We love going to First Watch, so we were excited to find this new one opening in Windermere. We arrived around 1:45 for lunch. The hostess walked us to our table, put the menus down on the table, and walked away. There was no eye contact, no "enjoy your lunch," no "your server will be right with you." We both looked at each other and laughed at how ridiculous that was. Our server was more friendly than the hostess, but not very knowledgeable or attentive. The menu said that there was regular iced tea and a seasonal flavor iced tea. I asked him what the seasonal flavor was, and he kind of laughed it off like I was stupid to ask because iced tea is iced tea, and they only had one iced tea. Um...ok. But that's not what your menu says. I know the difference between regular and flavored iced tea. The food was good; I ordered the Chicken Avocado Chop Salad. It was delicious and filling, and came with a spiced slice of ciabatta bread. When we left, we waited behind another couple who was waiting for the cashier to come to the register to check out. It seemed like everyone was more concerned with the restaurant closing at 2:30 so they could call it quits. This First Watch really needs to work on improving their customer service to get on par with other, more established First Watches. read more

I've always been a huge fan of first watch for breakfast or brunch. This location is very close to my house and I've been here many times. The service is always pretty good, but the food quality has gone down in my opinion. For example, my waffle was soggy and my eggs were overcooked. And the restaurants defense, I didn't give them the opportunity to correct this, as I was hungry and just ate my food read more

My husband and I love First Watch for breakfast. Everything on their breakfast menu is delicious and worthy of ordering. On our last visit we were meeting some friends for breakfast before doing some holiday shopping together. I felt like blueberry pancakes and bacon. My pancakes were light and fluffy and had tons of blueberries. It was the best order yet. My husband ordered the Trifecta. Two eggs over easy, a pancake and bacon. His eggs were perfect and runny just the way he likes it. The restaurant was as busy as always and the service was excellent. The kitchen performed well. read more

This place is always very hit or miss for me. At least when there has been any serious issue with the food, the managers have always been accommodating. Helpful tip - if the dish comes with some sweet yummy sauce, like a few seasonal breakfast dishes do, always get it on the side! Will be back of course. read more

First watch is one of those restaurants that hits right pretty much every time. This location in Windermere is a short bike ride from my love's house so we find ourselves here on the weekends when the weather is good for riding. When we came in March it was still fairly cool out and it was nice to dine on the front patio. Today we opted for inside, yes there's a fall feeling in the air, but it's still hot out here! Parking lot is smallish and the Starbucks drive thru gets backed up and wrapped around so be aware of that. Usually pretty easy to get seated promptly but they also have online check in if you have a larger party or expect a crowd depending on your arrival time. Their "always" menu has loads of delicious options ranging from healthy to million dollar bacon (which is bacon + syrup + pepper + brown sugar) and the seasonal menu highlights fresh seasonal flavors with yummy dishes sure to please! Probably my favorite feature are their fresh juices! The Morning Meditation is my go to. It has orange and beet juice with lemon, turmeric, ginger and agave. Yum yum yum! These of course are not free refills so I do find myself having to pace my consumption to keep breakfast affordable. Definitely sign up for their eClub I got a BOGO entree deal for my birthday! GF, tomato, dye free eating restrictions First Watch is my go-to brunch/lunch when I'm on the road. They have Udi's gf bread for sandwiches. No gf pancakes, which would be super easy to add to the menu. Stick to the bowls, omelettes, and juices. It gets busy, so get in the online queue if going during a rush. Coffee is meh and they only have those wasteful little creamer cups. So opt for a juice if you don't need the caffeine. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The service has always been friendly and prompt. My bread eating companions say the sandwiches, pancakes, and French toast all scrumptious. read more

The first time I visited First Watch was with my mom and boys right after we moved. I was floored by how fresh all of the ingredients were. Mom mom was so excited over her lemon pancakes, and my kids...the fact that the kids pancakes were the size of their heads had them freaking out. Fast forward 2 1/2 years later, and this is still one of my favorite breakfast and lunch places around. The salads and sandwiches are as fresh as the ingredients they use for breakfast. The food is good. Really good. We stop in about once a month. The best part is, we've visited 3 different locations and the food is the same. That's the sign of good training, and a good model. Whomp whomp.... LOVE the menu but this location just has too many misses. If you're a breakfast restaurant, you should do an amazing breakfast (you had one job). Menu options deliver but the execution in the kitchen is off. Couple that with glitches with the app (get in line feature) and its just always frustrating to come here. We ordered 2 orders of avocado toast with over easy eggs. Brown avocado, over cooked eggs and the white bread wasn't even toasted. Took over an hour to get presented with what we ordered. First time visiting this First Watch and just as good as other locations I have tried. Love the company culture, so definitely a place I can support. But also .... Staff - friendly, attentive, quick. Four stars for this First Watch location. Despite it being busy, we were able to get a table relatively quickly. My only complaint is that because we were close to the windows, the sunlight was right in my eyes the entire time. There aren't any blinds to adjust, and the exterior overhang wasn't in a position to block the sunlight. I ordered the avocado toast and eggs, along with a side of potatoes. My husband ordered a hash and morning meditation. The service was alright, though I felt our server was new because he needed to be reminded of things over and over again (such as my husband's drink and cups for water). Overall, I felt the price was decent for what you get, and the food is on par with other breakfast locations nearby. read more

First watch is a great brunch spot with so many vegetarian options! The restaurant is spacious and clean. I got the elevated egg sandwich and my husband got an omelette with toast and potatoes. The potatoes come as a side and it was well seasoned. I only wish it was more crispy but still tasted good! Our food did come out fast and I have to say my elevated egg sandwich which consisted of smashed avocado, sunny side egg, cheese, mixed greens, and mayo on a brioche bun was absolutely delicious! Just started working around here & was looking for something for lunch. Had never tried First Watch, so I decided to give it a try. Stopped in & was pleasantly greeted by a young man who sat me immediately. Menu had a few things that looked good. I went with the half roast beef sandwich & cup of chicken chili. Both were very good. Just the right size for a light lunch. Liked it so much went back the next day & had the chicken salad melt which was absolutely delicious! Service both times was pretty good. Everyone seems very friendly & attentive; & the place has an overall good vibe. It's nicely decorated & looked very clean. We ordered the Traditional breakfast, the ricotta lemon pancakes, the Carrot Crush, and coffee. All of the food was good. I filled up on the Carrot Crush and the bacon so I was only able to finish half of the pancakes. The carrot crush is natural and good but not super sweet. This restaurant is too good to be true. The service is great despite always being completely packed. One of the reasons I go here so often is because of the cozy country vibe. The details in the furniture and the art, and even what the waiters wear, it all just makes you feel right at home. And last but certainly not least is the food. The food here as well as everything else is beyond amazing. I always get the trifecta and I always will. The bacon, the eggs and of course the waffle are flavorful and delicious. Everything is made with love. And while the waiters are sometimes a little clumsy it all adds to the lovely rustic and imperfect but cozy feeling. read more

I haven't been to a First Watch in ages. I was with co-workers today for breakfast. We were sat right away and I liked the decor. Just wish there was WiFi other than jumping on Starbuck's nearby. A young man came and took our order. I got the biscuits and gravy. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but service was lacking and prices seemed a bit steep for breakfast. My breakfast ended up being $15 with the tip and I didn't even order a drink. I did ask for cheese on my eggs. I believe that little sprinkle cost an extra $1.37. No one came by to see how our food was and we waited quite a bit for the check. I think the young man worked in the kitchen and was helping out. Another young lady helped bring our food out and later our check. We all started to wonder if she was actually our server. Our water was never refilled and my one co-worker had to request a refill on his soda. read more

Prior to the store's closure due to COVID-19, I had a less than stellar experience at this particular First Watch location. I'm not sure if it was just an off day, but everything seemed to go wrong. Our service was very slow, even though things seemed to be moving for other tables. To-go orders seem to be a priority at this location, so I would recommend doing that instead of coming in and sitting down for a breakfast, as meal after meal was being taken out and we were left with just water. Having one year old twins is HARD AF, especially when you also have another child (without daycare, nannies or family, too) and I just wanted to give a shout out to the GM Lisa over at first watch in Windermere for taking the time to bring fruit cups to our children and actually sit down with us, so that they could calm down a bit and we could enjoy our #brunch yesterday. We already had quite the morning full of unfortunate events and it really, genuinely meant the world to us that she was such a kind-hearted person - talk about fabulous customer service! Couldn't get any awesome food pics, but it really meant a lot! People always seem to underestimate the importance of just being nice to others and treating people how you'd want to be treated! Just came back from having breakfast at First Watch on Rt. 535. We had the good fortune of being served by Leah who remembered us from only one visit a few months ago. Leah is a breath of fresh air! Shee greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome, while also making sure we had everything we needed to make our visit the best it could be. Her service was exemplary, and the food was great. Yesterday we decided to try a first watch out with my friends Mother and we were not disappointed. The service was immediate the hostess open the door for us when we got there. She instantly sat us to our table. The server came over right away to grab a drink order and gave us time to look over the menu to see what we would like for breakfast. The meals took 30minutes From the time Server took our order to it coming to our table. Everything came out wonderful. I did notice that the super foods bowl,the Chia pudding has gotten smaller. The granola and the bread still has honey in it so you have to opt out of the bread and granola in order for it to be a full truly vegan meal. First Watch is always a good decision, and now has alcohol?! Love it. The million dollar bacon is a must, and the hashes are to die for. We tried the pumpkin spice pancake bites (seasonal) and loved them. Coffee is strong and plentiful, and the toast and jam is *chef's kiss*. We had a lot of special requests for dietary restrictions and they were super accommodating to all of it and brought it all out quickly and just like we asked. We love the FW chain but this was our first time at this location. Really great brunch place with cheap prices and lots of options. We sat by the kitchen and watched amazing meals consistently come out. The service was a little slow and hectic but still good considering the busy Sunday morning.
