I decided to try market on main with my best friend. We loved the location. The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a huge grass turf with TVs. Our server was amazing and helped us order. I ordered the lobster roll and fries. The bread was amazing toasted, buttered, and a good mixture of soft and crisp in the right places. The lobster was not seasoned well (bland) and a little over cooked. We also enjoyed a cute gold chain duck drink. We loved the decoration on it. The fries were great! I would love to go back and try another dish and a few other drinks!
The ambiance was very nice, but the lights kept flickering, otherwise it's a nice, enjoyable environment. The truffle fries were my favorite! Although they are extremely shoestring-cut fries, they were really good. I ordered a ranch to accompany the fries, and the ranch was delicious. I ordered the margarita as well as the sangria; both of those cocktails were very sweet, and although they lacked the taste of alcohol, they were good. The crab rangoon dip was okay. I can't put my finger on it, but it was missing something that would have taken it to the next level, and it would have been really good. It was almost there, though, and the wonton chips were great as well. I was not a fan of the wings. They did not have flavor and seemed a bit off in taste and texture. Next time I think I'll try something different. Lastly, the service was great. The restaurant and restrooms were clean.
Been thinking of this place a few times, but have passed because I thought it was a seat yourself and wait in line at different counters for your food.......not at all! The service is above par, from checking in to the service at the table, very attentive and quick! The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is because the length of the menu, I was thinking more.....but honestly the choices they had will make me come back! I got the waygu burger and it was cooked PERFECTLY, seasoned amazing, the truffle fries were crispy and flavorful, the homemade ranch was some of the best I had, and I honestly loved their smoked ketchup! The place would be even better during the hot months due to their outside seating, so can't wait to try.
The seating and outdoor venue is the best part of this restaurant. If you're looking to go in the summer and watch a sports game outdoor or have some good live music with friends, then this is definitely the place! Venue is easily a 10/10. The food is another thing. I think it's a hit or a miss. I think certain foods are slightly overpriced for what it is, and others are worth it. For example, the wings I got were charred nicely and seasoned great! The sauce with the wings also paired nicely. 9/10 The beer was a nice one, citrusy, and flavorful, not too heavy. 8/10 The burger was decent, but the fries aren't my personal preference. I wouldn't say it's a bad burger, but it's also not the best I've had, overall, it's a decent burger. 7/10 I will try other options next time I go. The service was good however; waiter was kind and quick with the food which appreciated. I came here when the World Cup was going on and it was a great spot for the event!
Lots of outdoor seating. Live music and a huge screen outside so you can catch a game. Service was pretty quick and they did well to accommodate a large group. They do take reservations. Pricing is reasonable. Lots of drink selections. Would come back and try a burger and a cocktail flight
Visiting on Fourth of July and most establishments were closed but not this one! Great ambience, and vibe! Visit the bar and see Alex! Gave us some great southern hospitality and this cool blue duck
Love this spot!! If you're looking for fabulous cocktails, yummy food, friendly service, and beautiful vibes.. look no further! Market on Main is one of my go-to spots in Columbia. My whole group was very happy with their food and drinks. Vegan options as well like a delicious soup and veggie burger! We will be back again next year
Service was great, although they were training a lot of new people. Inside was pleasant. The food is where it fell off for me. All the great reviews on the mom burger and fries, so with us being in town today, my wife and I decided to try the place out. She ordered the stepmom and I got the mom burger. The fries..... it made me think of overcooked McDonald with lots of parsley flakes and parm. cheese all over and they were extra greasy. So no go for me. The burger was a HOT MESS. Taste and look like a Sam's Club frozen patty, but with a LOT of this restaurant's sauce. It was soaked to the max. The taste was not the greatest to me. I would say we came, tried and now done. 50.00 later for Sam's Club meat and McDonald's overcooked fries just wasn't hitting.
My family was visiting my sister this weekend in Columbia and she took us here for dinner. Food was incredible, the flavors were great. We started with the crab Rangoon dip (not pictured) and it had a nice sweet Thai chili sauce with crispy wontons. For meals we got the MOM burger, truffle fries, Caesar salad, and steakhouse wedge salad. Everyone loved their meals. We were in the sunroom and even though it was raining the area was very cozy. Definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to try it, it gets very busy!
Service was a tad slower than expected but the amount of people our server had was extensive. The grilled cheese had too much cheese for my liking. I would have also liked for it to be paired with something like tomato soup. The grilled cheese on the dinner menu just provides you a grilled cheese, nothing else. My toddler did enjoy it with me. The wings portion was nice. My mother had a side salad. Both not pictured (forgot to get photos). Live music started up just was we were leaving. It seems like a nice brunch spot
My husband and I Came to celebrate with my son & his fiancé, his army Boot Camp graduation from Fort Jackson. My son had heard about this spot and wanted to come check you guys out and you did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The ambience was very nice. The environment was great and we highly enjoyed ourselves and got stuffed. Our server katelyn was a sweetheart and we highly enjoyed our food and the service. Thanks we definitely recommend this spot if you are in South Carolina for some delicious food and great ambience..
Service was great and food was really good! I would say the tacos could have been elevated slightly in the overall kick but flavors were still there. The vibes in the place were awesome and they had sports games up on the tv which made a great environment. Overall would definitely go again.

My husband and I were in town for a wedding and I saw that this place had good views on yelp and looked delicious. Best decision -- loved all the seating areas, inside, glass porch and out door seating -- all were really cute. We sat inside the glass porch and it was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. Our waitress was incredible. I had asked for my burger medium but it came out pretty rare. She was so accommodating and sent it back to make it right. To start off we ordered a Caesar salad to share -- y'all... this was the best Caesar salad I've EVER HAD!!! 100/10 would recommend!! The burgers and fries were amazing too! Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Hope to come back and visit. read more
I wouldn't say this restaurant is bad by any means. I feel like the restaurant isn't the main identity of this establishment and it puts itself in a position where the entertainment takes priority. The live music and jeopardy nights is honestly really fun, but the food feels sidelined. The food can taste pretty decent like the Grilled Chicken on the lunch menu but it can also be terrible like the special tacos they brought in during winter. Though my biggest complaint is that the dishes are overpriced. I usually rotate Halls and The Palmetto Club whenever I'm not exploring but the value here is somehow worse. I have nothing bad to say about the service. The workers are great and I compliment them for doing such a good job outside with how hot and cold it gets. read more

MOM!! Literally such a fab establishment. It's beautifully done on the inside and I love the outdoor component as well. If you feeling like a baddie, order the "girl dinner" it's this HUGE martini glass filled to the brim with a Caesar salad TOPPED WITH SHOESTRING FRIES aaaaaaand you get either a drink or a dessert (I got the espresso martini option) 10/10 do recommend. Also Nick is incredible, as is Mackenzie! read more

We came with the family and were immediately seated, which was great. However, it was clear the restaurant was short-staffed. We eventually had to ask for our waitress so we could place our order and get a refill on water. She was so busy that another waitress kindly stepped in to assist us. The food arrived surprisingly quickly once the order was placed. The truffle fries were a bit over the top with oil but still yummy. The bacon was tough and extremely salty. Unfortunately, the brunch burger was a letdown, as it was filled with gristle and lacked seasoning. Additionally, we had requested scrambled eggs on the burger, but when it was brought out with eggs that weren't scrambled, we asked for a side of scrambled eggs instead. This led to an awkward situation where someone from the staff informed us that we would need to pay for additional eggs. We had to explain that we weren't trying to get extra eggs, but rather just wanted the order corrected. We even offered to return the incorrectly prepared eggs. It seemed like a misunderstanding, but it felt as though the staff member thought we were trying to take advantage, which was disappointing. While the staff was generally friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant, these issues combined with inconsistencies in the food left us feeling that the experience was lacking overall. Since this is a spot I have enjoyed in the past and the bartender is amazing, I will keep it on the list and eventually try again. read more

Last week was my second time at Market On Main. The first time, we stopped in after exploring the Soda City Market. It was raining so were seated in the sunroom, which had plenty of natural light and fun neon signage that read "Famously Hot". I ordered the M.O.M Burger, which was really good! The burger itself was well prepared and very filling. I also loved the truffle fries it came with! I'm a big fan of skinny fries and the truffle flavor/seasoning was tasty. The second time, my boyfriend and I visited for dinner. We were seated on the patio, which had a lively ambiance. They had a projector screen for the football game and were setting up for some live music. For drinks, I got a Mojito mocktail, which was tasty and refreshing. I wasn't super hungry, so I ended up just getting the Mushroom & Zucchini Special, which was an appetizer. It was simple but tasty, and I loved the goat cheese on top. My boyfriend chose Lemongrass Grilled Chicken. This dish had a bit of spice to it and was delicious in a healthy way. Service was a bit lukewarm, but fast. Overall, Market On Main is consistently good - would return! read more

Market on Main was a really cool bar experience! I walked in about 30 minutes before they closed, and really only patronized the bar area. Having said that, it was still a great time. The inside bar area was nice and clean, and the bartender was very friendly as well. My favorite aspect of the restaurant was probably the outdoor bar, which allows you to enjoy the outdoors while having a drink. They also seemed to have a nice outdoor lawn setup, which looks like the perfect place to watch a major sporting event, or perhaps several sporting events at one time. All-in-all, Market on Main was really cool, and I'll assuredly be back to experience more of the restaurant in the future! read more

This restaurant was super cute and perfect for a girls' night out. Our server was missing the entire time, wasn't very helpful, and never checked on our table. We ordered the girl dinner secret menu special, but our server didn't inform us of pricing or anything. While the girl dinner tasted great, it was overpriced. For a salad and truffle fries, I shouldn't be paying +$30. I can happily order truffle fries and a salad separately for cheaper. I understand I am paying for the experience of an oversized martini glass, but I would've appreciated being informed of pricing. The truffle fries are delicious, and they are probably my favorite truffle fries I have ever gotten!! The salad pairs great with the fries, and I love having fries as a crouton! read more

It's very unfortunate to have to leave a review like this, But the manger on duty last night 2/2/25 ( TALON ) was rude / unprofessional to say the least. The night started off on a sour note when I was brought out a drink that was off in flavor and the weirdest aftertaste. When I asked if it could be replaced I was told no ( But if I wanted something els I'd still have to pay for both drinks ) That came from the manger TALON, My poor waiter was so uncomfortable and embarrassed about the whole situation. I felt bad for him. I didn't understand why the manger couldn't come talk to me himself. ( I didn't mind paying for a different drink at all just the way the situation was dealt with ) We had a party of 6 and 2 of use had to change or orders because they didn't have the ingredients to make what they had on the menu. It was 6:30pm so I don't understand how they ran out of ingredients. If they did why didn't they communicate that to there waiters so he could have told use when placing or order. To make matters worst there was a long blond hair in my brothers food. Later on my dad found another hair in he's food. Not once did the manger come out to apologize about the hairs in the food or anything. Before you say or think that it could have been one of ours hairs, we all have dark brown or black hair. They did have 2 cooks with blond hair and long blonde beards with no nets on their beards. Both hairs were blond in our food. It's a shame that our experience was horrible with the food and manger. We will not be coming back. It's sad because the live music and our waiter was amazing. read more

We are typically big fans of MOM and go often for the burger Tuesday deal. The burger was delicious as always, but we were disappointed in the overall experience this time. We were seated quickly and chose a table in the main dining room. After being seated, it took a while for a server to greet us or take a drink order. We both ordered a water to start and then began the waiting game again. After our orders were put in, we basically became nonexistent to our server. Someone else brought our food and at least 10-15 minutes passed before he came to ask if we needed anything. We never saw him again for the remainder of our meal. We had to flag down another server just to ask for the check and only saw ours again when he picked up our card. On Tuesday nights MoM hosts trivia, which is usually all in good fun and we enjoy it. This particular night, the topic was past presidents. Trivia is played via Kahoot and shared on the tv screens throughout the restaurant. I was both disgusted and disappointed by some of the vulgar team names that were allowed. There was a big waiting period between teams picking names and the game starting, so plenty of time to address it. I won't share the photo of the names, but they were tasteless, and misogynistic. For this to be a more "high end" establishment, hardworking adults coming to enjoy a meal shouldn't have to deal with being off put by silly college students. read more

Sunroom sitting. Family of 6 met for lunch. Salads and burgers were ordered. The fries were ordered as an appetizer. Peach biscuits were ordered. The Cesar salad was ordered with grilled chicken. The chicken could have been a better portion as it was cut in really small bite sizes. The dessert, the peaches could have used more peaches and sauce. read more
