We hosted a bridal shower in one of the private gazebos, and it was the perfect venue! We were able to decorate the space, and the ceiling fan, power outlets for extra fans, and TV for playing music made it comfortable and fun, even in the summer heat. The food was excellent, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was. Jackson was a super friendly, helpful, and attentive waiter. We enjoyed our meals tremendously. We tried the Texas Twinkies which were tasty and definitely spicy! Since we were there on Tuesday, we had to get the Burger special-big, delicious burgers! The fries and onion rings were really good too. We tried this place last year when we were here and feel that the food is much better now. It's also great that the tables are spaced out so you don't feel crowded and the decor is nice. read more

They lost our reservation and tried to seat our friends who got there first at a table with strangers. The environment was very loud so it was hard to have a conversation. The food was decent but not worth the price. The AC was behind or not on because it was hot in there! Our server was a very sweet lady who did the best she could. Service was top notch. Yes, we had a great server, two actually. One ran on human food, and the other on those amazing little dancing electrons. --the server bot. We co all thought the food was average. I had a 1/4 rack of ribs and smoked sausage. The ribs were okay, but I prefer ribs "fall off the bone tender." The sausage was tasteless, and a bit greasy. I would suggest going with a higher quality meat. The sides-- Mac n cheese--baked beans were good, as I recall. My wife had pulled pork, which was above average. We all liked the restaurant's ambience--both inside and out. The newly constructed restaurant is situated in a lovely country setting, and boasts a large parking lot, rear stage and seating area with a nice view of a small lake. 518 is definitely worth a visit. read more

Was so excited to try. Then the food arrived that feeling left fast. Ordered the smoked chicken with collard greens, hash and rice. Chicken tasteless no smoked flavor at all. Very dry, under seasoned and over cooked then reheated. Hash was very thick paste and way too spicy. Collard greens wow not a good flavor and super spicy. Everything just burns your mouth spicy but with no flavor. On the up side the Seafood Platter was wonderful. Fried and seasoned perfectly. Very disappointed I didn't choose the Seafood Platter but in my defense (to myself) this is a Smokehouse I didn't think I could go wrong with what they specialize in. Service was average had to ask for drinks to be refill. Didn't remove any dishes from table even though a couple of us had finished. Had to ask twice for to go containers. There were only two other tables so not busy. It was a big empty cold building. Nice outside deck next to pond. Huge bar. Need new chef not worth the drive just for the food. read more

The service was excellent and so was the food. It was a nice atmosphere and I can see this being the go to spot for Saturday football games! This has become a regular spot for the hubs and I. I LOVE their cocktail selection and the variety of tap beer they have. There has been a few changes to the menu since they opened and all have been for the better! (Shrimp & Grits for brunch is a MUST!) A wonderful place to belly up to the bar inside or out on the patio. We don't have kids, so we always sit at the bar. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about cocktails and make great recommendations! (Not gonna lie, Claria and Ivy are our favorites :) Good food, good prices and GREAT service! read more

We ordered pulled pork sandwiches. There was no smokey flavor at all and very little seasoning. The tomato based sauce tasted like a generic sauce from a from a restaurant supply house. Nothing special to report. I've easily made superior pulled pork at home in a slow cooker on my counter top. Save your money and dine somewhere else. read more

Been wanting to go here for a while now, we were able to sit outside, which was nice, however, there were a lot of children just wandering all over the place, which was not great. Having a time when the bar and patio are only for adults would be a great idea. There was a great vibe with the live music and the lights. The food sounded great; however, with my allergies, I was not able to eat a lot. I thought for sure I would be able to get a potato, but nothing on the menu for that. I did have the brisket, my piece was mostly fat, so that was not great. My dad got the brisket, and his was amazing. Ambiance is excellent. Good attentive service and the delivery robot is very cute. Large menu with lots of offering. Huge parking lot and extra gazebo spaces available for parties/rent/large groups. Lovely pond to look at over dinner. Really diverse seating all around the restaurant. We went twice..once with a large group of friends and once with just us as a couple. Both times were good but I can save you some heartache on the food choices. To order: the japaleno poppers are the yummiest starter we had. The brisket and shredded pork were good. I had the wine flight and it was fun! The mac and cheese and the baked beans sides were very yummy. To skip: the cornbread starter(tiny and not that great, nothing like expected) , skip the burnt ends-they were horrible. I couldn't eat any of them, more than 1/2 of each piece was fat, dry with no sauce. Avoid at all costs. The banana pudding dessert- just let grandma make it the right way and skip this sadness--it was a so up like consistency. The collards have no bacon in them and just were not what I was expecting when I ordered them. This is a southern spot- I was expecting southern foods. Lol. The portion sizes are large. I had to take a box every time. I think the location and the ambiance is well worth the trip. Just pick the right menu items to have a better time! Come check these guys out! read more

They say the third time's a charm. Well in this case the third time is the nail in the coffin for this disgusting disgrace of a restaurant. Tried it when it first opened...not good but chalked it up to being new and they need to work the kinks out. Tried it a second time some months later, same result of greasy, salty food that was inedible. Server was very nice but said the manager was too busy to even talk to us about why we barely touched our food. Both times paid 100% in full. Today ordered again this time take out as it had been a long time and maybe just maybe they have improved. This was the worst by far. Burnt food, undercooked food, cold food, and it was all so bad that it should not be served to starving stray animals much less humans. $150 I spent to feed my family and the quesadilla was the only thing of the 5 that was barely edible. Mind you we had to cook it longer so it wasn't stone cold in the center anymore. And before you say" well it 's take out and you can't expect it to be as hot as it would directly from the kitchen to your table". I live less than a 10 minute drive away and the food should not feel like it just came out of the refrigerator. 518 is an embarrassment but they won't care. Enough people flock to this place that they couldn't care less if they loose my business. Stay away from this disgraceful repugnant fake BBQ business. I took a picture of what they call meatloaf and have the audacity to charge you $28 dollars for. The rest of the meal I didn't even bother but if you want to see it, it's in the trash, I just hope raccoons don't get into it and get sick. read more

We ate here for Valentine's and let me tell you everything from the service, ambiance and food were amazing. Our server Mikey was always five steps ahead with everything. The ribs fell off the bone and didn't need anything on them!! The collards were better than my own which is saying something. Mikey recommend everything and it was all five stars. As a born and bread southerner this place serves spot on southern sides. You must get the honey buttered cornbread muffins as well!!! You have a loyal customer!! I can not say enough great things. Four of us ( wife and 2 friends) tried this place recently. First of all, I have to say the service and staff were fantastic. To me that's rare these days. I rated the ribs, slightly overcooked and a little too smokey for my taste. Also had the pulled pork and it was very tasty. I tried 3 sauces and liked the Gold the best. I was little disappointed in the Serrano Vinegar Sauce which I expected to be my favorite. We were slightly disappointed in the Onion Rings but the Ranch Sauce made up for it. I had the much discussed Mac & Cheese and it did not disappoint. I had Collards and they were pretty good. I have to say that this is one of 2 restaurants we go to that bring a device when you pay. I found this place on accident driving the back roads avoiding the interstate. Outstanding food and service. The atmosphere is upscale but it's casual dining. The pulled pork, onion rings , nachos and ribs are on point. Come hungry, the portion sizes are large. Great place for a date night or taking the family out for dinner.
