Well.. I'm 58 years old. Been going to RUSH's since I was about 5 years old. My Mom actually met her X Husband there. He was a kind generous man. The irony was we both wound up working there. Several years apart. We had a different work ethic back then. Food was much better than it is now. We literally had about 65 % less of the employees they have now making about 75% less and work 275% harder putting out 500% better food. With respect to our employees and customers. I'm at the point now that I'm done. No more excuses. No more attitude. No more sadly prepared lackluster performances or food. Or poor/uncaring management...WTF happened RUSH'S????? Between you not using Peanut Oil in your Fried Chicken and your new nasty Crinkle Cut Fries. Oh and the BBQ that you get from Maurice BBQ that is almost $20 a pound,and the nasty Hotdogs that you found a way to go from the best to the worst....wait a minute!! Somehow you finally figured out a way to destroy your burger quality too..It's not Okd Timey Meat Markets Fault. Oh,maybe that because you actually cook your burgers ahead of time and set them in a nasty trough of hot water In a beef broth mixture until you decide to throw them back on the grill and kill what's left of the taste. What do you do, save the cold, stale nasty food for the customers in the drive thru? My husband stopped by for a burger to take home. He said fries were cold and stale and just said the burger was awful. Had he eaten inside, he could have complained and gotten fresh ones. Went to Rushs and ordered the 12 piece chicken supper to go among other items. Ordered inside because lately when we order the drive thru we are always missing at least one item. Thought going in would create a more accurate order. Got the order, checked to make sure everything was accounted for as far as bags and what we thought were in the bag, came home and realized that gave us 9 pieces of chicken, no breast, no thigh in sight. Box says 8 piece on it even when we ordered and paid for a 12 piece. Should we as customers need to count our chicken before leaving? Seriously? This place used to be quite an establishment but has been going downhill lately, and let's not bring up the fry issue...we will take a long break from good 'ol Rushs, hope they get it together soon. read more

We were really hungry but didn't want a heavy dinner so we did the drive through at Rush's. We ordered slaw dogs they were tender and delicious. The service was fast and friendly Prices very reasonable Would highly recommend this local restaurant! read more

New to the area and got the late night urge to try some local cuisine. Was thinking no one else had my same idea, but boy was I wrong. The line was wrapped around the building at nearly 30 minutes till closing on a Thursday night. The service was amazing because they got everyone served in a VERY timely manner. I ordered the chicken club (very delicious), chili cheese fries (not the best chili I've tasted, but still very good), a strawberry milkshake, and an apple turnover (very delicious as well). Super friendly staff and service. My hot dog was delicious! Rush's has the best chili. Good value for the money. Always clean inside which is a must for me! After several weeks out on the road with my husband in a semi truck eating Subway, this was a very nice change! I will definitely recommend this Rush's to everyone. It is 5:45 the lobby closes at 5:00. WTH. The drive thru has over 50 cars winding thru the parking lot. Oh and it is a Sunday night. Not going to waste gas (have you seen the price of gas?) waiting for a burger. If a living wage was paid these issues could be avoided. I used to consider Rush's a staple burger joint in the area but they have slid down some among the competition in my mind. The food is ok but when I want a burger, I have had better at Five Guys, Freddys, and smashburger and they typically pop in my head. We love Rush's chili cheeseburgers! Having moved to Dallas in March, we are in the area visiting family for a few days and getting a chili cheeseburger was on our must-do list. Unfortunately, the service was less than stellar. Cashiers need to understand the importance of acknowledging waiting customers. It was disappointing to stand there and have employees avoid eye contact. They were busy with the drive through, but they could have said that they would be with us as soon as possible. I have eaten here many times, and it never rises above mediocrity in my opinion. I have the cheeseburger most of the time. Fries are never as good as they should be. But now, I have to YELP about the horrible condition (and size) of the mens restroom. This store has much neglect. On Sunday past the sink was cracked, the lock on the toilet door is broken and totally missing, the place was filthy, and very tiny for a place with a dining room this size. Can't believe this restroom is up to code. Faucet is 10 years old. Why does a prosperous chain like this neglect something as basic as restrooms? My companion insisted we go here, she is from out of town, and after we finished the meal, she said "this place is slipping, lets don't come here next time I am in town". My sentiments exactly. PS -- on Sunday women were standing in the hall waiting to get in their restroom, which has little privacy, just like the men's the door opens into a tiny space that could be "in use". I am sure glad my companion didn't need to use the women's room. PSS -- not all Rushes are as in as much need of repair as this one, but overall, they are not what they used to be in the beginning. So I just moved to the lexington area not too long ago, and this is one of the first local restaurants I've visited. From what I understand it's locally owned so of course I had to try it out. First thing I have to mention, of course, is the speed. I had three people ahead of me and still had my food within about two minutes. So that's pretty impressive. The customer service is great as well, all are very friendly. I ordered the double cheese burger basket. The quality of the food is okay. I like the fries, light yet slightly crispy. A touch more salt would be nice, but that's just my personal opinion. Burger was eh. It tasted how McDonald's burgers used to taste before they stepped their game up. The meal was over $10, so for the quality the price is pretty steep, which is tough with McDonald's being right across the street. I can get the same meal there for almost half the cost, and that comes with a drink (the basket didn't). So in conclusion, if you think great service and super speed is worth the bump in price, I'd go for it. However, I am curious to try their chicken... read more

While you can go to another restaurant and get a better hamburger, Rush's has the best French fries and milkshakes around. The prices arent bad and neither is the staff. I have been eating Rush's since it first came to Columbia. I have lived in Atlanta for the last 22 years and always visit the Lexington location when visiting my family. Sometimes I will go more than once because I like several items on the menu. The chili dogs have always been my favorite. I was so disappointed yesterday to find they have been changed. We have always loved Rush's. They are normally hot and fresh. But for the last few months, this branch has been poor. Cold fries, the order is wrong and the service is less than desirable. Tonight, we tried again. 3 cheeseburger baskets. 3 wrong orders? My daughter wanted ketchup only. It was marked correct, but the burger was wrong. My burger had random stuff on it, although it was marked normal on the wrapper. It almost seemed deliberate? We drove 1.3 miles home and one of the burgers was actually cold. Not room temp but cold? After we spent about $15, we all agreed our food wasn't worth eating and we threw it in the trash. There are too many burgers joints to waste our money here. A GREAT burger. Messy, greasy, gigantic. But, when you are in the drive through you can expect to sit there for about 15 minutes to get your food. But, the food is hot and fresh. So, not exactly fast food, but yummy. read more

Two stars because my husband liked his burger. I ordered a Chili Cheeseburger. What I got was a Cheeseburger with a dab of chili. Who in the South puts lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, 6 pickles and NO Mustard on a CHILICHEESEBURGER? Don't call it a CHILI Cheeseburger, call it what it is a Cheeseburger with a dab of chili. OK I have been a Rush's patron for many years started at the broad river rd. store and I have to say over the past couple of years quality of the food and service have gone down. We liked there chicken however the past several times I have been the chicken has obviously been sitting for a while usually grease. So I went again last night and I will say for the last time, around 6pm ordered a 8 piece white meal drove up to the window to be told they were 1 breast short and would replace it with a wing now in my book a wing is no replacement for a breast I was ask was that ok and of course I said no, well the young lady got her supervisor which told me it would be 20mins keep in mind it was 6pm when most people would want to get dinner so my question is why were they not prepared with fresh chicken dropped so they were ready for the dinner rush needless to say the supervisor got an attitude. When I got home the wings we did get were old and grease and that just confirmed my decision to not use them again.
