Went here with a friend and the food was fantastic! The prices were exceptional as well. The garlic knots were hot and delicious and I was surprised at how quickly I finished all of them. I appreciated how cheap it was to add toppings to my slice compared to other places. I ended up getting Zeppoles and our server recommended we toss them in the cinnamon sugar AND powdered sugar and my god was it ingenuous. The strawberry sauce with them was the best as it balanced the sweetness and I'd get that instead of the caramel. This is a review for your Winter Park restaurant. We ordered a Queen Deluxe pizza with no mushroom. We were never advised of a up charge of four dollars. The individual Greek salad had great taste. I further looked at the receipt and discovered a 6.90 tip on my receipt. I called the store and notified the person who answered the photo I was not pleased with the amount on the receipt but the pizza was excellent. We hung up. Not two minutes later , one of the managers called me back and said my husband probably hit the wrong button because the machine is set for a 20% tip. I informed her we do not tip on a pick up order. I'm really disappointed with our experience. When ordering our pizza, we specifically edited the options to say no oregano, which was the only herb listed in the ingredients. When the pizza arrived, it was still covered in herbs. When we asked about it, we were told it was parsley, which wasn't even listed in the ingredients at all. If something is included on a dish, it should be clearly listed so customers can make informed choices; especially when they go out of their way to remove something. We ordered take-away so I can't speak to the restaurant but the food was decent. I wanted a pie and was hoping for a different flavor. It's close to NY (maybe upstate NY pizza, but not city) but maybe it's the water maybe the sauce. Dough was spot on though. The size of a large pie was just right, fair price. It's good but having had a couple hundred slices of NY pizza that all hit the same even from different places - this missed the mark (but is still tasty). We got the garlic knots and they met expectations but our red sauce was darker than most I see and almost tasted like it was heating all day and we got the last scoop out of the bottom of the heating pot before they washed the thing. My wife and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat. We have not been to this location, but had been to others in the past and always loved their pizza. This location is a little different, you order at what appears to be a host/hostess stand, and then you take a seat. Your food is delivered to the table once it is ready. We ordered some boneless wings tossed in buffalo sauce and a pizza. The wings were delivered pretty quickly. We jumped in and gave them a try. I thought they were a little hard and not that good. After looking at them and how dark they were, I decided to take them to someone at the counter. They offered to re-make them. The new batch came out looking much better and tasted so much better. We appreciate how quickly they fixed the issue. For our pizza, we ordered the Brooklyn Buffalo Chicken Pie. We have has this pie so many times and will continue to get it. It is so good and just has the flavors we love. They made the pie exactly as we remember it and we were so happy. If we find ourselves in the area, we would for sure stop back in. read more

The food is delicious. The restaurant is clean and cozy. However, I changed my review from 5 stars to 2 because of the disrespect I received today from the young lady who takes care of the seating. I had a pick up order for pizza. It was raining and my clothes got wet so I stood on the rug at the door so I don't get their floor wet. The young lady gave me a very disgusting look from head to toe and did not let me finish my sentence, she walked away and went to the back. So I kept looking at the people who give your pick up but they were all avoiding talking to me except the other polite young lady who responded to me when I asked if I can pick up my order please and if she can come to me because I did not want to get the floor wet. I told her what the other did and she said oh ok. Im a regular customer and I'm a respectful teacher who just got her clothes soaked wet because I got caught in the storm. Why was I treated this way and I had to beg for my order? She thought I was dining in and dud not have the patience nor the wisdom to wait for me to finish talking and ask fir my pick up order. I am a big fan of their location on International Drive but when visiting Disney we needed something closer south. We were craving NYPD Pizza and decided to try this location. Unfortunately it is nothing like the other location. For one it's a lot smaller. If you are a party larger than 4, you are gonna have a seating problem. There is only one table available for parties larger than 4. Secondly, unlike what I assume is their sister location (and probably the original) which offers full service, this location has an odd setup. You stand in line to order with the hostess. Then serve yourself your drinks while you wait for your order. If you are dining in, your pizza and any special condiments are brought to your table, but that would be the extent of your service. The pizza is delicious, although missing something compared to the International Drive location. I think I it might be the other location's pie is slightly crispier, and I prefer it. The biggest issue you may have to keep in mind when coming here is the size of your party. Not large party friendly. But other than that, it's ok overall. Just a subpar experience compared to their other location. read more

Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding about our initial order (despite me reading off the menu and pointing to the item I wanted) and we received the wrong pizza. Rather than acknowledge their own mistake the manager determined we had to pay for the pizza. We decided to still order our initial choice and decided to take the other pizza to go rather than pick a fight with the incompetent manager. It's really a shame that a restaurant that makes such good pizza and has very nice servers is weighed down by such an embarrassment of management. I can't recommend this location to anybody with such a vacant manager. I hope they find somebody who can actually provide value as a manager to take their place before others have similarly bad experiences and end up leaving reviews like this one. read more

I'll start with the bright spot: the flavor. The fettuccine Alfredo was very flavorful. Now the negatives 1. You stand in line at the hostess stand to order. 10 minutes in line to order our dinner. An additional 30 minutes to get my meal, 10 additional minutes for my friend to get her meal. We were eating together, or so we planned. 2. Sat on a chair which tilts backwards making it very difficult to eat and get out of with my rotator cuff injury. 3. My $17 dinner was served in a thin plastic take out bowl. When I pay restaurant meal prices, I kind of expect restaurant service and actual bowls and glasses , not thin plastic bowl and styrofoam cup. 4. The fettuccine was steaming while I was eating it, yet wasn't hot. My only guess to explain this is that the sauce was hot and possibly put on cold pasta, making it all warm??? So there were plenty of workers, girls standing around doing dance moves, but they can't take orders or deliver sodas. But they can put a tip line on the bill. Thin plastic take out containers for bowls, styrofoam cups instead of glasses, I really wanted to give 2 stars but the flavor of the Alfredo sauce was probably the best Alfredo sauce I've ever had so I moved it up to 3 stars. One of the main reasons for my rating.. & the best part of our dinner was our interactions with the hostess/server DANI-- SHE IS PHENOMENAL! She was so sweet and delightful and had the best smile. Got this for take out after a long week. Opening the box you can see how good it looks! The pizza was properly made and was cooked just right. Nothing was burned and it was crispy in all the right places. The sauce and cheese was perfectly placed in every bite I took. The flavors really blended together to make this and authentic pie you can eat non stop. The cheese was gooey and the pieces were thick adding another level of texture. The dough was good all the way to the crust! It was a bit expensive but for the quality you get it's definitely worth it. Skip the other places and just go to NYPD Pizza! read more

We have been coming to this location since the day they opened with the original owners and never had a complaint. In the matter of week we have two. We ordered takeout and when we got home instead of meatball sub we got chicken parm sub. We called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was rude and didn't even state her name. Then this past Friday we called to do another takeout we wanted to order wings all flats and were told can't do that they are prepackaged. We have gotten all flats every time we order them. Which was a big slices. So we ended up going with the supreme. We subbed out the green peppers for red peppers. And then the mushrooms for banana peppers. Then we did a four count of the garlic knots. They said that delivery would be about 45 minutes, and they were right on the money! They were there within 40 minutes! We were staying at a resort, and the driver was super accommodating. He drove to the front desk and then met me outside. This is another location for the Central Florida chain of Italian restaurants called NYPD pizza. They have the signature pizza that they serve in all their locations including a giant pizza oven. This location was previously Gardell Brothers Pizza and Bistro Europa located directly behind the Hunter's Creek Ale House. We stopped in for a slice but unlike previous tenants where service was spotty, we were quickly seated by a hostess and the place was packed with families trying out the menu. Our server Bernadette was really nice and attentive even though we only ordered a couple slices. They have beer on tap and intend to serve wine that also comes in kegs but this was not tapped yet. Our pizza had a nice crust, plenty of cheese and a slight coating of oil. We paid for a sausage topping and it was plentiful. Bernadette said that a fresh pie would be even better but our slices were good. The kitchen was kicking out the food because a table next to us ordered a pie, fried mozzarella and some pasta and I was surprised and little jealous at how fast their food arrived. I am from Chicago and normally New York pizza would not be my first choice but this location seems to be up and running at high quality right from the start. We will be trying this again and they have a Tuesday deal,but a specialty pie get a free cheese pizza. read more

Where do I start? I was recommended by my partner to try this out. (She's from the queens). So you know I just had to check it out if it's a New Yorker certified! I got the BBQ 18" and when I saw that lovey beauty, I was in awe. I've been dining at NYPD Pizzeria with my kids for over three years since moving to Florida, and we've always found it welcoming with consistently great food. My experience today was not what I expected. The service and staff have changed, and the prices have increased significantly. Staff got the order incorrectly and questioned me at the table as if i was in the wrong. Where before i order at the counter before sitting down and they read my order and never had an issue. Kiddos enjoy getting their drinks now they waited so long to get their drinks, and service took longer than usual. Pizza was good (as it is at most NYPD's) but don't bother with this location. They were very slow with their service and asked for my name multiple time just to find my order. Then by the 3rd time asking they finally grabbed my pizza which was sitting there the whole time. I'll be visiting the other locations from now on, you should too. read more

I love the fact that I can order slices of pizza here, unlike when I have to order full pies from the national/international chains. I'm also from NYC, so being able to consume pizza like back home is such an awesome experience. I've even went as far as bring back a slice from Ray's pizza in NYC and compare it to the NYPD slice and it was gang-busters! No difference! Everyone employed at this location is friendly, efficient, and on top of things; New Yorkers for sure! I like how their menu items are named after NYC places/references and the decor only complements such cool references. I have yet to compare the Junior's cheesecake slice to an actual Junior's cheesecake slice, but every time I fly back to Orlando from NYC LGA airport, I always bring back a chocolate mousse cheesecake, so a fair comparison has yet to take place.
