Rush's is a great place for fried chicken and chicken sandwiches. That is what they are known for. However, they have cheese burgers, chili dogs, and deserts as well. All are highly recommended. When we moved here everyone said to try Rush's. I don't see what the hype is about, it's an okay fast food spot. The burgers are okay, fries leave a lot to be desired and the fried chicken isn't very good. The place seems like it's in need of a renovation, maybe it was once a gem however I feel it's better days are behind it. Ambiance, there really is none. read more

Grew up in rush's so a little biased but the value is always there. You can feel the weight of the burger when they hand it to you and the portions of the fries are generous. Usually quick always tasty you don't pay for some of the frills and trendy decor that other places charge for. Just good old fashioned dairy bar style fare. Love it read more

I have enjoyed fast food for much of my life, but continue to "write off" one brand after another for one reason or another. Rush's continues to be my go to place. Their food quality, cleanliness and friendly staff continues. I am convinced their business model is to have one or more adults on duty at all times, without letting the kids run the show. read more

Went here on my lunch break. Obviously I had limited time so I chose this place and I am disgusted!!! I ordered two chilli dogs no onions add ketchup with fries and a drink. Total was $15.00 +. I get all the way to work to find that my dogs were in old moldy buns.The Food came quick. Fries were good. Soda was good. But the chili dogs were in molded bread! Either their staff didn't care or didn't know what bread mold can look like. EITHER WAY IT'S UNACCEPTABLE! Never had a bad meal. Service is prompt, place is clean and an overall pleasant experience. A step above generic fast food. Usually either a burger, chili burger or chicken club. Rarely order fries as sadly, I find them average. More often than not they need to be crisper and served hotter. That's a minor thing that won't keep me away. I'll be back. read more

Best cherry milkshake around and really great chili dogs. 5 stars for those. They lose stars for how boring their fries and burgers are. Their coleslaw used to be amazing but it's changed (or I had experienced an anomaly with it being amazing). Keep in mind, different staff work at different locations. You'll get different experiences in order speed and mistakes depending where you go. Every single restaurant with multiple locations is like that. We haven't had issues with ours but we mainly used the same location. Anyway, I recommend you go try a cherry milkshake. And then bring me one. read more

This was the worst take-out restaurant experience I've had in a long time. The drive-through was moving fairly quickly, so I got in line and ordered a gluten-free burger basket. A few seconds later a man, a managerial type sounding person, came on and asked me what I meant by a gluten-free burger. At that point, I should have just gotten out of line but it was impossible. So I said I wanted a burger with either no bun, a gluten-free bun, or just wrapped in lettuce. He said they couldn't do any of those things but they could put a burger on top of some lettuce and asked if that was okay. I said I guess so as I had no other choice. So I paid for my meal and drove home which was a little less than ten minutes away. You can see in the picture what their idea of a gluten-free burger is. Now a basket is supposed to include french fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was entirely missing. The french fries were not finished cooking and were cold. The hamburger was cold as well, so I threw that into a frying pan, and I put the french fries in my toaster oven. It took about ten minutes for the fries to start turning golden brown. That's how undercooked they were. As for the hamburger, I'm not even sure that is all meat. There was no salt on anything, and there was no salt included in my bag. There were four packets of mustard included and four packets of ketchup included, which was supposed to be for all of my French fries and my hamburger as well. The only good thing was that my food was wrapped in paper and not in styrofoam, which is wasteful for the environment. However, I did get a large drink which was in styrofoam. So that makes no sense whatsoever. Overall, this was a very puzzling and difficult experience. With Celiac Disease so prevalent these days, how could a restaurant that's part of a large chain be so ignorant of and unaccommadating to people with this deadly disease? This is South Carolina, and I could understand this if it was a small Mom & Pop restaurant, but it's not. Not by any means. read more

I've wanted Rush's all week long. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, and it was great. I ordered wings and they still have my stomach hurting hours later. They tasted old and just bad. I took two bites out of the first one tried another before throwing them away. This is not typical of Rush's. First I wanted fried chicken and was told they were out it would be 15 minutes. Wife's burger was not fixed as she asked for even though the burger sleeve it was in was marked correctly. Lastly the place was crawling with flies. A customer in front of us had to return his hotdog as it wasn't prepared as he asked. I've probaly eaten at Rush's a 1000 times since the late 60's. Something is badly wrong at this one. read more

Glad they finally got this one built. It has great ability but the management needs some help. After 15 years of great food and service from 378 location....don't let us down. This location is nothing like the other Rush's. Such a disappointment since it took so long to open. If I wanted McDonald's service I'd go there and save me some money. They need some older people working at the drive thru. The kids there have no customer service skills and I've never seen management up front and working like the other rush's. Hopefully they'll hire some seasoned people to help bring this rushs up to the standards im used to with the other ones. read more

What happened to the hot dogs!!! We are from Atlanta with my wife having grown up in Columbia. She introduced me to Rush's and we love stopping by for a couple of dogs, fries and a drink when we come to Lexington. Got our traditional order and could not finish the hot dogs. The wieners were terrible. What did you do? I would normally give Rush's a 4 or 5. But unless they figure out what they did to the dogs, we will go elsewhere. read more
