They only serve their famous buffet on Sundays, but trust me...it's worth the wait. Load up your plate with favorites like crispy fried chicken, tender pork chops, and BBQ, but don't skip the fresh salad bar with their housemade dressings. Then make room for the sides because the sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, and lima beans are absolute must-haves. And whatever you do, save room for dessert! From strawberry shortcake and banana pudding to my personal favorite--the chocolate chip fluff--you really can't go wrong. She may not be fancy, but sometimes that's exactly the point. But the service is always prompt and you feel like you're eating a plate in your grandmas kitchen. The restaurant is comforting, delicious, and one of our favorite spots when we're craving a true Southern home-cooked meal.

However, I got the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and lima beans and was not impressed. They did not have white gravy which every other place I have ordered country fried steak offers. The server said white gravy is only available at breakfast. The steak itself was almost perfectly round. Ut tasted bland. The potatoes tasted like they were out of a box. Th lima beans were not much better. Given all I had read about tis place on Facebook and now the reviews I see on here, I was really surprised. It wasn't that great. I'm willing to give it on more try, maybe at breakfast next time.

I was referred to SW via my brother's daughter's wedding experience with them which was exceptional. The consulting was valuable, helpful and made decisions easy. Our unique and specific requests were delivered above expectations. The service before, during and after was superior. Now the food. Being father of the bride, my wife and I were quite busy all evening and had little time to eat. Every other conversation we had with our guests started with a raving and positive compliment regarding the food. The presentation was perfect, the delivery to our guests was on point. If you're wondering, did we ever eat? The team that worked our event knew what it was like to be the host. Every time I turned around the manager was there to provide food and drink for my wife and me. They made sure to have food ready for the bride and groom. And made sure they ate before the party. Bartending was excellent. Courteous, professional and fast. Bottom line is this. SW delivered as promised and exceeded expectations in EVERY category. It is with pleasure and from personal experience that I recommend them.

My only qualm was that upon getting home, we noticed they boxed up our sides (including about 8 pieces of fried okra) but didn't box up our entrees like we had requested. Definitely disappointed with this, as the filet specials and shrimp and grits aren't cheap and all had at least half the portion remaining. Other than that disappointment, it was lovely.
