I have learned since moving to South Carolina that there are very few dining options available on a Sunday for brunch. If you do find anything, be prepared to wait excessively. Today we drove to Columbia, and as usual massive crowds upon entering. What was different what was how it was handled. One staff member took our drink order while our server was tied up. She was adorable, her name was Tamara.. Our server , Jacob, was so sweet and apologized for making us wait. He made great suggestions on entrees especially the Cajun pasta. It was amazing with a spicy sauce., blackened chicken and asparagus. They know how to deal with massive crowds and also make sure quality and service don't suffer. Really impressive. Should you go? Absolutely...

Came in on a Friday night, not too crowded and easily grabbed a seat at the bar. Bartender was great and attentive. Started with the mussels, not great, but good. Large portion and only one was closed. Then got the crab cake sandwich, again, good but not great. Though I didn't have a bad experience at all, I was expected the food to be better.

Came here for a social with my gym members. Service was nice and the food was actually quite delicious. Multiple different seating areas to fit anyone's liking. The drinks are also amazing and I definitely see myself coming back to visit again to try the pizza next time.

Our group had chicken tenders, big burger, and the crab cake sandwich, all with the truffle parm fries and mostly enjoyed everything. Personally, I thought the crab cake sandwich was good-not great, but the fries weren't good. They were soggy, drenched in too much truffle oil and the cheese didn't taste like parm to me. But, Natalie's takeout customer service was excellent!

We came for a late lunch after reading about their onion rings. Our timing was perfect because most people had left so we had a very comfortable booth. Music was not overly loud We both had club sandwich and onion rings Because one order was big enough to share. Our server, Alex, was outstanding and took good care of us. We have found a new favorite restaurant!

Besties trying something NEW in South Carolina.

The atmosphere was nice but the food was "blah"... it wasn't my cup of tea and it didn't spark my tastebuds. I really don't don't have alot to say.

Sesame Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Asian Kale Salad

Stopped here for the first time to meet a friend for lunch. Got here right when they opened, staff were immediately friendly and welcoming as I headed to the bar. The interior is a nice, comfy design featuring a nice modern look with gamecock memorabilia as decorations. Our bartender was awesome, friendly and very helpful in recommending food for first timers. She recommended the sesame crusted ahi on top of the kale salad for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Bright flavors with the bitterness of kale, and the fresh flavors of ahi made the salad a solid 9/10 for me. My counterpart got the chicken wrap and had the chicken tossed in honey sriracha, which was outstanding as well. For a lowkey, main staple on Devine, this is a solid place to go and spend some time.

Down in Columbia SC, dropping daughter off for college. Arrived in town late Backstreets Grill was still open and we didn't wait long for a table. Not our first time here, food is excellent, waitress was kind and courteous. A good "go to" place for us down in Columbia!

Atmosphere/Ambiance: Very Friendly Staff: Friendly and welcoming Menu is organized: Drinks are on QR Code. Time: 4:39pm Appetizer: Chips with Queso Sparkling Casalotta Sparkling Veneto, Italy Hickory Chicken Wrap with Sweet Potato Fries Extra Side: Mac and Cheese Sparkling Casalotta was okay. Hickory chicken wrap was pretty good. Didn't fall apart as much while I ate it. The sweet potato fries were pretty good and better than most restaurants I been to. The Mac and cheese wasn't my fave. Overall, I will give this place five stars still because they absolutely have good customer service and do care about the quality of food they put out. The Mac and cheese and sparkling casalotta was a minor thing. This is from my perspective and I truly appreciate the time you took to read my review.

    What's the parking like?

There's some rear parking, along the side (like enough for 4 cars), street parking of course with a small walk depending on distance, but they do provide valet.

The food surpassed my expectations, particularly the red pepper dip. I also saw the teriyaki beef tacos and thought they'd be meh, but they were really quite tasty! Did not order entrees. I would say they should add a vegetarian/vegan entree option (or substitution) (beyond something mundane like a salad)- maybe I didn't look hard enough. The service was good but not anything to rave about. We were there at what seemed to be a relatively slow time of day/week (maybe 20% of the restaurant was full). Nothing bad to say here. The pricing was as expected. Pretty typical. Also, why no champagne on the menu?! Come on guys (lol, again, maybe I didn't look hard enough). So- 4 out of 5. Not knocking it because of any complaints, it's just pretty average for Columbia. Though I do think they deserve higher than 3.6 based on my experience.

We were so excited to try this place because neither of us had ever been there. We walked in to a beautifully Christmas themed decorated bar with a fun vibe. We were seated upstairs, which gave us an amazing view of all the decor. Haley was our server and was great, offering great suggestions as to what was popular on the menu. We both ordered a drink, an appetizer to share and two entrées. The cheese ball appetizer was delicious! Great flavor but a bit small. My friend got the fried rice with steak and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, I ate a quarter of my sandwich before realizing that the inside of the chicken was still raw. When I flagged down a waitress, Kia, she could not have been more apologetic and said she would get me a new sandwich and the manager would bring it to me. After a few moments, the manager came up to our table with a new sandwich. She put it on the table and I cut it in half to make sure that this one was cooked. this woman said absolutely nothing to me i.e. announcing that she was the manager, apologizing for my raw chicken sandwich, ask us if there was anything else we needed, ask if my friend's food was OK. She did not say one word! She set the plate down and walked away. When I told our regular server, Haley, she was surprised and still very apologetic for the whole thing happening. It was a really fun Christmas experience simply because of all of the cute pop-up Christmas decor. I don't know that I would return for just a regular visit. I certainly will not be getting the chicken sandwich ever again if I do.

We arrived early on a Friday night and thank goodness we did because it got busy really quick. The parking area was very small, not sure if there is additional parking elsewhere. I can imagine on a game night this would be the spot to go with the open floor plan. We started with fried pickles and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak add lettuce. If you want Mayo it comes on the air just a heads up. The fried pickles well well well we might have hit the jackpot .. they were fresh out the grease .. not that nasty cornmeal either . And the ranch dipping sauce is good also I dog think it homemade but nonetheless good. As in the past the appetizer got me excited and was disappointed by the entree ... my Philly was suppose to coke all the way with the mayo on the side ... the peppers and onions were left off. Then I wasn't too pressed but the Philly had yellow cheese so if you're a cheesesteak fan this may not be the item to order. The waitress brought me a side of peppers and onions and I tried to make it work but it was a no go. Once I finally finished making my Philly ... I took a bite and the steak was burnt ... the waitress was nice to take it off and I asked her to charge me for just the fries which I BODIED LOL ...They have the malt vinegar on the table so I dressed the fries up. Not the best experience at all. Especially on a slow night I get mistakes happen but sheesh. Maybe I'm just to cheesesteaks being made with care and I didn't get that here. I wouldn't say don't visit ... but don't get you hopes up to be disappointed.
