We came to the Pizza Press for their Disney and Universal workers BOGO 12" pizzas. The service was decent, as well as the food. We also ordered the 6 piece wings with Mango Habanero sauce since they were out of the 3 sauce options we asked for. The taste and the flavors were ok, but for $9.99 these wings were tiny and super fatty. My biggest concern was the cleanliness of the establishment itself. There were bugs flying and crawling around on the floor, the tables were grimy and overall just looked like no one ever wiped down the place. Tables were cleared, but I notice that they had sanitizing spray and paper towel out on the counter by the trash - unfortunately giving me the impression that they expect customers to clean the tables themselves. Even the bathrooms were unkept and gross. I also found it a little weird that they had a makeshift office in the dining area. It was somewhat blocked off by open book shelves, but if you walked by you could clearly see paperwork and monitors through the shelves. This is also where they kept the to-go pizza boxes for guests to grab, which were piled up so high I was concerned someone was going to reach and knock them all over. With so many better options around the local area, I unfortunately do not believe I'll be coming back to the Pizza Press anytime soon. read more

It's like Subway - for pizza!! Stopped in for a quick pie tonight. The girl helping us decide what to order and who made our pizzas up to the oven was a true delight. We think her name was Grace (long blond hair, wore a visor) and she was so nice to offer suggestions when we were lost on what to put on our pizzas! You pick your crust, sauce (lots of flavors and garlic options) then a Wide range of cheeses, meats and toppings. Once our pizzas came out there were a few young men at the other end of the oven moving and grooving to check people out and box up to go orders. Very pleasant and chatty with what seemed like locals ahead of us. The cafe portion was quite filthy - sticky tables, chairs askew and not uniform and lots of random bits of trash around. It wasn't super busy so not sure if that's the norm or what but I had to take a wipe out of my purse to wipe our table down as it was littered with someone's crumbs and sticky soda residue. We bussed our own tables when done but saw others just get up to leave. With this not being a finer dining place I was ok doing that but definitely unclear as to what the standard was supposed to be. Parking lot is a bit tight as there are a lot of businesses in the complex but it was not super awful. Bathrooms onsite - didn't use just saw them. Most all payment options accepted. read more

After a few years of living in Horizon West, we finally went to The Pizza Press one night for dinner. We decided to share a pizza and then go next door to Abbott's for dessert. I liked that the menu was pretty extensive with unique options (or you could choose to built your own pizza, like Blaze Pizza). I was surprised by the secondary Brazilian pizza menu. We had just tried Brazilian pizza at Pie-Fection, so I didn't realize we had another pizza location close by that offered this specialty. We ordered the Quatro Queijos - tomato sauce, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Blue Cheese, and Catupiry Cream Cheese. The blue cheese is what really sold it for me. We then chose to top it off with a balsamic glaze and basil. It was a nice evening out, so we decided to sit outside on their patio, which looks like mostly a lounge area for drinking and conversation with lounge chairs, sofas, and coffee tables. Not the easiest for eating pizza, but it was still enjoyable. But they could really use more ambiance out there with better lighting, plants, etc. The pizza itself was amazing; I loved the flavor combination. And it was hot and delicious. The service itself when ordering and then paying was so-so. It was a Sunday night, so I don't know if that's when they don't have their best crew on or what. If the pizza wasn't so delicious, we probably wouldn't give them another chance, but we'll go back again maybe during the day for lunch and see what the service is like. My son and I stopped here before a movie. We have never been and have been wanting to check it out. Love the concept. Lots of great choices. The place is super cute we are inside but love the outdoor space for when we have nicer weather. Pizza was good they let us customize two sides differently so we could each get what we wanted. The lower rating was for the women taking out order. My son loved getting to watch it all being done and she had no energy. She never even smiled. I'm shocked this pizza place isn't rated higher. We stopped by after a Walmart trip across the street, and overall, the experience was solid. The interior was clean, and there was no wait when we arrived. We ordered two kids' pizza meals (each came with one topping pizza, a drink, and a cookie), a 12" double-dough pepperoni pizza for me, and a 12" Tribune for my wife. The setup is similar to Chipotle--pizzas are prepared in front of you and run through the oven quickly. They're ready by the time you finish paying. We also tried the boneless buffalo wings, which took a little longer but were delivered to our table. The buffalo sauce was super spicy--so spicy that we had to grab a side of BBQ sauce for balance. The wings aren't coated in sauce; you dip them yourself which felt a little strange. The kids really enjoyed their pizzas, and I thought mine was great too. My wife liked hers but found it overloaded with toppings, which made it difficult to eat without it falling apart. One downside was the freestyle soda machine. Several options were unavailable, which was disappointing because I love those machines (when fully stocked). Another drawback was the price--it came out to over $80 for lunch (including tax and tip), which felt steep. We did notice they offer discounts for Disney and Universal employees on certain days, but you have to show a work ID, which I didn't have on me. They did not greet us or even acknowledge us. The family of three in front of us took so long to order. They clearly had never been here, and the options are overwhelming, so I understood. I really felt like a bother to be honest, we stood there for almost 10 minutes before we ordered. After he helped the family, he chatted for a bit with the other girl. All in all, this is a really great place to get a customized pizza. It's neat because everyone can get their own combination and exactly how they want it. They are not the best price, we spent over $40 for two pizzas, a fountain drink and a beer. This wouldn't be the first place I go for pizza, but I do enjoy the customization. However, the employees' attitude is something that needs help. There have been a lot of restaurants built in the area, so I do think if they want to stay open and busy, they need staff training and they need something a little different. The pizza is good, but it is hard to compete with the chain pizza places that cost a lot less. This is definitely a place you go when you totally want to customize and want different ingredients. We decided for a garlic bbq chicken on one side and spicy red on the other side. The quality of the ingredients was insane! There was fresh Gouda, mozzarella balls, arugula, basil, two types of garlic, and just endless ingredients and options. You can also get some beers on tap! The crust was thin, but not crispy and it had no flavor. I asked them to mix the spicy marinara sauce with the regular sauce and that was a mistake on my part. The spicy sauce was too spicy for my liking and it overpowered everything else. Also, they don't give you reusable plates or reusable silverware; instead you get a paper plate and plastic silverware, which I think just makes everything seem cheap. Right before the kitchen off a little to the side, he takes off his street shoes, places them Up on something I couldn't see and puts on his work shoes. He comes in the pizza prep area bypassing two sinks, put gloves on and went straight to work. I kindly asked another worker please don't let him touch my pizza. The pizzas are delicious! Crust is a perfect in between thin and hand toss. We loved the crispy cheese pieces that were on the edges. Loaded with toppings! The also have salads, cheese sticks and desserts. Zero complaints on the food. It was awesome! The decor is black and white, NY "press/publishing" inspired. They've thought of every detail from newsprint wallpaper and pizza paper to creative station naming. I thought it was very well branded. I would have loved to give a five but I didn't love the "pickup" window. It felt congested and confusing at 6pm on a Saturday. They had enough staff that together could maybe incorporate a table number delivery system. It was also a little dirty. Again, it was rush hour on a Saturday but there was a lot of food in the floors. Several dirty tables that customers were wiping themselves to sit at. When placing my order at 650, I received an email saying my order would be done at 717. Arrived at the store about 715. I didn't receive my pizza till 8pm. 3 of 4 pizzas were not made correctly. Extremely disappointed. I understand it was busy, but there were people who ordered much later than us in the in-line pickup line that walked up and picked up their order before we received our orders. We were told it will be right up, but continued to wait and watch others pass us by. It would have been quicker to stand in the walk up line and ordered. No management seemed to be present. What a great addition to Hamlin! We've been to the pizza press many times and it's been outstanding. The pizza is delicious. The service is warm and friendly. Soda machine always works. Two of us went on a Sunday for lunch shortly after opening hours. No line; no waiting. Similar to how some other establishments operate, you can order a designated pizza listed on their menu -OR- you can build your own which is what we did. You select the type of pizza crust and size, then your choice of sauce, choice of meat toppings and cheeses, and then any veggie toppings you want. The pizza goes into the oven, comes out about 5 minutes later, and you pay at the register. Dine inside the lobby area, eat outside under tables with umbrellas, or take it to go. They also offer some draft beers and local craft beers and have a dispensing soda machine. I have not tried any of their other menu items. Only the pizza which has always been pretty good. I have been here before when they were busier but didn't have any wait issues or pizza disasters as I see some other Yelpers have reported. Maybe it's hit or miss depending on the day and time you elect to go. I have also not tried ordering ahead for pick-up, so I cannot comment on how that process may or may not work out. For anyone who needs a Vegan option, they do offer cauliflower crust at a price for the upgrade and vegan cheese as well, also at a cost for the upgrade. We requested a little extra red sauce and were not charged any extra for it. We took our pizza "to go" and headed over to a local brewery across the street to dine outside and enjoy the pub atmosphere under a covered patio eating area. read more

Went a little crazy with all the options but from the veggies to the meats to the cauliflower crust and even with it being delivered, it was a great pie. The PYO offers an array of options and the whole Italian seasoning, Cilantro and Basil on top of everything seemed to amplify the flavor. Not cheap by any means and not exactly a big pizza, but still, I thought it was outstanding. The concept is cute but that's about it. The pizza is small and thin for the price. First and last time there. Needs better management overseeing operations. While the young girl was making the pizza I ordered there was a long hair attached to the garlic. She just pulled the hair off my pizza and continued making it. I stopped her and said I didn't want it. The container should have been thrown out as well at at that point. Thank goodness I saw it. It was a Friday night, the place was kind of busy, but it was messy. There were a lot of people behind the counter, but they needed to have people clean up on the other side. They were out of wooden paddles behind the counter and using boxes. There were a ton of paddles by the garbage just piling up. Also, why wear gloves if you are going to touch everything around you, including the cash register and then food wearing the same gloves. They also offer build your own pizzas and some drinks on tap. I didn't give five stars due to the wait and the temperature inside of the restaurant.
