Sifu Wong Kitchen is a really solid addition to the South Bay dim sum scene. It's tucked inside the…read moreRamada Hotel in Sunnyvale, and the setup is surprisingly nice--clean banquet seating, way less cramped than your usual dim sum spots, and they have huge TVs all over the place. We actually watched the World Cup final here and the atmosphere was awesome. The dim sum is traditional Hong Kong style, and the quality is definitely there. You definitely need to get the Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Buns. They look cool with the black and gold style, and the molten salted egg yolk center is perfectly rich without being overly sweet. The Lychee Shrimp Balls are super unique too; they look exactly like real lychees on the outside but are stuffed with a snappy shrimp paste that isn't greasy at all. For the classic stuff, the Har Gaw and Siu Mai hit the spot--the skins hold up well without tearing and the pieces are nice and plump. The Baked BBQ Pork Buns are also great, with that crispy, sweet polo-style topping and a good amount of savory pork filling inside. Service can be a little slow on busy weekends since the place gets packed with families, but the staff keeps the kitchen moving as fast as they can. If you want high-quality Cantonese comfort food, excellent dim sum, and a great space to catch a game, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Soup Dumplings, Shrimp Rice Roll, and Steamed Sparerib, all were good as usual. Half Peking Duck was a highlight, love the perfectly thin and crispy skin. Fried E-Fu Noodle with Lobster - the lobster is fresh and huge, great flavor without being overly salty nor greasy. Black Pepper Beef Fillet with Assorted Mushroom, I like the tender beef and the mushrooms were well seasoned. Sautéed Chinese Broccoli (kailan) with Dried Flounder Flake, the flavor was good, but the kailan stems were cut too large, difficult to eat. We finished with satisfying desserts, Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Bun was excellent with the lava effect. Mango Pomelo Sago was awesome, and the Snow Lotus Seed Peach Resin was really good and not too sweet. Everyone was full and happy.

The beef was tender and coated in an addictive sauce, while the onions complemented it perfectly. The green beans were also good, although the XO sauce was spicier than what I'm used to. They were supposed to be cooked with minced pork, but there was barely any in the dish. The beef chow fun was just okay--I've had better elsewhere, so I'll probably skip it next time. I'd come back for the black pepper beef and to try a few other dishes on the menu.

Seated quickly and was given menus. We had to flag someone down and the lady decided to comment that we ordered too much carbs... I'm like okay... We ordered a fried sticky rice, e-noodles, and a seafood clay pot. Thank god for the complimentary salted peanuts or we would be starving. We waited over 25 minutes for our food. Large quantity which was the only saving grace from this long wait. Food was decently good. We were given tong Sui at the end. I don't think I will return. Waiting 25 minutes for our food was too long.

Nice looking place. But you have to ask for a menu or go looking for one.
