    Carolina Classic - vegan version
    Curtis J.

I really like this spot. This past week was my second visit and I thankfully missed the lunch rush. There were two nice older men (I knew one of them) sitting at the tables out front having a spirited chat. It was cute. I was greeted as soon as I entered and decided on the Carolina Classic, vegan version, as I wanted to try a coleslaw topping. I had the Reuben Dog last time and it was divine, prompting this return. I decided to get the meal with the drink and a side but kept the simple with just the chips. The classic was just okay. I loved the grilled bun however, but think the onions mainly didn't work for me. My iced tea was tasty too. A mother and her teenager ordered take out while I was there and were anxious to get there order - obvious devotees, and a great sign. I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit.

a skimpy $2 Chili Cheese Dog

nice people but come on man don't be skimpy... only my second time coming but i think it'll have to be the last. may as well have been eating a plain hotdog. literally bottom of the well chili. also please for the love of God DO NOT buy packaged caramelized onions; save yourself some money & dignity. makes zero sense to have raw onions and no caramelized. onions are cheap btw.. have some dedication and chop chop. mid

Price: $8.73 Turkey chili dog with a pickle. This is a new addition to Gervais St, lots of parking in the back. Normally I don't eat any type of hotdogs, but I decided to try the classic turkey dog. It was just OK for me, nothing that I would ever order again. Receipt pic posted. Tip: They where extremely busy, waited 30min for 1 hotdog. Customer service was professional, and facility was clean.

I drove past the front of the store and saw a sign indicating where to park in the back. There is ample parking behind the store, facing açai. Walked around the side and we're greeted by a nice hostess. She was patient and allowed us to look over the menu to figure out what we wanted. My mom, ordered the cowboy grub. I chose rebel style and made my own dog. I selected a classic bun with vegan protein. I added mac & cheese and vegan chili. I ordered a. A naked dog for my toddler. She enjoyed both the bun and the dog. My mom mentioned the cowboy grub dog was tasty and the onions were seasoned well, but maybe there were too many onions on the dog. For her liking. I enjoyed my rebel style dog. The mac & cheese tasted OK. the vegan chili had a little bit of a kick with the chili powder, it was really good and the rest of the food was great. For my side, I got mac & cheese and the other side we received Potato salad. The restroom was super cute and clean. It was stocked with everything that was needed. We'll be back. There are so many combinations of dogs to come up with, I can't wait to try many more.

Backyard BBQ, chips, and a Coke

I absolutely love this place! I rode by it many times and thought about stopping but never did. Well today was that day. I stopped by and was blown away. Impeccable service. Warmly greeted immediately when I walked it. Was given the rundown of the place along with suggestions. I got the Backyard BBQ and a great conversation with one of the owners (the mother). She was really sweet, entertaining, and funny. She had a few jokes about her daughter who finally came out of the kitchen at my request so I could meet her. She was nice and friendly as well. And well what about that dog!? Wow!!! Delicious! I didn't have to add anything extra to it. I devoured it while having a great conversation with the owner and a guest. It happened to be his first time visiting the Rebel. Don't do what I been doing for so long (just riding by). Stop, grab a dog, and be a Rebel.

I really enjoyed the food as well as the service. I loved that the hotdog was all beef and very tasty. I am not a fan of coleslaw however, this was the best coleslaw I've ever had! The ambience was good however I would have enjoyed more lighting. I will definitely be back!

First if you want something quick easy filling and good, go to Rebel Dog. The gourmet dog with side and drink was very good. You have an option of beef, vegan and turkey. We had the Rueben with potato salad and one with sauerkraut and baked beans. The potato salad was freshly made and not store bought. They have seating inside if you would like to stay. A really good spot to enjoy with friends or alone. On Tuesdays they run a special while supplies last.

Bad pic but the "back yard bbq"

Nestled in a set of historic homes on a quiet street (with free street parking!), the restaurant itself is so adorable and creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is so kind and personable, you always feel like you're being fed at your grandma's house when you go in! I truly believe there is not a single dish from them that is nothing short of phenomenal. Today we had their specials consisting of shrimp and grits, chicken skin & hot sauce deviled eggs, along with a cup of the cauliflower parm soup. We also got their hot honey pimento cheese but they have that every day! Everything was amazing of course, and I find it so impressive how the chef & team is able to come up with such unique and delicious dishes every single week. Don't even get me started on their desserts. Everything they bake is delicious, but they've recently revamped their mocha tiramisu creme pie and I'm unhealthily addicted to it. I've had it on 3 separate occasions in the last week and every time I have gone, I have to order more than one! I really really hope they keep that creme pie in the rotation for a while or at least bring it back soon once it's done, because I don't think I'll be able to recover otherwise.

I was not too impressed with my trip to DiPratos, which was disappointing because it had been…read morerecommended to me by several different people, and I was excited to try it out. I came in a few minutes after 10:00 a.m., the time they open, and while I don't expect a restaurant to be in tip-top shape the second they open, they did not seem at all ready for the day or to accept customers. I stood at the front for a few awkward moments before asking one of the hostesses if I was supposed to seat myself, when she replied "oh no, I'll seat you", and then led me to one of the nearby tables. Somewhat grossly, the tablecloth on the table I was seated at was covered with coffee stains from previous guests, which was kind of unsettling. I then asked for a cup of coffee, and was told that there wasn't any ready, and that I would need to wait a few minutes. Again, not a huge deal, but I would expect a breakfast restaurant to have some coffee ready by the time that they open. Second, when perusing the menu, I was not particularly impressed by their "limited breakfast" options, nor anything on their regular menu. I decided to go with a simple hot dog, and substituted the offered sides with an order of French fries, which ridiculously cost me almost $4 extra. In addition, my hot dog was fine, but nothing exceptional, and definitely not better than one I could've gotten at Costco for a markedly cheaper price. The one (1) bright spot was that the fries were very good, and of higher quality than most other fries I've gotten at similar restaurants. Finally, my server was nice enough, but a little rough around the edges and not overly attentive. In addition, the ambiance was pretty basic, with nothing about it that really stuck out. All-in-all, I wouldn't be adverse to returning to DiPratos on a Saturday or Sunday to try their breakfast menu, but I won't be coming back during the week, and wouldn't really recommend that anybody else do so either.

I've only tasted their pimento cheese at the festival and the original is phenomenal! I'd purchase…read moreagain. Friendly staff! I'd definitely check out their restaurant/deli soon!
