The fries are amazing and they give you a good amount. The burgers are ok but not worth the price. For a meal and a shake you can easily spend over $30. Lucky for me, Five Guys opened a 3rd location (this year) at the Pearlridge Shopping Center..............as on Oahu, there already is a Kapolei, & Mililani location. For me, the Pearlridge Five Guys location is the closest in proximity from my house...........but since I live in town, getting out to Pearlridge on a Friday night is still a trek for me. What can I say about the new Five Guys Burger in Pearlridge? The restaurant is well lit, and very clean looking.........lots of free parking within the Pearlridge Shopping Center, but parking can be challenging at times depending on when you go to the mall. Five Guys offers a pretty simple menu of - Burgers, Hotdogs, Sandwiches, Fries, & Shakes. They also offer the free "roasted peanuts" here............I remembered when I was in Virginia, the peanut thing was pretty cool and different. Only difference was the restaurant I went to in Virginia had peanut shells all over the floor, as they allowed customers to just throw the peanut shells on the floor after eating their peanuts. Upon walking into the restaurant, we were greeted right away by the clerk at the ordering counter. After looking over the menu, my friend ordered a Cheeseburger ($10.39) with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, mayo, tomatoes, lettuce, & ketchup. As for me, I got a Veggie Cheese Sandwich ($5.99) which had green peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms. I also ordered one "Little Cajun Fry" ($4.19). And to wash down our meals, we both got regular sodas ($3.29 each). What can I say about our burgers? OUTSTANDING! I stopped eating red meat about 2 years ago, so the Veggie Cheese Sandwich was my only option here, but I must tell you that Veggie Cheese sandwich was deeeeeeeeeeelicious!!!! It was loaded with veggies, and I loved the way they sauteed the onions & mushrooms! My friend also enjoyed the cheeseburger as it was loaded with meat & veggies! As for the fries???? Oh my gawd!!! "Little Cajun Fry" is actually not so little at all! Did you see the serving size of my fries???? There was enough fries for 3 people! I told my friend to help me eat it, as the serving size was huge!!! Overall a wonderful burger experience! This restaurant gave me food poisoning!! Do not eat here. Husband got the hotdog, small fries, and a milk shake; I got a little cheeseburger, small fries, and a milk shake.... Total was $40+. Price was ridiculous. Hotdog was actually good, the milkshakes were decent, and the fries were okay. My burger was decent, and we finished all our food. I did not anything else for the rest of the night as it was a late lunch early dinner thing. Husband and I went straight home and knocked out because we were out all day, and then around 1000 I got the worst cramping sensation. I would compare it to a bad period cramp. I thought I was pms-Ing since it was close to that time, but then I had diarrhea and my stomach would not stop making noise. The cramps were so bad that it woke up up out of sleep. Ordered take out online so food was really really quickly. The burger sizes are pretty good because I ordered a little cheeseburger and was good after that. The burgers are about a 2-3 stars they are very blah in flavor. I like that you can choose your unlimited toppings. Even though they didn't put the BBQ on one of the burgers we had. Oh well. The fries are good and fresh. The shake though, BOMB. I love (once again) how they don't charge extra for toppings or add ins and the peanut butter, stuffed creme, oreo cookies, and vanilla is a WIN WIN. definitely 6 stars for that. This is our first time trying five guys. It is pretty damn pricey... for just a small cheeseburger and small fries, it was $13+. The fries were good, fresh, crisp and not overly salted. The burger was just okay.. the patty is kinda thin, the bun was soft and didn't seem toasted much if at all, the topping assortment was included in the price but still felt kinda too expensive for what you get. Probably won't need to come back mainly because of the price. I know other burgers on island run pretty pricey too but the portion is a lot bigger. I pre-ordered my food online and still waited an hour past the estimated pick up time. What's the point of putting the estimated time for order pick up if this is the result. It turn out that even though the cashier stated the name of the order(correctly) to the staff to grab, they forgot to give it to us and the food is cold. Well after a long time I finally decided to try this Pearlridge Joint as I've heard how good it was. Skipping to the burger it was probably 4 or 5 star as far as burgers go. However the young lady taking my order was the rudest person I've had in a long time.....probably forever. The place had zero customers and "Ashley" was so put off that I came in and asked a question about the menu and barked back my options to me as If I was interrupting her having labor. Burgers and Dogs are fresh! There are lots of topping and condiment choices. The french fries are always made to order served hot from fresh cut potatoes. It is a fun place to bring the kids. While you are waiting for food they offer free peanuts in the shells. If you are allergic to peanuts this is NOT the place for you. They are everywhere. It's Five Guys. I'm not going to go I to the detail that everyone else does but I do want to point this out: THEY ONLY COOK THE MEAT WELL DONE. This is the only Five Guys that I've been to that does this. There's a sign up that says it. Odd that the wall decor is painted with quotes like "burgers made to order" but they can only cook ot one way. That's a deal breaker to me. The employee at the register said that they don't have the training to know how to grill consistently so they just default all their patties to well done. We had 4 of us coming from the beach and hungry so we decided on Pieology at Pearlridge for a quick dinner. Once we arrived, two of my friends saw Five Guys and changed their mind on what they wanted. It was burgers instead. Pieology was packed with customers and next door at Five Guys there was 1 small family, so basically empty during dinnertime on a weekend. That should have been our first red flag. We ordered 4 burgers, 2 medium fries, 3 shakes and a water which came out to $94.00. The burgers were good but the $6.99 fries in a solo cup didn't quite seem like a good value. I'm wondering what the small was like. Almost a hundred bucks for what we got seemed wrong. My main issue was with the staff. The cashier ignored my questions, as if he didn't hear me, which was actually possible since the music was blasting above my comfort level. We sat down at a table that was filthy and noticed every other table was dirty as well. Napkins nowhere in sight and they seem to keep them out of reach and by request only. Weird. Their self service ice machine had spilled cubes all over the floor with nobody bothering to clean anything up. The staff here simply did not care. They decided it was more important to watch YouTube on their iPhone or whatever game they were watching instead of wiping tables, sweeping floors or cleaning up the ice mess. I went to the location in Kapolei a few months back and I remember just thinking that the burger was average and the place was over hyped. Woke up this afternoon craving a good ass cheeseburger. The online ordering was easy and I actually preferred it because I could see all the options of how to customize my burger and it tasted exactly how I wanted it to. Get extra cheese !!! The cheese was melted perfectly into the meat and the bun was soft and smashed just how I like it. I usually don't order fries anywhere cuz I hate frozen fries but I tried the fries here and they were delicious. Thick cut & fresh tasting, frying in peanut oil is a nice touch. Workers were very nice. My only complaint is I went to pick up the food about 20 minutes after I ordered online and it still wasn't ready for about another ten minutes, so it kind of defeated the purpose of ordering ahead to avoid waiting. It didn't seem busy inside, but maybe I missed the rush. Two burgers and a small fries $26.
