The food is always outstanding! The ambience is elegant and the service is always top notch . We got the steak frites, pampano and airplane chicken ( named bc of the wing that sticks up like a plane wing ). Everything was amazing

Once you arrive into Terra you can nestle yourself into a booth assuming you have made reservations. Don't skimp on the red wine or the bourbon you'd be mistaken as they have a spectacular list. I'm not particularly a bourbon guy but I always try a glass here with my meal. I usually run the menu order several dishes for the table. Charcuterie is really good and fun to share. Last special I had was basically Indian chicken Tika masala pot pie very tasty. This restaurant should be in your rotation because the chef here is amazingly talented , highly recommend coming here for date night.

Enjoyed a delicious meal at Terra on Tuesday night! Highly recommend getting a reservation as it was busy even on a Tuesday! They offer inside & outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is on a beautiful shaded patio. I apologize for not getting many pictures- it was a family event & I was trying to focus on my people . We had the Korean short rib lettuce wraps as an appetizer- highly recommend ! They are very flavorful & big enough to share. For the main course, we ordered the swordfish, duck dip & the steak frittatas. Honestly all the dishes were amazing but that swordfish was cooked to perfection! I don't think you can go wrong with anything here! Looking forward to going back! ( I think the menu does rotate frequently)

Our entire experience at Terra was exceptional! We had a party of 15 celebrating the graduation of our children from USC and everyone was very impressed. I contacted Mike, their GM, in December about making reservations. He stated it was too early to book, but offered to reach out to me when reservations opened. True to his word, Mike reached out in February to confirm our reservation. Mike also reached out a couple of times to confirm our headcount and our reservation. Upon arriving we were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly, helpful and attentive! She stopped by frequently to see if anyone needed drink refills and to ensure everything was okay. Mike also stopped by a couple of times to thank us for dining with them and to make sure we were doing well. Appetizers, main courses and drinks were outstanding! Only wish we had discovered this restaurant sooner! I'll be sure to spread the word as this dining experience was beyond 5 star!

By far one of my favorite spots in Columbia. The food is always incredible and they rotate the menu often enough that I can go every couple weeks and get something new! The dishes are very inspired and tap into the southern food we all know and love while bringing in exciting and unique elements. Drinks are always great and the bartenders are the best!

I'm the type of Mom who loves celebrating every possible thing, every day and I'm all about experiences. When celebrating my sons latest accolades in the Columbia area, I found myself spending a good amount of time trying to curate the perfect graduation day for him (from my Airbnb, to his favorite little traditional celebratory dessert and meals). I really wanted to pay homage to the fact we were in Columbia and try many of their local restaurants while selecting places that felt in line with our usual vibe. Terra was a fantastic choice! We shared a really lovely dinner here together. My mom, my sons girlfriend and I each ordered a different cocktail. They were all great but I think my sons girlfriends took the cake. A mezcal based drink (and I don't typically love the smokiness of a mezcal) but this drink was very very good. My mom had a unique cocktail that incorporated peanut butter and jelly. Very impressive! My tequila based grapefruit cocktail was refreshing but certainly the most basic of the bunch. We ordered many items to share family style between the five of us, because we often want a little bit of everything when trying a new spot. The Korean short rib lettuce wraps were insane good! The lamb Mac (which I kept referring to as lobster Mac) followed and was also very, very good!!! We shared the pimento cheeseburger pizza - holy moly! Delish! And the fresh fish of the day (soooo yummy). My mom always orders her own things and shares with us, she had the green salad (sooo yummy! I had a good bit of it) and the Trout (also very good!). I think a fish dish is definitely the move here. We ordered two, I'd strongly suggest at least one. They are very nicely done. Every item we ordered was 5 star! I'd highly recommend Terra based on our experience. Great spot for a nice dinner.

We finally decided to try Terra on a Friday night and it was overall a good experience. They have valet parking and reservations available, which I would definitely recommend. Their menu is rotating and has lots of fresh seasonal items which I loved since it makes every visit there different. I will say, the menu is very limited though so if you are not willing to branch out and try something new, this isn't the place for you. However, they do have menu items that are available year round like the lamb mac n cheese and steak frites. The food was very fresh and tasty, the only miss for me was the Korean short rib lettuce wraps. Also, the lamb mac n cheese was more than enough for an entree even though it is listed under small plates. The restaurant itself was also fairly large, you get a great view of the skyline and the service was excellent. Overall it was a nice place and I am glad we gave it a try!

Ok... so beyond impressed, was traveling for work and a friend suggested, they were spot on. We sat at the bar, staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The BEST paper plane I have had in a long time!! Fried oysters for apps, with swamp sauce Grilled Grouper was cooked to perfection The pork Milanese was one of the most creative concoctions I have tasted, so delectable!! Did not take a ton of pics but we were thoroughly enjoying!

Delicious food and an elegant locals atmosphere. Menu is a bit limited on main course options, but all of the choices looked delicious. The wine list and drink lists were very good and provided many options. Servers seemed a bit overwhelmed but worked hard and were very knowledgeable. I decided to start with the lamb Mac which was absolutely amazing! It was a creamy mac & cheese with goat cheese and fontina, with bits of smoked lamb shoulder throughout. I would get this every time. For my main course, I decided to go with the Carolina heritage farms, pork chop, which had a Hispanic flair, and was very flavorful. All in all, I was very happy with my experience, the meal, and the atmosphere.

Made reservations for a Saturday evening at 5:15. They opened at 5pm so not many people when we arrived but the place quickly started to fill up. Service was good as the waitress had great suggestions. For starters ordered raw oysters and simple salad, both were great 5/5. For entrees we had the steak and soft shell crab. The steak was cooked perfectly was great flavor. The crab was the best soft shell I've ever had. I'm hesitant ordering soft shell because the shell texture can be tough to get pass but theirs was perfectly executed and full or great flavor. Also had the sherry cocktail with was like a Smokey margarita made with mezcal, really good. The ambiance was nice. It's very spacious and clean and they have free valet parking!! Would recommend!

Terra is unique in many ways: according to the chef, who visited our table after our meal, he's owned it for 17 years. So to longevity I would add a quiet, pleasant ambience, great service, and innovative, and flavorful dishes. If you want to kick your meal off with some nice drinks, the wine and and beer list is extensive, I admit I wasn't familiar with most of the wine labels. I had an old-fashioned with Maker's and I was quite satisfied. We ordered a bottle of Zinfandel. Dry for a Zin but a good choice. Kudos to our server Halle, very pleasant and accommodating. Our appetizers consisted of the fried kibbeh, Brussels-nomiyaki, Korean short rib lettuce wraps, domestic shrimp remoulade, and some green salads. This reviewer was fortunate to have sampled most of the starters. They were all good but the stars of the "starter show" were the brussels and lettuce wraps. The brussels sprouts are shredded and seasoned with ginger mayo, fish sauce caramel, and Bonita flakes (they sway!). Great crunch and savory heaven. We had some great entrées as well: pork Milanese, steak frites, vegetable explosion, vegetable plate, and lamb chops. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these entrées. My pork was served with a romesco sauce. The flavor was strong with a touch of smokiness; the ribeye steak had a good flavor. I had a chance to taste the vegetable explosion. Authentic Unami with this one! We wrapped up this epic meal with some great desserts. The carrot cake came highly recommended. It was good, but not the best we've had. If you're looking for a unique dining experience and great service, Terra will not disappoint.

Love Terra. We walked in and since no reservations we sat at a first come bar table. Great atmosphere of a restaurant where clean lines meets classy. Menu is extensive for drinks , craft beer and various wines . Small plates or large plates items exist from vegetarian to carnivores. We enjoyed the fried oysters for an appetizer 10 pieces with a two different dipping sauces Tender and not overly fried Two of us ordered the Wreck fish with fried okra and a gently spicy hot sauce along with blacked eye peas. While I ordered the shrimp with fresh greens. This was light,, fresh and clean tasting. Through out the evening we ordered drinks whole waiting for food.. Now all was very good except...service was slow to get drinks, slow to get food, slow to get check..we felt like we we were regularly looking for our wait staff to come back.. This was frustrating.. this type of restaurant should have service that anticipates a patron potential needs or want a. Now I understand some businesses need help...but it seemed like they had the proper ratio of staff to patrons. Hopefully this will get better Definitely worth another trip... even with the questionable service

You can check out all my other food photos on Instagram at adventures_in_eating_ I came to Tara to check out these two items on the menu. First let me say I'm not a fan of Mac and cheese, but oh my gosh!!!! This lamb Mac and cheese was epic. There was a party in my mouth! Korean short rib lettuce wraps was awesome. I love that this place has its own dedicated pizza maker and it's on Pizza oven. Sitting at the bar is great for watching how they make pizza

The food surpassed my expectations, particularly the red pepper dip. I also saw the teriyaki beef tacos and thought they'd be meh, but they were really quite tasty! Did not order entrees. I would say they should add a vegetarian/vegan entree option (or substitution) (beyond something mundane like a salad)- maybe I didn't look hard enough. The service was good but not anything to rave about. We were there at what seemed to be a relatively slow time of day/week (maybe 20% of the restaurant was full). Nothing bad to say here. We ended up stopping at The Grand around 9/9:30pm on a Saturday. Upon entering the hostess informed us they were currently only serving the late night menu. We said no problem and elected to grab seats at the bar. There were several empty tables and a few empty seats @ the bar. However, the only two seats together at the bar needed to be cleared from the last patrons that were seated. We stood there for over 20 mins while Jacob continued to walk by never acknowledging us or the fact that we couldn't sit. When he finally cleared the dishes he just walked away, never cleaning the area. When he returned he still never greeted us or apologized for the wait, the mess... nothing. Jacob: What are you having? Me: Well hello... Jacob: Yea... what do you want? Me: Wow... ok. For starters can you please whip off the bar so we can properly have a seat. There is still food residue here from the last customers. ** we get a visible huff** He wipes down the bar and we proceed to order drinks, while he never really speak any more it's all via motions and body language. Amongst ourselves we check in with one another to confirm that we both were feeling very unwelcome. Instantly we decide that we will not be ordering anything additional and will be leaving after this one drink. Which is just as well because Jacob never returns. Someone , whom I can only assume was of a mangement status, asked if Jacob was helpful and we promptly and simultaneously said no and that we would like or bill. She shook her head in utter disbelief and disgust but then she also disappeared. Just so happened that Diamond, whom was on the other side of the bar happen to walk pass. She stopped and asked if we were ok after witnessing our frustration. We explained that we wanted the check and why we were leaving. She was super apologetic and closed out our tab. Her energy literal turned the experience around and if she would have came to our rescue sooner we would have considered staying. Thank you Diamond. Just A Note: Unfortunately, bad first impression because The Grand seems like it may offer a good time with the bowling lanes in the back.

The place is very well air conditioned, and the space is very intentional. Visiting from out of state the waitress seemed a bit shy/new but curious about Wisconsin she warmed up a little bit. It's really cool that you can see the chefs in their element behind a glass wall while you wait. The silverware, or should I say Goldwear was beautiful. I started out with the All American Spritz- it was good but nothing extraordinary. However when I tried the pistachio martini, I was in disbelief! I was skeptical to order it as I've never even heard of one before and was unsure how pistachio would translate into a martini. It was creamy and somehow savory and sweet at the same time, the alcohol taste was nonexistent. And the rim was coated in pistachio crumbs. Both the drinks presentation was beautiful. I personally ordered the bbq chicken sandwhich, with mac and cheese instead of fries for the side. The sandwich was smoky, I could not stop eating it! If anyone was wondering what so special about the mac and cheese, it's the name of the noodles. And yes, the waitress will sound it out with you lol! The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy, and I found it a bit bland unfortunately. There was no order the same in the group I came with. The truffle fries were on the thinner crispier side, neat that there were different color of potatoes used. The duck wings came out like their very own presentation. I tried the alligator bites, that were served with 2 sauces, I thought there were kind of chewy , and weird enough I guess I have a preference with how my alligator is served since having tried some at the Wisco State fair. I love that the menu feels curated, you know what you're there for and it's not overwhelming to pick from the options of something new. The bathroom was very cute too! And the bar area was lit up, a cool atmosphere.

That created a slightly rushed feeling right from the start of the experience. When the food arrived, it was not served hot. The fries were seasoned but came out cold, so we had to send them back. The service also felt a bit disengaged, as though the server was ready to wrap things up, even though there was still about 30 to 45 minutes before closing time. That said, once the food was remade and served hot, it was really good. My salad, however, was not the same experience, as the lettuce had brown spots throughout, which took away from the overall quality. You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.
