929 has been on my Columbia bucket-list for probably five years or so. It definitely lived up to the hype. It's a nice little cozy - date night place that's fun to go to. Pros: - Fun menu! They truly have something for everyone - Excellent flavors - Spicy foods are actually spicy - You get your food really quick - Got seated very fast - Great drink menu Cons: Depending on where you sit, you sit really close to others. I got the Yaki Udon Noodles (spicy) with chicken. This was excellent and I'd absolutely get it again. Great flavors and great ingredients that work well together. My date got the Curry Udon with chicken. She really enjoyed it. Definitely a recommend. The appetizer's looked really good, too. read more

I ordered the half & half wings with a side of regular fries, everything came out fast... a little too fast. The flavor on the wings was really good but I could tell these wings were not freshly cooked, they were warm but not hot. Had to stop at one of my favorite places while in Columbia! They have remodeled since I've last been here to add more seating and it's a vibe! Definitely stop by next time your in Columbia! Our serve was Gina she was super sweet and great! We shared the rosé tteokbokki with boiled eggs, cheese, and fish cakes added. This is a new item on the menu since they remodeled. They bring out a pan and a hot plate and it cooks right in front of you. Also my first time having rosé flavoring. Delicious. 10/10 As well as their popular kimchi cheese fries. Which is as good as it always is! Could have more kimchi for me! 8/10 You also can miss out on the BanChan which is always changing. This time around they had all my favorites kimchi, kimchi cucumber, and a pickled onion 10/10 I had my favorite dish here the Japchae with fried tofu. So simple but so delicious. The food tastes great but I don't really think the portion sizes match the price at all. I always leave hungry. Service is very standard. The place is very casual but the interior is beautiful. This is our favorite place in Columbia. So many great restaurants, but this one stands out. The food is just packed full of flavor. Try the bibimbap with chicken. Pro tip ask for both sauces...sweet and spicy...and combine them! Old fashion is excellent. Service is friendly and fast. Not a whole lot of seating, but set up nicely. Went back night two because it was so good. Add the wings they are also fantastic. Bar tender made a twist on the Old Fashion for us...personally I like his original better...but my wife enjoyed the twist better (made with Rye and has hints of cinnamon and maple). We got seated right away and the service was great. I ordered the beef stir fry, kimchi cheese fries, and the dumplings it was all really good. You can even pick how spicy you want the stir fry. The restaurant was maybe 90% full, but we were attended to immediately, had our drink orders inside of two minutes, an app (the fermented starters including kimchi are fantastic) only a few minutes later, and our main food orders within ten minutes of coming in. The service was excellent and incredibly fast, the food was great (I had the squid and pork belly dish, my partner had a bi bim bap with chicken), and I dig the cozy ambience. Absolutely Worth the Visit! We had considered trying 929 Kitchen and Bar on a previous trip to Columbia but went elsewhere. This time, we made sure not to miss it--and we're so glad we did! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious from start to finish--appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The menu has something for everyone, from traditional Korean dishes to creative fusion options. We visited with our two young kids (ages 2 and 5), and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. When we asked for a highchair, one of the team members not only brought it over but also took the time to sanitize the entire chair, which we really appreciated. We also asked for water for the table, and our server went above and beyond--bringing the kids water in pouches with blinking lights, which they absolutely loved. The lunch specials were pretty run-of-the-mill, and the banchan fairly standard. The Japchae was on the oily side and the noodles were gooey not springy or Q. Our favorite dish was the fish pastry dessert that basically was like a thin donut with chocolate filling on a bed of chocolate rocks. First time coming back to IX II IX since the remodel. The big bar is gone but that means a lot more seating. USC is on spring break so it was not busy. Our server was top-notch from start to finish. He recommended the creamy curry udon with pork and that was fantastic. It's a rich dish and after an excellent mandoo starter, I was fine eating half the udon and took the rest home for lunch. (It was even better the next day.) All the food came out really fast, so if you don't like that, ask them to slow walk it. They have a lovely creative cocktail menu and a couple of nice desserts. We enjoyed an IPA and they had a good assortment of crafts, albeit all in cans. I'm going to go back for the short ribs soon. And while I'm not generally a wing guy, the Korean wings looked mighty tasty. You can't go wrong here. read more

The restaurant is clean and bathrooms were very clean as well. Everyone was super satisfied with their food. The lunch box was a great price and gave you a taste of many things. Meats were juicy and super tasty. The wings were a MUST! Super crunchy, full of flavor, just writing the review makes my mouth water. The truffle fries were also a must! 929 Is a very tasty Korean restaurant! I ordered the Osam and Galbijim which were excellent. Online it lists the restaurant as an Asian/Korean fusion restaurant which I am usually hesitant about, but 929 reminded me more of LA Korean food. There was a short wait for us to get a table ~15 minutes but it was well worth the wait and the overall dinner service was pretty quick. It seemed like the food was done almost as soon as we finished placing our order, and came out very hot. The ambiance was a little bit loud, and very busy at the time that we visited but it was not something that took away from our experience. read more
