Can't go wrong here! Generous portions with well balanced flavors. Our party had multiple types of dishes, including jalapeno popper appetizers, chicken quesadilla, cheesecake burrito, chimichangas, taco, beef enchiladas and the carnitas enchiladas, which was by far my favorite. To be fair this is probably a 3.5 by Columbia standards but it's one of the better Mexican joints in the Columbia area. That's definitely not saying much! I certainly wouldn't say the flavors were robust, but the food (aside from the rice which is terrible) was actually good. I had the Enchiladas Supreme which had one cheese enchilada (which was excellent,) one chicken and one ground beef. They were good albeit a bit bland. The pomegranate margarita was fantastic and the flan is absolutely the right choice for dessert. I ordered the arroz con pollo and the cheese dip. All of the food was ok. The chicken was tender. The rice was good but not fresh and my tortilla chips tasted old and cold. We just ate here for lunch and it is a cute spot. We liked the food, but there was some miscommunication with the Bill. Long story short there was an apology, but the bill was never corrected. The manager came by and asked how things were, we appreciated that. I would have to say that our server was a little bit too relaxed or borderline lazy in our service. We have quite a few Mexican restaurants in our area, but we decided to give them a try. Limited parking spots in the front, drive around to the back for more parking and easy entry. Very nice décor and attention to detail inside. I love the flowers on the ceiling, the bar area is nicely decorated as well. The vibe is very welcoming! We visited on a Tuesday afternoon at approx 5pm, that allowed for fast seating. The menu has alot to choose from. Warm chips and salsa where brought to the table. We ordered drinks and cheese sauce for starters. Our food came out in a descent amt of time. We ordered a pork chimichanga and a chicken meal with salad and all the toppings. All the food had alot of flavor and was plentiful. The only issue I had was my drink was full of ice, next time I will order a different one. Other than that we will return soon oneday. Stopped in today while running a few errands at lunch time. The restaurant was not very busy . Service was provided by Moses and he did a nice job of taking care of us. The food was amazing! The experience could have been better. We sat at the bar and no one came to us. We moved closer to the bartenders and someone came to us. There was a great abundance of flies but to be fair it is Summer so flies in SC is expected. However I was fighting the flies to eat my food so I took it to go. They could invest in a fan at the entrance to try and prevent some of the flies for a future time. I will definitely be back in the Fall when the temperature is cooler. Finally found time to go to Que Bueno in Lexington for a late lunch and really impressed with the quality and attention to detail with the food and team. Homemade guacamole, table-side, is well worth the investment and we split another entrée, as the guacamole is a healthy "meal" itself. Everything was so fresh! Many trips to QueBueno Lexington SC, as a couple and family for birthdays, etc. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant and choice of everyone. Eating inside, outside and take out. The parking can be a challenge, even with overflow lot in back. Gabby (a manager) took my take out order today, everything was right on, ready in 15 minutes as she indicated. She said they open at 10 am now, I suppose for thise wanting an early lunch. And ask for paper menu handout to help with take out orders, prices have gone up some. Wow! The service, the atmosphere, and the food were all great. We were a party of six adults and four children. It was about 6:00 pm on a Monday and we were seated immediately. They really hit it out of the park with their service. Sometimes large numbers can cause problems, but they were great. My only issue is the volume of the music. We arrived on a Friday evening around 6 PM. The restaurant was about half full with many dirty tables. A server cleaned a table and placed us at it. After about 10 minutes, we were brought salsa and chips that were just OK in flavor. Another 10 minutes and we got our drinks and then another 10 minutes and someone came to take our order. I ordered the wrangler chimichanga, which you see in the photo. It had a pretty presentation, but the chicken was flavorless and the beans tasted like they had burned on the bottom of the pot. No-one ever checked in with us or refilled our drinks. The restaurant is one large room, so it was very loud, and I could barely hear the person I was eating with. There was also numerous flies... So many in the window by the booth we were in that they were swarming our food. The front parking lot is terrible , we were in a small civic and were worried if we could fit through the other cars parked. It cost us $42 for two people. We had no alcohol and no appetizer, and only one of us ordered a soft drink. It was unimpressive... lots of Mexican restaurants in the area that are better. read more

Saturday ws my third time eating here. I took my friend as he was tired of Antai for now we decided on this place. The first two times we okay, but nothing to brag about. Since it is a local business I decided to keep trying them. This visit reminded me that the food is the blandest Mexican food I have ever had. The carnitas Sopes tasted like nothing. The prices are rediculous. I will never go back. They love to crank the music to a point where it interfers with casual dining conversation. Got the carnitas burrito and it just hit the spot after a long flight from Southern Cali. They start you off with some chips and salsa. Salsa was on point. If they can make a good salsa where alot of restaurants fail,you know they have someone in the kitchen that knows how to cook. The waiter was cool and polite and he gave me the scoop on the owners who are supposed to be from Jalisco. With my fam from Los Altos de Jalisco it was just another good sign of great food. Only 4 stars due to the music. I get it you got to switch the music around but when I was there they were only playing like bachata and merengue. Really good food, but awful policies from whoever manages this place. Such a shame, because the food is really good. What type of restaurant does not allow substitutions on anything? Something as easy as changing a sauce on top of a burrito should not be that difficult of a request. What would happen if someone had an allergy? I could understand if it was something premade that the sauce could not be changed on. I certainly hope the chimichangas aren't premade in the back with the sauce already poured over it. QUE MALO: We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who seated us in a booth next to a window. Throughout the entire meal, we were bombarded by flies and had to continuously fan our food to keep them from landing. At one point, we noted 7 flies on our plates or cups. The service was less than average once we were seated. We either had to flag down a staff member or wait for a very long time before they came around for refills or to order. While the restaurant was busy, it wasn't overly crowded, and the staff had time to be more attentive to all of their tables. The food was ok, the enchilada plate average, nothing special; adequate. The ambience was standard, but the echo and the noise level was terrible. We found ourselves yelling across the table to each other the duration on the meal. I am standard 30% tipper however only left 12% because of the service. I would give this a 2-3 star rating for the experience and the average food. I walked into a vibrant environment. The newly opened restaurant in Lexington is a great change of pace from the current chain that dominates the area. The entire restaurant sang and clapped when they turned up the music to sing happy birthday to a patron. The vibe is family friendly and very upbeat. If you are looking for a quiet intimate dinner this may not be your place. The energy and vibe was electric. Parking is plentiful out back and someone went out to direct people constantly if the front was full. The food and service was fantastic. I wish I could have pinned the sweet side of the mild salsa. Decided to give this place a try. Mexican food is always a bit of a gamble. You either the get the run of the mill stuff like you can get at every San Jose or on occasion you find a little gem where they server a higher quality food. I'm sorry to say that the when it comes to ingredients they certainly use the cheapest option. I ordered the most expensive dish on the menu with ribeye, chicken, chorizo and shrimp. The ribeye was 1/8 of and inch thick and obviously over cooked, the chicken was almost as thin as the tortillas, the shrimp were 31/40s so to small for your signature dish and the chorizo looked a like hot dog that just exploded, so the cheapest possible chorizo to. Flavors were alright. Not the best ever but not the worst either. The staff was on the other hand horrible. After standing at the entrance like idiots we got "waved" in. An uninterested waiter who obviously did not feel like being there got our drink order. Little to no engagement and horrible body language. Then a young girl took over. The staff as a whole made a lacks and uninterest impression going through the motions like its factory work. Little to no hospitality. The restaurant looks thrown together with dirty white chairs, brown chairs and your standard Mexican restaurant ornaments in the cheapest possible way. We paid more then 80 bucks for a so so meal with so so service at best. Then when we left nobody fell the needs to say even a word, not a friendly goodbye or come again. This restaurant staff needs some serious training and management needs to re-evaluate their choices. There is lots of choice when it comes to Mexican restaurants in the area and if they want to survive, let alone compete with the better ones, they serious need to step up their game. My girlfriend and I had never eaten here so we decided to order out from here. I got a chicken quesadilla, and she got a chicken and shrimp mango quesadilla. When she looked in the quesadilla back at home, she had 3 shrimp... literally three. Not big shrimp you might find at Publico in Columbia, or Willy Taco in Greenville. Three medium sized shrimp. She called the restaurant to ask if it was a mistake and if she could get more shrimp and over the phone the restaurant said, "yes." We then drove ALL the way back out (guess the time commitment to going out would have been better now) and we get to Que?Bueno! She went inside, spoke to the manager and he said they charge $1 per shrimp. Let me say that again. A. DOLLAR. PER. SHRIMP.
