If I could give this place zero stars, I would . I've had three experiences coming here. Two times I've noticed 15-20 minutes before closing, they were either already closed, or had customers walk to their front door and turned off the "open" sign at their face. The foods is literally so bland you have to season it yourself if you want to enjoy it . And they're just really over priced . Idk who keeps giving them business, but this place is disappointing. read more

Never had a bad visit until tonight, gave me the wrong fish and want to say it was the correct nawww.... I was offered to bring it back , no thank you I live 15m away .... Disappointed for sure seeing what I payed for it , I've been here plenty times and I order the same fish now tonight it's a different tastes and texture, that's wrong if you didn't have my fish then say that ..... guess this my last visit , I just hate I told my coworkers to come here because if they pull a stunt on me what else will you do to someone else..... please do better ....signed Disappointed read more

I was very excited to support this new Black owned business in my neighborhood. I ordered the Catfish dinner to go which came with two sides. I got home and upon opening the bag I thought they mistakenly game me someone's lunch order. The pieces of fish were small and had been cut into strips and you only got 3 strips with the dinner. I called back to the restaurant and they verified that they do cut them into strips. If you are coming here to satisfy your hunger you will need to order two dinners as the portion size is that of a child's plate. I would have gladly paid more money for a larger portion had I known this before I left. I'm glad that I could support this establishment but I will not be returning. Good luck to you. read more

Fish Bone - Catfish Dinner - Seafood Near Me - Long Beach, California

Gotta go back!! their food is beyond great it's a husband and wife black-owned I look forward to continuing to support them, the prices are moderate you get a lot of food for what you pay, the service is friendly and attentive I highly recommend this place, and you'll be glad you went. read more

Food was great also the customer service was fire! Recommended to anyone that lives in long beach.

This will be my first and last time ordering from them. information that is posted on the internet is incorrect. We place an online order at 11am because it says they open at 11am. My co worker went to pick up the order at 11:45 and there was a sign on the door saying back at noon (WTF). Finally opened at noon got in and was told the order did not cross (good thing we had a print out with our order#). They start working on our order based on the order# that was given (which they said did not cross ... again W..) It is now 12:50pm I get off at 1:30pm and my co-worker just arrived with our food. This was very bad service for a shop that is fairly new in this area. THIS IS FOR THE WILLOW BRANCH IN LONG BEACH... and I will let my fellow Hospital workers know. read more

Hey William S go ahead and shut it down now and see if you can get your money back on this establishment. The prices are way to high for what you get. As I can see in the other reviews you lean on the excuse that it's a franchise and that's why you give the portions you do. Unfortunately that will be the death of your business. You can't expect people to pay good money for these toddler portions you are handing out. The seasoning of the food is not consistent and the customer service is mediocre at best. This place is nothing to call home to mama about. read more

Food was spot on. I was craving catfish and was not disappointed. Customer service was great. I will be back with friends for sure. This location off of willow is the one you want. If you don't believe me try it! read more

I tried to like it. I couldn't. The fish and shrimp combo was too expensive for catfish strips that were dry and over cooked. The shrimp was also over cooked causing them to chew like heavily black peppered bubble gum, the fries seemed old, twice fried, dried out and had a terrible burnt taste. We ordered for take out. Took too long, and by the time we got home the condensation/steam in the box had made the crust lose all crunchiness. All this for the low, low price of $16 bucks. I just couldn't finish it. Maybe it was an off night, maybe I'm too picky. ? All I know is I don't think I'll be back. Gas is too expensive to take the chance. read more

I come here with my husband to get his grandma some food which she absolutely Loves! She always gets the catfish with greens and is never disappointed when she gets it. The customer service is great! The place is clean! We will definitely keep on coming back. read more

If your craving good southern food I would recommend this spot. The fry cook does a good job and the food comes out crispy and juicy. For the side orders I usually order potato salad and collard greens. A refreshing drink and good Cajun dip does wonders to satiate any hangry customers appetite. read more

My first visit was Great. The food is good and I will definitely go back. Professional, clean, and nice place to sit and eat if you like.

Ordered from Postmates they charged me a extra $5 for no reason. I didn't request anything additional. I tried to call and was left on hold 10 mins and then basically they turned their phones off. So sad this is my first experience. Then on top of that they ran out of Filet Sole read more

Me and my husband decided to try this restaurant since it's close to our neighborhood. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. They walked us through the menu and gave us recommendations. Food was AMAZING. My husband is a hard critic when it comes to seafood but it was such good flavor we both got the Cajun fish dinner with sides that overall great restaurant must try!! read more

When it comes to Southern Food, I am very picky. This place is hands down as southern yummy. I had The Fish (catfish), Fried Oysters, and Fried Shrimp with 2 sides, I got red beans and rice, and greens. The greens and red beans and rice had amazing flavors and cooked perfectly. The Fish, Oysters, and Shrimp also cooked perfect. I'm super picky on my catfish and this catfish had so much flavor and moist, was not dry at all. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!! The place was very clean, and the hospitality was great and friendly. My son had the hush puppies with his meal, and those were also really good. My husband had the Shrimp po'boy, which he really liked. I've been to many Southern Cajun places, and I have to say that this place has the touch on their food. My combo meal was more than enough food, so much that I could not try desert, but the sweet potato pie will be in my next order without a doubt. The sauces they offer were hot sauce, tarter sauce and Cajun tarter. Both tarter sauces were really good and not tangy or sour like some other tarter sauces. Everything was cooked to order and very fresh. I wish I had taken pictures, but it looked all so good, I jumped right in and started eating. I have found my new southern place for sure! read more

Friendly folks and fantastic fish. That's a quadruple F, but don't think of this in primary school terms here folks. These f's FUCK, and they fuck with INCREDIBLE FOOD. My go to is the 20 piece fried shrimp (extra crispy) with a side of greens. You can add fish by the pound too, so don't forget to pick up a couple of extra pieces of grilled salmon for lunch tomorrow. The hush puppies will shut your mouth with flavor and texture, and the catfish is fried to perfection. I'm a big fan of any business model that lays fresh food out in front of you before it is prepared, it sends a real 'nothing to hide' kind of message. Have I encountered a hiccup or two while procuring food from this establishment? Sure, but they're just getting up and running and they do their very best to make sure everything is right in the end. Trust in Fishbone and you will be happy with the results. read more

It was delicious. I ordered the lunch special. 2 piece catfish. It was worth the price. Not too much food. I want to try their grilled salmon, next time. read more

Don't believe the hype. The fish was chewy and had no taste and the macaroni salad had NO TASTE . I feel I wasted 17$ after eating this meal .... I won't be returning..... not to mention, they charge for extra hot sauce and tarter sauce, it's like we are already paying 17$ for this bland food and now we have to pay extra for the condiments! read more

Worth the wait! If a place is busy, that means it's good. If it takes a while for you good to cook and it is HOT when you get it, that means its FRESH! Fishbone is both good and fresh. If you are in a hurry don't go, this fish taste homemade and if you want fast food go to McDonald's. The staff is polite and very informative. Patient with all customers who have questions and when it's a line they acknowledge the wait and let you know they will be with you soon as possible. The fried salmon is my favorite. I'm not a fan of tartar sauce and never get it but today the lady suggested I try theirs and it was amazing. Every time I visit this establishment I see someone I know, which for me is always affirmation that I made the correct choice. Thank you for bringing quality fish back to the area. read more

Food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Multiple things to choose from and the inside is very clean.

Service was great. Ordered my food when it was done, food was shown before bagged up. Food was prepared to perfection.

Horrible customer service ordered online waited. Over 30 minutes. Order was still not available. Asked to be compensated with the least a drink and I was refused. Lady told me that's not gonna happen in a very rude manner. Don't ever go to this place. not worth it. A customer Service sucks. Customer services is Horrible!!!!! William S maybe you should check the online order and check the text that was sent to me. Once I receive the text I ask if my order was ready. Your staff no. I wait more that 18 mins. Then I received another text saying my order was ready and came back to the cashier only to find out my order was still not ready. At that point your staff said I will cook it and I'm still waiting. I said to your staff I should be compensated for my time and there were the drinks on top of counter that I took and said I would take this drink and the girl behind the counter said those are warm. Did you want a cold one? I said sure, and then she said, did you pay for it did you pay for it and I said no I I should be complementary waiting for more than 18 mins and her exact words were that is not going to happen offer me a fountain drink, which is not what I wanted due to the fact that she grabbed the cup without any gloves on came in from the outside no hands were washed and handed me the fountain cup now I didn't say anything I just grabbed my food and I left, so if you want to alter this narrative, and you're more than welcome. read more

Conflicted on this review... the food took literally an hour from order to food on the table... shrimp, fish, fries, toast, rolls, beans & rice they were good... greens were tasteless kinda disappointed... if ur not concerned with time I'd say go for it... but, I'll pass on a 2nd visit... you'd expect more in terms of customer service for $20 a head... the food cancels out the customer experience.... So I'm right down the middle on this place... I did notice the call in orders were running quicker... read more

Best fried fish and shrimp in the city. Flavor is amazing. Customer service is great too.

Delicious!! it's Good Friday and they were VERY busy. The woman at the cash register was overwhelmed but STILL gave great customer service! she even took the time to reconcile our order to the receipt before she bagged it which I really appreciat! Most take-out places don't even bother to check only to get home and find out something is missing or wrong. Will definitely be back. I really hope this business does well! read more
