Service was excelente. My group had a few questions about their drink selection. How some drinks were made with? If we could change out certain types of liquor it the drinks. Staff would answer our questions and if the answer was not known they would go find out the answer and return quickly with the response. Staff had so much patience for our group. I had ordered their fried pickles which I love! For the price there were a lot in my opinion. I do order fried pickles in different locations with quantity lacking not matching the price. But I was pleased with the quantity and taste of my order. I did order their regular margarita. But it was more like a lemonade than a margarita. I had to order an additional shot for it to be really considered a margarita. When I came in it was 10pm and from what I understand and saw it gets busy. I have been here 7 years ago and just came back when I was in town for the week. It's your typical local sports bar. Food is good and the staff is friendly. The locals are fun to talk with and are welcoming. If I lived down here I would definitely make this my watering hole and my game day spot. The wings I ordered was suppose to be dry rub caribbean wings, but they gave me the wrong flavor, not sure what it is, tasted like buffalo but not sure... Despite not being my flavor of choice, the wings were quite juicy and not dry and relatively big. The house chips were really crunchy and not overly salty. The sweet potato fries were good as well, seems they didn't put salt on it (not complaining), the fries were like dirty fries, it had seasoning, it was good. Environment There was no dedicated space for parking to pick up (at least I didn't see it). The interior seems very friendly and welcoming. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff. This location is hit or miss on service and food. I've been here several times and have enjoyed some items that were decent, like the chili. Other items have been disgusting like the pot roast dinner with strange, sweet tasting mashed potatoes and salty beef. This weekend, I tried the Cobb Salad and it was really bad. The bacon was chewy instead of crispy. The chicken was dry with a strange flavor. They forgot to add the blue cheese, which is pretty standard on a Cobb Salad. The waitress later brought some out in a small sauce cup after I asked for it 2 times. The avocado was not ripe and had a hard texture with no flavor. Based on this experience, I would likely not order this salad again. I have had good salads here, so I know they can do better. My friend ordered a new item, called steak bites. It is normally served on garlic bread pieces. She subbed the bread out for a salad mix. She also subbed the Cajun sauce for chimmichurri sauce and enjoyed her meal. Recently hit gators for dinner while we were in town based on a friends recommendation and were pleasantly surprised. We started with the gator bites. Meaty chunks of gator, battered and deep fried. Every piece was tender, hot and delicious. Came with a honey mustard dipping sauce. So good! Wings are the thing at Gators and according to my buddy, the scooter sauce is the way to go. While the wings were EXACTLY how i like them being big, meaty, lightly breaded the scooter sauce wasn't for me. I'm a spicy fan and the scooter sauce is a sweet and salty combination. If you like that kinda flavor, then these are AWESOME!! I also ordered 10 hot/garlic wings and these were INCREDIBLE! Spicy sauce with that garlic bite on these wings were the perfect combination. I would crush 25 of these. Fries were on point. Hot, crispy, salty and plentiful. Service was great too. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure everything came out right. She also checked on us multiple times and made sure our drinks stayed full. This place reminds me a local sports bar meets family restaurant. The ambiance is perfect for almost anybody. We often find ourselves requesting outside seating as they have a nice patio area and we typically come in the evenings. So far as the menu, you can expect your typical bar menu fair (burgers, wings, fried things) but also we often find some unexpected findings in seafood pastas, poutine, etc. We've been frequenting Gators for a few years now and over that time we've seen their menu go through several changes. More often than not I'll find myself ordering buffalo cauliflower, veggie wings, or poutine. So far as wing sauce I enjoy garlic hot, hot chipotle honey bbq, and sweet thai chili. While their food is good, the real reason we come to Gators is for their drinks! Are they anything special, no. But what they are are good, strong, and cheap! They have daily specials, regular BOGOs, and a great selection. Nothing better than sitting outside, having a drink and a bite to eat, and seeing/hearing the Magic Kingdom fireworks going off in the distance. Service has always been great for us-friendly and fun without being overbearing. Ordered a Caesar salad and a fried cauliflower appetizer today just before at the brownwood in Wildwood location. There was plenty of empty tables. I guess now we know why over an hour later our server had not yet came back to check on even though he brought us the wrong brought diet instead of Pepsi. tracked down another server seems we couldn't find was extremely rude repeatedly saying that that was not her table and that she would check out back all. I asked her is if the kitchen was extremely busy or if my order had perhaps been forgotten she repeated that this was not her table and was very rude after the way she treated us we decided it was best if we just leave on our way out the door she was telling the hostess that we didn't matter because we didn't know what we were talking about even though my wife and I have over 50 years restaurant experience and we're here on our 20th year anniversary. Never have we been treated this way in any restaurant. I hope somebody goes back and checks the surveillance to take care of this problem. We will not be back. We ordered to go and the food was good considering how much it cooled down before we got it home. If you like mushrooms, the fried mushroom appetizer is the bomb. It traveled well and the breading was still crispy. I was worried they may get soggy by the time we got to eat but they didn't. The tots stayed crispy too. There's nothing worse than soggy tots so that warrants 5 stars in my opinion. The wings were cooked and seasoned very well and the sliders were delicious. We were looking for a quick lunch & know that food is consistently good here, so we traveled a bit further than we wanted for this visit. We were greeted & seated promptly upon entering, and our nice server, Hayley, approached us right away to take our drink order. My daughter tried the fried chicken wrap & when asked if she wanted chips or fries she opted for the fries. The food took a bit longer than expected considering that there weren't many occupied tables, but it didn't bother us. The food arrived accurately, & everything looked good. My daughter liked her wrap, & the fries were hot & very tasty - I made sure! :-) My salad looked fantastic, as usual, but after digging in I realized they had went a little too light on the avocado and blue cheese - 2 important staples of a good Cobb salad. There were only a few crumbles of blue cheese - slight enough that I almost asked for more, but didn't want to wait for it. Hayley returned with a drink refill, and we finished our meal. We waited for a while for her to return with the bill & for plates to be removed, but I think they just started getting a little busier, so again, no big deal. When we received the bill I noticed that there was a charge for fries. I guess it is an upcharge, which I would have gladly agreed to since their fries are delicious, but I wish she would have mentioned that instead of offering them as if they were an equal option. Not many cocktails selection. The sauce on their wings are "meh". When you order grilled wings, you taste no flavor, I brought that up to the server that the wings didn't taste like the flavor we ordered (garlic Parmesan) and he said it was normal for grilled wings and you have to ask to get them tossed after being grilled. On the surface, if you are going to watch a game and have some beer, there is nothing at all wrong with Gator's... and I think that is really what it is best suited for. When you dive a little deeper with food, that's when you realize there are many other better options. The menu is a typical "bar food" menu with a few signature items and larger entrees. Everything unfortunately seems to come out greasy, heavy and flavorless. If that doesn't bother you.... great! For me, there are so many better options in the area. Service is fine (but forgettable) and the decor is very plain and focused on the TVs. I'm sure I'll end up back here when I'm with a group of friends that wants to go, but I will do my darnedest to have them drive a little further to Ale House or Twin Peaks to ensure I don't have indigestion all night. read more

Was supposed to come with broccoli, brussel sprouts, mushrooms and corn. Brussel sprouts and mushrooms were missing and the corn was old and rotten (see picture). Tuna and veggies were frozen, unseasoned and bland. Avocado was watery and Rubbery, couldn't even eat it. My Prosecco was flat (definitely watered down). I always enjoy Gator's Dockside, and this newest location is no exception. It has a bit less of a sports bar feel than a few of the others, but there are still a lot of TVs, and the menus are the same. My favorite item is the grilled wings. Grilling removes a lot of the fat, and lets the sauce shine through. My choice is hot garlic. There's a lunch special weekdays until 4pm that includes fries. On my visit I thought both the fries and wings could have been cooked a bit longer, to crisp the fries and char the wings; I'll request that next time.
