Love the retro lights.

This was my first time here. They have a great craft beer selection and the wings are pretty darn good. For me the pizza was ok. I liked that it wasn't super salty but wished it had a bit more sauce. My daughter ordered pasta which came out 10+ minutes before the rest of our meals. Operations seemed a bit disorganized. The food was good enough that i will come back but hopefully things are smoother next time.

Meatball Meatball BBQ Sub - 12" Sub
Kristi B.

We arrived around 3 PM on a Thursday afternoon right before Christmas. We had the entire place to ourselves, literally. There was no one else in there. All of their menus are QR code. There were just two of us in our party, and we opted to keep it simple. My husband got the meatball sub with fries (there is a up charge fee for fries) and I got the metro turkey sub with chips (no up charge). They have Coppertail beer on tap, and with it being a beer out of Tampa, I opted for one glass of beer while my husband got a Sprite. The subs were beautifully toasted. Not too hard, but not too soft. The meatball sub was good but it needed more marinara on it. My husband ended up asking for two more small containers to add to the sandwich. Overall, it was good, but he said the pizza and the wings he's had there before were much better. I had the metro turkey sub which was turkey, deli meat with green apples and lettuce, cheese and a slightly spicy sauce. Was not overly spicy but the perfect balance with the sweetness of the apples. I really enjoyed my sandwich and would order it again.

We've been visiting here for over two years and are always pleased with the service and friendliness of this restaurant. Their wings are solid, and their pizza selection is always enough for everyone in our family to find something they love. This time we tried the cheesy bread, and it will become a new staple for us each visit - it was so crispy and cheesy that it was demolished in seconds! My husband especially appreciates the good craft beer selection and I love the small town family feel each time we're greeted. As a bonus they always have the best football games on during the weekend!

Cheesy Bread (was really good)

I see all of this love for Josie's but to be honest I left my experience feeling whelmed at best...not overwhelmed; not underwhelmed...just whelmed. Looking to order pick-up I hopped onto their website to review the menu and found it to be glitchy and not mobile browser friendly. The site said to download the app, so I did...and it's just as glitchy. I started to try and place an order through the app but it would not allow for modifications to the order. I gave Josie's a call and was able to place my order with ease. The employee who helped me was super friendly and attentive. After a brief wait; maybe 20mins I headed over to pick up our food. The dining area was small but very clean. A handful of customers were scattered about having beer and talking. I will say they have some great local and craft beers on tap here. I was promptly greeted and my order was ready when I arrived. So far you're thinking...if everything was so smooth and easy-why the two stars? The food. We ordered two calzones and an order of their cheese bread which totaled just shy of $31. Upon getting our order home we found the serving sizes to be lackluster. The cheese bread, tho delicious, was quite tiny. The calzones were of okay size but massively lacking on the fillings and the majority of it just being bread. It just wasn't worth the price we paid to be honest. There are other, local joints nearby where you can get way more and better food for a similar price. Sadly that is what made Josie's a one-and-done for us. Obviously I am in the minority when it comes to Josie's but based on our experience we just won't be returning. The service was wonderful but the portions didn't add up to the price.

I've been going to Josie's on Hiawassee for more than twenty years, but somehow missed the opening of this one, which is much closer to my home. The space is much brighter and more open than the old location. Although there is a sort of bar in the back, this is primarily a table service place, with plenty of tables both inside and outside. On our visit there were a handful of inside tables occupied, and the sole server was doing a fantastic job of keeping up with everyone. We shared a large Greek salad, an order of ten hot garlic wings, and a pepperoni, ricotta, and basil pizza. Everything was excellent, and the hot food arrived literally steaming from the kitchen. The Greek salad was a nice mix of fresh veggies on top of crisp lettuce, and the Greek dressing was delicious. The pizza didn't have a crisp crust, but the sauce had a great oregano flavor, the cheese was plentiful, and the pepperoni was very flavorful. The wings are the wet style, and some of the best in town. I love that they use fresh garlic on top of the hot sauce rather than mixing in powdered garlic. A lot of places have been having staffing issues, and we had the impression there might be just two people working here on a Monday at lunch, but they were certainly doing a great job, and I give them full points for food and service.

The Metro Turkey Sub at Josies
Loren W.

The metro turkey sub was a cool surprise. Recommended by the server, it was a cool combination of turkey, cranberries, apples, bleu cheese, a tomato mayo and cheese. Turkey, sliced green apples, crumbled bleu cheese, dried cranberries, lettuce, sun-dried tomato mayo and cheese. Never had this combination on a sub before and really enjoyed it. Will get it again.

We arrived around 5pm and we were able to pick where we sat. We sat at one of the booths and Brian was our oh so awesome server. He came over with a smile and a run down of what's good. We started with cocktails, we both ordered The Elderberry, it was perfect & so refreshing. For our entrees, we had both of the burgers on the HH menu, the Small Batch Whiskey and the Small Batch Lassahn. We also ordered The Salmon burger. For sides we had the regular fries and the Parmesan truffle fries. Everything was soooooo good. The beef burgers were seasoned so perfectly, and cooked medium as we requested. Every bite made my taste buds dance. The truffle fries were so good, I almost ordered more. The garlic aioli is a must for dipping your fries in. The Whiskey has lots of seating, tables, booths and bar seating. There's lots of pictures on the walls and tvs. It's a vibe for sure. I'm so glad we had lunch at The Whiskey and will definitely go back the next time we are in Orlando. Thanks Brian for making our experience awesome!

The Black N' Bleu burger with sweet potato fries is absolutely incredible and easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and the sweet potato fries are the perfect addition. I've also tried the War Pig burger and oh my... SO good. Honestly, everything I've tried so far has been amazing. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and consistency keep me coming back, and I already know this is going to stay in my regular dinner rotation. Can't wait to come back again!

I'm so happy we have a place like this in this area of town, something we have definitely been missing. I always love the vibes here, whether I'm sitting in the main dining room or in the more casual bar area. I love that they do seasonal menus, as well as monthly menus that are often themed to holidays. I dream of the Kung pow cauliflower, and I love the deconstructed chicken pot pie when it's available (I believe it's seasonal). Their beer is also great, though I'm not a beer expert, so I can't really speak too much detail to that! Just a perfect place to go for happy hour, catch up with friends, bring your family, whatever. Always good service and great energy.

My husband got the beer that was released for the triple crown series and it's one of his favorites. He really enjoys it. I tried the strawberry cream ale and found that I really enjoyed it. For dinner, my husband got the hamburger and said that he wouldn't have put the jam on it. He got it on the side, but even when he put on, even though it was very little, overpowered the taste of the burger. I got the special for the month of May, which was a taco salad and while the meat was delicious, it was actually too much of it. I would've liked to have more lettuce in my actual salad.

Before I even got my food, I had a great interaction with Mercedes at the counter. She was genuinely friendly, easy to talk to, and didn't rush the moment, which set a really positive tone right away. I ordered a cheesesteak with everything on it, and when it came out, it was clear they don't cut corners here. The sandwich was fully loaded from one end to the other, with finely chopped steak that was juicy and well seasoned. The cheese was melted throughout instead of just sitting on top, so every bite had that same balanced flavor. Even with all the toppings, nothing felt overwhelming, and the bread held everything together without falling apart. It also came with fries, which were hot and crispy, and I paired everything with a peach Crush. That combination worked really well, especially with how rich the cheesesteak was. Between the quality of the food and the customer service, this is an easy recommendation. If you are craving a cheesesteak and want something that actually feels worth it, this spot is a solid choice. The ambience was just simple. It gave a mom and pop shop vibe, I love it.

The manager was going back-and-forth between being in the kitchen as well as seating people at the hosting stand which led me to believe that there must've been call-ins or scheduling has just been not great. We ended up being seated, but had to wait for them to clear off a booth because they didn't wanna seat in the other section. They clearly had closed off. We ordered our food, but our server seemed really disengaged like she was just going through the motions. Food came out super quickly. I did order a sparkling sangria that was nonalcoholic and it basically just tasted like Pepsi so not exactly sure what it was supposed to taste like but it definitely didn't have any sangria flavoring. My husband got a glass of water, but sadly you could tell that they must've either just got it out of the sink or just hand wash it because you could literally taste the soap. I got an order of the tamales, which were good. They definitely are a little spicy so be aware of that if you are opposed to spice, but the serving was large and I ended up taking it home to have for lunch the next day. My husband got the Carnitas and I will say the Carnitas seem like they were more shredded then they were previously. Overall, it was an OK experience. The cabbage was a little strange to me- not as I imagined from Jamaica steamed cabbage. The mixed veggies were also basic - like boiled frozen mixed veggies. The rice and peas were overall good but tasted a little on the hard side. The chicken though! This was the highlight - it was very flavorful, though I wish I would be able to have the sauce on the side.. For the fried chicken meal - the fried chicken was nice and hot. I got this to-go and was worried it would get soggy but it still tasted great when I got home. Environment This is located in a plaza tucked away near the corner. It seems to be a more takeout restaurant. There is some seats inside for your to enjoy the food. Since it is in a plaza, there is plenty of parking available, but in front of the restaurant could be a bit tricky. Niceness of the staff I would say she was not on the nice side. No one greeted me upon entering also they seemed preoccupied and did not once gave eye-contact. Definitely not friendly.. but nonetheless I got my food. Dollar It is like the bang for your buck.
