This place is a fabulously establishment to get your seafood desires met! It's the 3rd time I've eaten here just to see if things may have changed well they have continued to go beyond my expectations from the order taker, the freshness of the seafood and don't even get me started on the sides and desserts yumm this is a must try you will not regret it. read more

2 and half fish and 3 pcs of oyster 2 sides. Im very dissapointed its very very salty. For $20 its not even worth the price. Garlic bread is very stale. I do not know if the owner shouted at us it because my daughter was walking around the bench. So rude we will never come back over here. read more

We decided to try this fried fish restaurant because our regular fried fish market was closed. The first drawback was not being able to order my specific fish preference on the website. I had to choose 2 options for fish but only wanted one type so I decided to call in for a pickup order. I called the number provided and the business answered. I asked to place an order for pickup and they agreed but mentioned that I would have to pay over the phone for pickup orders (my second drawback but not a big deal). I didnt want to pay over the phone so I informed them that I would pay when I ordered at the restaurant. After placing our order inside, it took a while to get our food, I would say 20mins but there weren't any other customers in the restaurant. Other people came in while we were waiting but probably just to pick up. As for the food, we ordered the 8pc fish with 10 fried shrimp. The seasoning was good, however the fish was soooo thin it was like we were eating just the batter. The flavor was there though for the thicker parts of fish. I did appreciate that the shrimp was butterflied then fried (a nice touch). We got what we wanted but it was just a little inconvenient and the fish portion wasn't as good as we hoped read more

I've been to the Fishbone on Willow and Long Beach Blvd 3 times and it is BOMB. I always try different menu items and EVERYTHING has been consistently delicious. Everything has the perfect blend of seasoning and texture. The customer service is excellent. I appreciate this place being in my neighborhood. I've tried other " you buy, we fry" types of restaurants and this is by far my favorite. Highly recommend. Hats off to the Chef!! Don't sleep on Fishbone. You need this in your life. They also have grilled items. Support this business you'll be glad you did. It's delicious... (Didi and Marge) read more

I'm disappointed. I've had fish from a different Fishbone. This Willow branch was inferior in fish texture (cornmeal exterior), flavor, and portion size (smaller pieces). You won't understand until you've actually had better fish, and I've had better. This seems generic. I'm sincerely disappointed. The hush puppies were good because they weren't oily. I have no desire to have a second experience, and I can't recommend. read more

Food is great! However just a little FYI, be sure to ask for any/all your condiments and utensils because this place just packs it up and send you on your merry way. So don't drive off without asking first or you'll be eating dry fish & fries and red beans & rice with........ Not a napkin in sight! Don't bother digging in the bag. read more

I called and made ONE simple request , after 13 calls and no answer. It seems like folks would just have the COMMON sense to close your bag so nobody can do anything to your food. Especially if you own a restaurant. Apparently common sense is NOT so common and calling them directly makes no difference because once they have your money they REALLY don't give af!!A baby could go in this bag so I am officially done. And get people on the phone with phone etiquette and no attitude unless that's just how you run your business and the employees are a reflection of that! And how is one fish dinner warm and the other cold as hell? Oh... I know. read more

Great customer service thank you Erma (cashier) and Dwayne (cook) you guys are amazing.

I understand the lady at the counter was pleasant and welcomed with a smile. The fried proteins were flavorful. The tarter and hot sauce tasty. The French fries were soggy and not so fresh in taste. The rolls were dry & hard. A few of our mussles suspicious in texture and appearance. The greens were more spine than leaf and the portion sizes for the money questionable especially the JUMBO shrimp. Respectfully. read more

Let's start with the food. I ordered a oyster and catfish plate with collard greens and hush puppies. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned! Even the collards were good and I don't always find that to be true at other places. My wait was short and service was great. I was greeted and told my order would be ready shortly. He also made sure I had all the condiments before I left. I'll definitely be going back. read more

First time at #fishbone I like this place it's clean and close to my house. The fish is nicely displayed there's not a fishy smell when you walk in. The staff was nice and very attentive to what I ordered. The red snapper was fried just right, great french fries to go along with my red snapper I opted for the lunch plate. I also ordered the grilled salmon lunch plate with a side green salad for my daughter she really enjoyed it. If you're in a hurry I recommend ordering online it takes 20-25 to prepare I cooked fresh. I will definitely return very soon... read more

I had high hopes. Ordered the fillet of sole dinner plate. Immediately noticed the fish was fried really hard. Secondly the sole was filleted so thinly that I could really only taste the breading. I have never in all my years not enjoyed a Fillet of Sole meal. Sole has such a unique flavor that it can really be breaded in anything for a descent experience. This was the exception. I gave 2 stars simply for the cashier's warm smile and friendly demeanor. But I will not be returning. read more

Fish was delicious, just ask for crispy if you like your fried Fish with a little more crunch. The owner was friendly and helpful. They're still working out opening kinks, pricing, accurate menu descriptions, etc. The owner acknowledged the price discrepancy in the printed menu and said they are honoring it however, they are updating /correcting everything. I'm looking forward to trying the mac&cheese, homemade peach cobbler and banana pudding. Soft opening of to a good start..check this place out. read more

Order two plates: first order was grilled fish and oysters with fries & black beans for my two sides Second order was cat fish, shrimp, and oysters with fries & black beans for my sides as well. I haven't tried the food I've tried 3 times 2 of the times 45 mins before closing they told me they are closed and today it says it's open today on til 6 pm. Just moved down to here and was really searching for some good soul food. I've tried a few places around the area but none compare to this place. Walked in and the ambiance was amazing they had classic music videos playing and the smell of creole soul food reminds me of my Grandmas house. I forgot the gentlemen's name in the front who suggest the combo since I told him I've never ate, and he wasn't wrong at all. He told me 10-15 mins it would be ready and I must say it came in less than 12 mins honestly. But it's was hot and fresh. Once I got home I tried everything and nothing disappointed at all. It was worth every dollar the Collard greens was season great. The shrimp was great as well as the oysters. But I must say the Red snapper and Catfish was the star of the show. Seasoned and fried to perfection Praises to the chef. I will be back here very soon look forward to trying the Grilled options next time. This is a black owned business and the service is amazing. Feels good to find a local resteraunt that serves fast and efficiently seasoned cuisine with great service all around. read more

I've came here many times to get some fried fish. The food is good just don't call and order yours over the phone. Long phone wait

We have ordered from here 5-6 times in the month of September alone and just ordered today again. My family and I enjoy the lbs of red snapper and Sole we order. The only thing I am not happy with and this happened each time with every order, I pay for extra tartar sauce and don't get at least one. We get enough hot sauce but not one tartar sauce?! And for that I cannot give 4 or 5 stars regardless of the quality of food. Customer service matters just as much as the food being tasty. Please do better especially if you're charging for tartar sauce. read more

I was really hopeful of this place as the place I usually go is a bit of a drive. Unfortunately, IMHO The food was over-priced, over-salted and over-cooked. The fish was like eating fried fish jerky The only positive I had was that the cashier was really nice and helpful even though she was very new. Sorry to say I would not repeat. read more

I've had experienced two orders being canceled this week through Uber Eats stating that my order could not be completed. The message went on to say thay my electronic payment will be refunded. While I find the fish to be quite good, I'm taken aback for the establishment having to cancel two orders within the last 7 days. My first order was initiated on May 18th and the second order occurred on May 21st. I'm thinking twice about patronizing this business in the near future. read more

If I could give a NEGATIVE ZERO I would.
