We decided to try this fried fish restaurant because our regular fried fish market was closed. The first drawback was not being able to order my specific fish preference on the website. I had to choose 2 options for fish but only wanted one type so I decided to call in for a pickup order. I called the number provided and the business answered. I asked to place an order for pickup and they agreed but mentioned that I would have to pay over the phone for pickup orders (my second drawback but not a big deal). I didnt want to pay over the phone so I informed them that I would pay when I ordered at the restaurant. After placing our order inside, it took a while to get our food, I would say 20mins but there weren't any other customers in the restaurant. Other people came in while we were waiting but probably just to pick up. As for the food, we ordered the 8pc fish with 10 fried shrimp. The seasoning was good, however the fish was soooo thin it was like we were eating just the batter. The flavor was there though for the thicker parts of fish. I've been to the Fishbone on Willow and Long Beach Blvd 3 times and it is BOMB. I always try different menu items and EVERYTHING has been consistently delicious. First time at #fishbone I like this place it's clean and close to my house. The fish is nicely displayed there's not a fishy smell when you walk in. The staff was nice and very attentive to what I ordered. The red snapper was fried just right, great french fries to go along with my red snapper I opted for the lunch plate. Fish was delicious, just ask for crispy if you like your fried Fish with a little more crunch. The owner was friendly and helpful. They're still working out opening kinks, pricing, accurate menu descriptions, etc. The owner acknowledged the price discrepancy in the printed menu and said they are honoring it however, they are updating /correcting everything. I haven't tried the food I've tried 3 times 2 of the times 45 mins before closing they told me they are closed and today it says it's open today on til 6 pm. Went to the place it wasn't open at all... apparently it isn't open Monday. Please get it together. The fish place on Atlantic and Burnett is opening back up. Walked in and the ambiance was amazing they had classic music videos playing and the smell of creole soul food reminds me of my Grandmas house. He told me 10-15 mins it would be ready and I must say it came in less than 12 mins honestly. But it's was hot and fresh. Once I got home I tried everything and nothing disappointed at all. We have ordered from here 5-6 times in the month of September alone and just ordered today again. My family and I enjoy the lbs of red snapper and Sole we order. The only thing I am not happy with and this happened each time with every order, I pay for extra tartar sauce and don't get at least one. We get enough hot sauce but not one tartar sauce?! And for that I cannot give 4 or 5 stars regardless of the quality of food. Customer service matters just as much as the food being tasty.
