Found out about this spot a while ago through a friend and decided to pop in one day when I was near the area and see what it was about. I was very pleased with what I discovered, They offer a huge selection of fish to choose from and the food is amazing. The fried fish is always super crispy and flavorful just how I like it and the prices are also very reasonable. If I could give negative stars..I definitely would b/c this place is on a different level!! This was our 3rd time here & each time we kept saying we're never coming back, but this last time was our last straw. First off, it was barely the middle of the day (around 1pm) & they were already out of food...ok understandable, we'll order a substitute. 2nd, while we're waiting for our food, the cook comes out & tells me he's out of the substitute & it will be awhile before the next batch will be ready & would we like something else? It wasn't my order, so I had to call my husband to see what he wanted & once he told me I walked back towards the kitchen & I was immediately yelled at by apparently the owner. She's telling me, "get away from my kitchen!" Looking puzzled, I told her I was only going to tell the cook what the other substitute was going to be. She said, "DoorDash orders have to wait over there!" She pointed by the soda fountain. Again looking puzzled, I look to see if someone was behind me cause I was sure she wasn't telling me that. To which I responded, "I'm not here for a DoorDash order. I already placed my order & the cook came out to tell me you were out of that food & it would be awhile until it was ready. Since it was my husbands' order, I needed to check w/ him to see what he wanted as a substitute. All I was doing was letting him know the substitute." She proceeds to yell at the cook & says, "I just made that, how are we already out?!" He replies, "I had to make more." She just says, "oh." Oh?! Oh is all you have to say..no apologies, no nothing! I liked the green salad. As for the fish and shrimp, I was disappointed. I like the yellow corn meal and flour type fried fish that's crispy on the outside with moist fish in the inside. You know the kind you fill your belly with at a Friday night fish fry. Fish Bone seems different with almost an oven fried type texture on the outside and dry fish inside .Not sure if it had been sitting around for awhile or cooked fresh. Friendly customer service when I called. Seasoning was too salty for my taste but others may like it that way. I also purchased two pies - I ordered a pecan and a sweet potato pie but was delivered two sweet potato pies, collards, and red beans and rice which were on point. First time customer to this place. Just happened to see this place on my way home and I was excited to have a Southern Fish restaurant near me. I tried this place twice before writing this review. First visit: I ordered the Fried Cajun Catfish Dinner. VERY DISAPPOINTED because when I got home and opened my container, it contained 3 little pieces of catfish! About a mile down the street, a comparable restaurant, Louisiana Seafood gives you 7 pieces of catfish for about the same price. The pieces of fish were very good, but the sides of greens and red beans and rice were average at best. So for $13 this was not worth it at all. I also purchased a peach cobbler. Mildy disappointed because it had CUBED peaches in it. However they do not make their own cobbler, it comes from somewhere else. 2nd visit: I figure I would try something else and see if I could get better bec I really want this place to work for me. I ordered the Fish and Shrimp combo for $16. You get the same 3 pieces of fish (I had the catfish again) and 4 pieces of shrimp. Flavor is very good. However, I ordered the greens and fries for my side, along with the cobbler again (I was hoping the cobbler might be a little better). When I got home and opened everything up, I was given a salad, fries, a dinner roll and garlic bread and NO COLLARD GREENS Overall, not worth price. So DISAPPOINTED AGAIN! The cobbler, by the way, had actual sliced peaches in it this time, but I'm done with it bec it's too mushy. They don't refrigerate the cobbler and it sits out at room temperature. Dang! I was really hoping this would be a great place to get my catfish from. But after 2 disappointments, I will have to try and find another spot. 2 stars for excellent flavor with the fish. I live close by and shop the area frequently. I've passed this place many times and finally stopped in for the first time on Friday 6/01/22. I ordered the catfish dinner with fries and macaroni salad and by me being a Louisiana native, everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The staff was friendly and made sure everything at my table was good. Before leaving, I ordered more food to bring home to my family for dinner. The banana pudding was also on point. Sooo the food is not bad. I got the salmon lunch plate. It was lightly seasoned but had a good flavor. I got it with veggies which turned out to just be some grilled bell peppers. The portions were extremely small for the price. That alone came out to $14 and was not filling whatsoever. Luckily I got a side of red beans and rice. But after $21 later I went back to work still hungry unfortunately. The worst part was the customer service. No matter how much I smiled and thanked her, I could not get a smile or even eye contact from the cashier at the front. It seemed like it hurt her to say "you're welcome."
