The ambiance was very nice, but the lights kept flickering, otherwise it's a nice, enjoyable environment. The truffle fries were my favorite! Although they are extremely shoestring-cut fries, they were really good. I ordered a ranch to accompany the fries, and the ranch was delicious. I ordered the margarita as well as the sangria; both of those cocktails were very sweet, and although they lacked the taste of alcohol, they were good. The crab rangoon dip was okay. I can't put my finger on it, but it was missing something that would have taken it to the next level, and it would have been really good. It was almost there, though, and the wonton chips were great as well. I was not a fan of the wings. They did not have flavor and seemed a bit off in taste and texture. Next time I think I'll try something different. Lastly, the service was great. The restaurant and restrooms were clean.

Lots of outdoor seating. Live music and a huge screen outside so you can catch a game. Service was pretty quick and they did well to accommodate a large group. They do take reservations. Pricing is reasonable. Lots of drink selections. Would come back and try a burger and a cocktail flight

Love this spot!! If you're looking for fabulous cocktails, yummy food, friendly service, and beautiful vibes.. look no further! Market on Main is one of my go-to spots in Columbia. My whole group was very happy with their food and drinks. Vegan options as well like a delicious soup and veggie burger! We will be back again next year

My family was visiting my sister this weekend in Columbia and she took us here for dinner. Food was incredible, the flavors were great. We started with the crab Rangoon dip (not pictured) and it had a nice sweet Thai chili sauce with crispy wontons. For meals we got the MOM burger, truffle fries, Caesar salad, and steakhouse wedge salad. Everyone loved their meals. We were in the sunroom and even though it was raining the area was very cozy. Definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to try it, it gets very busy!

Service was great and food was really good! I would say the tacos could have been elevated slightly in the overall kick but flavors were still there. The vibes in the place were awesome and they had sports games up on the tv which made a great environment. Overall would definitely go again.

Service was a tad slower than expected but the amount of people our server had was extensive. The grilled cheese had too much cheese for my liking. I would have also liked for it to be paired with something like tomato soup. The grilled cheese on the dinner menu just provides you a grilled cheese, nothing else. My toddler did enjoy it with me. The wings portion was nice. My mother had a side salad. Both not pictured (forgot to get photos). Live music started up just was we were leaving. It seems like a nice brunch spot

Last week was my second time at Market On Main. The first time, we stopped in after exploring the Soda City Market. It was raining so were seated in the sunroom, which had plenty of natural light and fun neon signage that read "Famously Hot". I ordered the M.O.M Burger, which was really good! The burger itself was well prepared and very filling. I also loved the truffle fries it came with! I'm a big fan of skinny fries and the truffle flavor/seasoning was tasty. The second time, my boyfriend and I visited for dinner. We were seated on the patio, which had a lively ambiance. They had a projector screen for the football game and were setting up for some live music. For drinks, I got a Mojito mocktail, which was tasty and refreshing. I wasn't super hungry, so I ended up just getting the Mushroom & Zucchini Special, which was an appetizer. It was simple but tasty, and I loved the goat cheese on top. My boyfriend chose Lemongrass Grilled Chicken. This dish had a bit of spice to it and was delicious in a healthy way. Service was a bit lukewarm, but fast. Overall, Market On Main is consistently good - would return!

Market on Main was a really cool bar experience! I walked in about 30 minutes before they closed, and really only patronized the bar area. Having said that, it was still a great time. The inside bar area was nice and clean, and the bartender was very friendly as well. My favorite aspect of the restaurant was probably the outdoor bar, which allows you to enjoy the outdoors while having a drink. They also seemed to have a nice outdoor lawn setup, which looks like the perfect place to watch a major sporting event, or perhaps several sporting events at one time. All-in-all, Market on Main was really cool, and I'll assuredly be back to experience more of the restaurant in the future!

This restaurant was super cute and perfect for a girls' night out. Our server was missing the entire time, wasn't very helpful, and never checked on our table. We ordered the girl dinner secret menu special, but our server didn't inform us of pricing or anything. While the girl dinner tasted great, it was overpriced. For a salad and truffle fries, I shouldn't be paying +$30. I can happily order truffle fries and a salad separately for cheaper. I understand I am paying for the experience of an oversized martini glass, but I would've appreciated being informed of pricing. The truffle fries are delicious, and they are probably my favorite truffle fries I have ever gotten!! The salad pairs great with the fries, and I love having fries as a crouton!

We had an amazing day. The sun was shining, Gamecock basketball was on, it wasn't too loud, the service was phenomenal and the food was delicious.

It's very unfortunate to have to leave a review like this, But the manger on duty last night 2/2/25 ( TALON ) was rude / unprofessional to say the least. The night started off on a sour note when I was brought out a drink that was off in flavor and the weirdest aftertaste. When I asked if it could be replaced I was told no ( But if I wanted something els I'd still have to pay for both drinks ) That came from the manger TALON, My poor waiter was so uncomfortable and embarrassed about the whole situation. I felt bad for him. I didn't understand why the manger couldn't come talk to me himself. ( I didn't mind paying for a different drink at all just the way the situation was dealt with ) We had a party of 6 and 2 of use had to change or orders because they didn't have the ingredients to make what they had on the menu. It was 6:30pm so I don't understand how they ran out of ingredients. If they did why didn't they communicate that to there waiters so he could have told use when placing or order. To make matters worst there was a long blond hair in my brothers food. Later on my dad found another hair in he's food. Not once did the manger come out to apologize about the hairs in the food or anything. Before you say or think that it could have been one of ours hairs, we all have dark brown or black hair. They did have 2 cooks with blond hair and long blonde beards with no nets on their beards. Both hairs were blond in our food. It's a shame that our experience was horrible with the food and manger. We will not be coming back. It's sad because the live music and our waiter was amazing.

The cocktails were the star of the night - ranging from $11 to $13 - both their classics and house creations were well balanced and worth trying. Table service was provided with attentive wait staff who weren't overbearing. The only miss for the night was the food. While certain items like the fries and the Brussels sprouts were great, other items like the burger and duck tacos didn't hit the mark with a burger that was too dry and overly charred and the tacos which were too gamey and could have used a some more acid. For a drink I'd certainly visit again, but would likely pass on food.

He absolutely raved about his sandwich and said it was the best he ever had. I wouldn't order the lobster mac again but it was presented beautifully. I look forward to going back and trying the mussels. I saw many of those orders coming out and definitely looked so good! Great spot to check out for drinks, desserts, and a bite!

It delivered on smokiness to the point of entertaining me too! My glass of rose was great, a normal choice for me. The gumbo had excellent flavor and the small whole bird on top was such an interesting presentation. The crispy skin had great flavor as did the chicken itself, complemented the creole flavor of the gumbo perfectly. I hate to admit that the tomato broth, dare I say gravy, kind of stole the flavor show. We both loved it. I nearly forgot I had grilled bread to accompany it as I was spooning up mussels and the delightfully flavorful tomato broth. Service was totally on point until the very end, when getting our check was a bit slow. We had a new server respond to our rescue though, and they did discount our check a bit, which was more than we were expecting. The seating arrangement for us ended up being at a communal long dining table, not a private booth. It wasn't our first date, and we loved being in the middle of the room and watching all of the dishes and drinks flow by. The view of the booth tables by the window would also make for a great view when the street is busy with ample people watching. Great experience, would definitely recommend. Take note, they do not take reservations so either come early or allow time to wait.

Bison, elk, boar, rabbit. These are proteins you don't see on most menus. The restaurant leans into a woodland theme with greenery hanging throughout the space. It borders on a bit much, but the open kitchen visible from the dining room grounds the whole experience and adds a nice touch of theater. The seating was comfortable and well spaced, perfect for a family dinner where you actually want to hear each other talk. Our server was outstanding, easily 5 out of 5. She knew the menu cold, offered thoughtful recommendations, and struck that ideal balance of attentive without being intrusive. She made the evening better. The drinks were mostly a win. Two cocktails were excellent, creative and well balanced. A third was over iced and fell flat. Minor miss, but worth noting. The food is where The Hollow really shines. The charcuterie board was a fantastic start, featuring a well curated spread of wild game meats, quality cheeses, fig, and mustard. The mains delivered across the board: salmon, elk, and bison all came out beautifully with great flavor and generous portions. The sides deserved their own applause, which isn't something I say often. The dessert menu was the one soft spot. Nothing grabbed our attention, so we ended up heading across the street to Kaminsky's for something sweet. For a kitchen that puts this much care into everything else, the dessert offerings felt like an afterthought. A couple of notes on the bill to be aware of: we were charged a few dollars for swapping a vegetable side. There was a 3% credit card surcharge that caught us off guard. When you're out with the family and the tab runs into the hundreds $, most folks are paying with a card. That's a fee I'd want to know about upfront. On the menu, from the server, somewhere visible before the check arrives. The bottom line: The Hollow is a creative, well executed restaurant with standout food and excellent service. If you're in Columbia, it's well worth a reservation.
