Let's get a few things straight first: * This is not a fine dining establishment so I'm comparing it against other casual dining spots (but expect more than fast food) * I tend to avoid buffets, even pre COVID, as you don't know how long it's been sitting there. * I'm not worrying about authenticity -- just food I enjoy eating. I will let others decide if it's truly Chinese. I was craving Chinese and, with Mandarin Gourmet closed, I don't have a go-to spot. We decided to try First Wok based on reviews. And, of course, we ordered way too much so we could sample the menu. On to the food: Hot & sour soup -- the large is enough for 3-4 people. I liked the spiciness but wish it had a bit more egg and a few more mushrooms. Chicken rice noodle -- essentially stir fry with rice noodles instead of rice or noodles. A surprisingly flavorful dish. Mixed vegetable with tofu -- the only dish we wouldn't repeat. Not bad but just not remarkable. Vegetables were good but the tofu was bland. Sautéed three ingredient -- prawns, scallops, and squid with a ton of snow peas and some carrots. The oyster sauce was very good. Did I say it was a LOT of snow peas? BBQ pork with string beans -- sliced BBQ pork with a generous amount of string beans. Quite good but I would have enjoyed a little more spice; maybe more garlic? The above was enough food for two people over three meals, and we ate well each time. If you don't mind buffets, you can walk in and order a three item combo. It's fast and easy, even during COVID times. As Arnold would say, I'll be back.

Unless you want an overpriced food I wouldn't recommend it. Service was okay. The food had no flavor at all.

Whenever I want Chinese food I always come here. The food is nice and filling with a good portion size for what you pay for.

Are they still in operation? They were closed when I came today around 6 pm, despite having a sign saying they were open 7 days.

Yes they are open although there was a small period of time they were not open (without any signage stating why) during the time you visited. However they are back at it and making excellent sesame shrimp, ginger beef, roast pork chow men and…

The beef was tender and coated in an addictive sauce, while the onions complemented it perfectly. The green beans were also good, although the XO sauce was spicier than what I'm used to. They were supposed to be cooked with minced pork, but there was barely any in the dish. The beef chow fun was just okay--I've had better elsewhere, so I'll probably skip it next time. I'd come back for the black pepper beef and to try a few other dishes on the menu.

Seated quickly and was given menus. We had to flag someone down and the lady decided to comment that we ordered too much carbs... I'm like okay... We ordered a fried sticky rice, e-noodles, and a seafood clay pot. Thank god for the complimentary salted peanuts or we would be starving. We waited over 25 minutes for our food. Large quantity which was the only saving grace from this long wait. Food was decently good. We were given tong Sui at the end. I don't think I will return. Waiting 25 minutes for our food was too long.

Was a good blend of both Korean and Chinese food and we pretty much devoured everything! The jajangmyeon was SOOO good. I love a good jajangmyeon and this definitely gave me a new go-to place to order some. We also got a pear slushie that was a very welcome surprise. I'm not usually a pear person, but it tasted exactly like an Asian pear and I can't stop thinking about it The restaurant has a really homey and clean feel with very nice employees and is a great spot for a big group.
