Four Roses and Woodford barrel picks!
    Jeff C.

Beautiful place near downtown Columbia! Such cool decor and very comfortable. The stuffed artichokes were excellent, although it's a lot of food. I had the wild boar & Italian sausage pappardelle for my main course with a glass of Harvey & Harriet red. You taste the love in every bite! Excellent service, especially at the bar, where they have several bourbon barrel picks available. Five stars, hands down!

    Amazing food!

This was my first time here, and it was with friends too celebrate my birthday. The experience COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER. We had reservations for five, but my friends adult daughter was in town & wanted to come- and they accommodated her with ease. Michelle, our server took GREAT care of us, recommending dishes and wine. The piano player asked if we had any requests and she tried to accommodate, but she played wonderfully. We brought in a birthday cake, and they placed it in the fridge while we ate dinner. My friend who recommended this place was over near the bar, playing around with staff, and the next thing we know- we had a round of Limincello shots on the house! My husband and I are foodies, and unfortunately in the 2 years we've been living in Columbia we've struggled to find really good, fresh, authentic food. I'm also not a big fan of Italian because it can be very heavy, but Cioppino dish that I had was EXCELLENT. We all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere. Thanks Di Vino Rosso for making my birthday dinner one of THE BEST. (NOTE: The ONLY reason I didn't give it five stars is because it was my first time, so I'm unsure of the consistency, but I must say that it was a 5 star night.)

Carribean Fish Special with Honey Bee cocktail

It was our second time dining at Di Vino Rosso. I ordered the Carribean fish special and the Honey Bee cocktail. My daughter ordered the Bolognese Pasta. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was lively and happy. Will definitely visit again when go back yo Cayce.

My love made reservations here for our 4 year anniversary and I have been wanting to come here for awhile so I can check it off my list. It is very cute inside and I loved the way our table was set up with a little card for us. We ordered the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly at medium temp, and the flavor with the jus was so good. The jus had a bit of soy flavor which gave it some tanginess. I wasn't crazy about the carrots but they were cooked well, soft but not soggy and it did pair well with the lamb and potatoes. My favorite was the ciopinno spaghetti. All the seafood was cooked perfectly, soaked up a lot of the flavor from the brodo and you can smell the earthiness of the saffron and tomato. I was sad they only had one scallop so I let my love have it. The seasonal fish they had in it was salmon and it melted in your mouth. For dessert, we got the cheesecake and crème brûlée. The cheesecake was good, creamy, and well balanced. Now crème brûlée is my favorite dessert so it was def a treat. I could taste the orange notes from the Grand Marnier. It was creamy and the burnt sugar gave a little sweet and bitterness that paired well with the custard and berries. Overall I would give this an 8/10 experience. It was really good but didn't quite give me the "wow" factor I was expecting. Maybe the pasta dishes are better so I def want to come check those out next time.

Soup of the day - tomato and crab bisque with mini crab cake

Everything was delicious! I could have just had the soup of the day and been satisfied (tomato and crab bisque) but the entrees were fabulous as well.

Been here maybe 15 times now - usually pretty amazing! Only had a couple experiences where I was less impressed, which is bound to happen. Atmosphere is great, bar is great, service is great! Most everything I've had has been delicious - I love trying their specials as they are always amazing!

For a higher end Italian restaurant in Columbia SC, this one is the best one you can get. The environment was classy, got nice lighting and intimate. Service was friendly and nice. Food and drink was cooked well but doesn't have a good memory point for me to want to come back again if that make sense. The taste of the food is rather milder than other Italian restaurant.

The food, drinks, and ambiance were excellent. I visited Di Vino Rosso for my friend's birthday and was truly impressed with every aspect of the experience. It was my first time dining there, and it definitely won't be my last.

    New York cheesecake

The food was absolutely delicious and amazing from the appetizer to the delicious desserts. The drinks were fresh / strong / and delicious. The reasoning behind the 3 starts was due to the service. I believe he may have been the manager on site ( wearing a blue suite ) was rude never introduced himself when he came to my table to fill the glasses of water. He also kept looking over at my table and making wired expectations. He also walked around the whole restaurant offering complementary "lemon cello" a tray full, and never once approached our table or acknowledged us. My girlfriend had to ask the server what they were passing around. It was just a weird experience with him. Our server was great, he was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Our food did take over 50min to get, but it was worth the wait. I hate that our experience could have been different if the manager was pleasant. I hate to even think this, but one of my girlfriends said " feel like it's because we are Hispanic ". Our bill was over $400.00 we left 30% tip on top of that. Hopefully next time our expenses will be different.

    Heritage Farms Pork

A perfect experience, perfect food. The Heritage Farm pork was delicious, the staff expertly accommodated gluten free dietary restrictions, and the cocktails were superb. The live piano music made the atmosphere romantic and elegant. Absolutely worth the $$$

    Salumi platter

salumi plate: from left to right in the picture: Juniper and orange peel salami, (made me want a martini! Housemade, I believe- amazing!) prosciutto, (good) but I can get this at publix. Not sure if it was house made. sopressato. (Good but I can buy it in a store) Sweet Pickles, (too sweet for me) olives, (they are olives, nothing special ) tart-sweet pickled red cabbage (not as sweet as the pickles so I could eat them, but still quite sweet). pickled mushrooms, (savory but a little vinegary) almonds, (bland blanched almonds) stone ground mustard, tomato bacon jam, (amazing! Large pieces of smoky bacon) strawberry jam. (Very good and obviously fresh made) My over feeling is that there too many sweet sides to the fatty meats. Good, but I'll probably go for the cheese plate next time. CIOPPINO Slightly sweet, perhaps from the fennel . I won't order it again. The seafood was perfectly cooked and I didn't get a single bit of grit from the mussels. Nice big, perfectly seared scallops. But for my palate, far too sweet even with added fresh ground black pepper. I'll definitely be back, but I'll try something else. I gotta save up because I want to try the Bone-In pork saltambucco. But it's $44! Next timeMy boss let me try the bruschetta. For me it had the perfect amount of lightly drizzled balsamic vinegar on it. I'm not a real fan of balsamic because it tends to be sweet (see a trend? ) I'm having a Hendrick's Cucumber Martini for desert LOL!

Made a reservation early in the week for 8pm. I arrived at 750. I was told that tables were sitting a little late so it would be a wait of 20-30 minutes. Well that wouldn't be a problem if there was somewhere to wait. I was told I could go to the rooftop (40 degrees) or wait under the stairs (no room and a fall hazard). I asked if we could wait by the bar but was told there was a private party and we couldn't. My husband and I went to a neighboring bar and returned 15 minutes later where we then waited by bar, eventually being seated at 825. Ambiance is nice. It's cozy, good for date night. Server was amazing. She was a natural. Top tier, like she studied to be a server lol. I hate I can't remember her name. Five stars for her. Food. It was a 3/5. Go for the mussels! They are delicious. Hush puppies are pretty tasty. Main options we got were the ribeye and the quail. They both left something to be desired. It was good but it wasn't great. I didn't want to lick my plate. Something was needed and missing in both dishes. The portions are fine. I won't return to give them another chance. My advice to anyone coming for a nice date night, don't. I would stop by here, hit the bar, grab some mussels and go elsewhere for dinner. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this place. I would have given them 3 stars but the seating situation was not acceptable. Oh and don't get dessert here. They threw something together and called it an apple parfait. It tasted like air.

Never disappoints - our go-to spot in downtown Columbia!…read more Christal and I have been coming to Hampton Street Vineyard for several visits now, and it truly never disappoints. Every time we walk in, we're greeted with that warm, welcoming vibe in the historic Sylvan Building - it's cozy yet elegant, perfect for a special night out or just a really great meal. The food is outstanding: seasonal, fresh ingredients shine through in every dish, and the wine list is impressive (no surprise with their Wine Spectator award). We've tried a variety of plates over our visits, and nothing has missed the mark - always flavorful, beautifully presented, and satisfying. What keeps us coming back (and recommending it nonstop) is how consistently excellent it is. We run Chestnut Cottage Inn just 4 blocks away, so we send our guests here all the time. Without fail, they come back raving about their meal and the great time they had. It's the perfect spot for visitors to Columbia - close by, reliable, and memorable. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and book a table. You won't regret it! Highly recommend for dinner or their weekend brunch.

To begin I had requested a window seat @6:00 for 2 which was not available. We arrived 15 minutes early , so I would have expected to be given the choice to wait for a window table or be sat , no offer made. And speaking of tables , the chairs are super uncomfortable and you notice that as soon as you sit, hard and straight . We ordered from the special menu , but it was offerings from the regular standard menu . My husband had the flat iron steak w broccolini for extra $10.00 up charge . Steak was seasoned well but very small 6 oz portion . Broccolini was a mystery , served almost raw with charred ends. Was too tough to eat or cut with knife. I ordered the Beef short rib w Brussels sprouts and parsnips. The beef was flavorful, tasted exactly like crock pot roast . Agin , the Brussel sprouts were hard as a rock, literally! When trying to stick the fork into it , it flew off the plate ! I love al dente vegetables but last nights were extremely undercooked with NO flavor at all.Without seasonings Brussel sprouts can taste like dirt , and these did . Desert was date sticky pudding which was excellent . Summary is for $165.00 dinner we left underwhelmed , hungry and looking for the nearest Taco Bell. I would like to note our server was great .
