't even get me started on their wine selection! Absolutely amazing. They also have a fabulous retail section with high end candles, spices from around the world, and unique gift ideas. I would highly recommend checking out City Grit!!

By far my favorite place in Columbia! I highly recommend going here and bringing all your friends and fam. Have a wine night with some amazing tapas and dessert. The food quality and flavors were beyond amazing and fresh. The service (aka Randy) is the BEST. Randy knows the menu and what wines would taste good with the meals very great at pairing and gauging what the customers would like. Randy helped choose our sides and entree I'd give them all a 10/10! Nothing disappointed me at all. I want to come here and bring everyone I know every week. The interior has such a cool vibe/concept. Pretty nice space to bring friends or a date. There is parking up front street parking and parking towards the side and back of here. We ordered the chorizo, tuna on an amazing baguette, the mushroom carbonara which was to die for and the cucumber salad with this Chile vinaigrette & can't forget the basque cheesecake with a berry compote. The best cheesecake I've had. Highly recommend making a resy I heard they get busy for dinner!

Went here for dinner with a friend and our overall experience was good! The inside had a nice intimate feel to it. It does share its space with a store/ retail portion up front for food and pre made meal purchases; which I always love in these market restaurants. Our waiter was kind and gave us great recommendations from the menu and for the wine. The menu is small but the servings for the entree dishes were a great size. I ordered the stuffed ricotta dumplings and a dessert wine. Both were excellent. My friend had the same and we also shared the goat cheese spread with grilled sourdough as an appetizer. It was all delicious. I do feel our waiter could have been more attentive and he made the mistake of charging my card for another table but he fixed it immediately. Which could have been avoided since it wasn't so busy to make such a mistake. Also the prices are on the expensive side. My 1/3 glass of dessert wine was $16 and our ricotta dumpling dishes were $36. The prices are explained on their website and on the menu but it's still expensive in my opinion. In order to pay their wait staff a decent wage instead of working for tips. I do understand and support the concept. I will definitely come back to try other menu items and browse their market items.

Food and service is awesome! I'm always getting the lunch counter. Food is well worth the price.

Nice atmosphere, helpful waiters, tiny portions, not the best in taste, very high price. I do not recommend this restaurant.

I arrived at 750. I was told that tables were sitting a little late so it would be a wait of 20-30 minutes. Well that wouldn't be a problem if there was somewhere to wait. I was told I could go to the rooftop (40 degrees) or wait under the stairs (no room and a fall hazard). I asked if we could wait by the bar but was told there was a private party and we couldn't. My husband and I went to a neighboring bar and returned 15 minutes later where we then waited by bar, eventually being seated at 825. Ambiance is nice. It's cozy, good for date night. Server was amazing. She was a natural. Top tier, like she studied to be a server lol. I hate I can't remember her name. Five stars for her. Food. It was a 3/5. Go for the mussels! They are delicious. Hush puppies are pretty tasty. Main options we got were the ribeye and the quail. They both left something to be desired. It was good but it wasn't great. I didn't want to lick my plate. Something was needed and missing in both dishes. The portions are fine. I won't return to give them another chance. My advice to anyone coming for a nice date night, don't. I would stop by here, hit the bar, grab some mussels and go elsewhere for dinner. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this place. I would have given them 3 stars but the seating situation was not acceptable. Oh and don't get dessert here. They threw something together and called it an apple parfait. It tasted like air.

Never disappoints - our go-to spot in downtown Columbia!…read more Christal and I have been coming to Hampton Street Vineyard for several visits now, and it truly never disappoints. Every time we walk in, we're greeted with that warm, welcoming vibe in the historic Sylvan Building - it's cozy yet elegant, perfect for a special night out or just a really great meal. The food is outstanding: seasonal, fresh ingredients shine through in every dish, and the wine list is impressive (no surprise with their Wine Spectator award). We've tried a variety of plates over our visits, and nothing has missed the mark - always flavorful, beautifully presented, and satisfying. What keeps us coming back (and recommending it nonstop) is how consistently excellent it is. We run Chestnut Cottage Inn just 4 blocks away, so we send our guests here all the time. Without fail, they come back raving about their meal and the great time they had. It's the perfect spot for visitors to Columbia - close by, reliable, and memorable. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and book a table. You won't regret it! Highly recommend for dinner or their weekend brunch.

To begin I had requested a window seat @6:00 for 2 which was not available. We arrived 15 minutes early , so I would have expected to be given the choice to wait for a window table or be sat , no offer made. And speaking of tables , the chairs are super uncomfortable and you notice that as soon as you sit, hard and straight . We ordered from the special menu , but it was offerings from the regular standard menu . My husband had the flat iron steak w broccolini for extra $10.00 up charge . Steak was seasoned well but very small 6 oz portion . Broccolini was a mystery , served almost raw with charred ends. Was too tough to eat or cut with knife. I ordered the Beef short rib w Brussels sprouts and parsnips. The beef was flavorful, tasted exactly like crock pot roast . Agin , the Brussel sprouts were hard as a rock, literally! When trying to stick the fork into it , it flew off the plate ! I love al dente vegetables but last nights were extremely undercooked with NO flavor at all.Without seasonings Brussel sprouts can taste like dirt , and these did . Desert was date sticky pudding which was excellent . Summary is for $165.00 dinner we left underwhelmed , hungry and looking for the nearest Taco Bell. I would like to note our server was great .

The cocktails were the star of the night - ranging from $11 to $13 - both their classics and house creations were well balanced and worth trying. While certain items like the fries and the Brussels sprouts were great, other items like the burger and duck tacos didn't hit the mark with a burger that was too dry and overly charred and the tacos which were too gamey and could have used a some more acid. My experience with this venue was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. I booked the M Space…read morefor a semi-formal dance, we've used it before, and I assumed it would be a good choice. I was wrong. At first, Michelle communicated well. She explained that a woman living above the venue is very sensitive to noise and that music could not exceed 80 decibels. I told her we would have a DJ with his own speakers and sound system, and we discussed this multiple times both in text and in person. His contact information was included in the contract, and I sent it to her directly so she could explain the noise policy to him. Everything seemed fine until the event. Within the first 15 minutes, a random woman walked in asking for the venue keys. She was decorating for an event the next day, and Michelle had told her she could come by, yet she never informed me of this. About 30 minutes into the event, Michelle texted saying the upstairs neighbor was complaining about the music and that someone from the HOA was outside taking pictures of us. She then tried to claim I never told her about the DJ or his equipment even though I had proof we had discussed it and she had already been communicating with him. After I showed her the messages, she stopped responding. We had to turn the music down so low it was barely audible over guests talking. On top of that, what I thought was a homeless man kept walking around outside and looking through the windows, making everyone uncomfortable. Around 9:30 PM, this man entered the venue through the back door. My boyfriend and I told him to leave because it was a private event. He insisted he was "supposed to be there," and only after I threatened to call the police did he explain that he worked for the venue and wanted to begin setting up for the next day's wedding reception. Even though my event wasn't scheduled to end until 10 PM, he continued insisting he needed to be there. I was never told that this man would be at the venue, let alone walking into my event in the middle of it. Everyone was so freaked out and guests began leaving because they were so unsettled. By the end, I was overwhelmed, scared, and in tears trying to clean up. Michelle and her staff were completely unprofessional from start to finish. I strongly recommend not booking this venue if you want your event to be enjoyable and stress-free.
