I recently found myself craving pizza and my stepdad suggested stopping by Al's, explaining that it's delicious. Never one to take someone else's word for it, I decided to take him up on his suggestion and give it a try. The establishment itself is small and unpretentious -- orders are taken through a window and although it may have one, I didn't see an interior dining area. The staff member who took my order was very nice and friendly, and she was also patient with me as I perused the menu and made up my mind. None of that compares to the deliciousness I experienced upon taking my first bite, though! The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the cheese was savory and melty, and the crust was thin and scrumptious. The only reason I'm not giving Al's five stars is because their topping selection is a bit limited. If they added some more topping to their menu, then a fifth star would be a no-brainer. read more

So I come to Florida maybe once a year. And I always do the same drive from the airport to my mom's house. This time I noticed a sign. ALS NEW YORK PIZZA. Come on you know me. I had to turn around and get some. I ordered a plain and a pepperoni the standards. Fist above all the slices are humongous. Definitely a bigger than the average slice. Which is a good thing. The flavor profile was on point. Cheese and the sauce correct. . Just enough pepperoni . Nice flop . You can definitely stroll down the street eating a slice out of a paper bag. And that's how I saw them serve it to some. And the price. You can't beat that . Also they have Jamaican beef patties and calzones. Come on. Also very nice Puerto Rican ladies running the place. I have been coming to Al's for years and while the word nondescript can define its location, once you find here, you will return )and probably time and time again). The pizza is huge and pretty good and the price is amazing. A slice is $1.67 and toppings are only 60 cents each. Add to this that the slices are huge (like seriously big) and you have a true winner. Be warned, there is no seating, you walk up to a window and place your order and await the pizza, which you devour in your car or bring it to an appropriate dining spot. I usually get a few slices with extra cheese and when they say extra cheese, they mean extra cheese. Al's is nothing fancy, but it is good pizza and a great value. I strongly recommend a visit here. Just don't expect to sit down and enjoy it. But hey, hang in your car, listen to some great tunes and enjoy some great cheap pizza. You will be back. read more

I recently moved back to the side of town and on moving day we thought Al's Pizza would be perfect for lunch. Let me tell you, the service over the phone was AMAZING. So friendly and helpful. When I went to go pick up the pizza, they were just as friendly in person too. I love this place. The pizza is amazing, very large portions for a reasonable price. Good cheese to sauce ratio. My only complaint is that I would prefer some sort of flavoring on the crust. My friends from New York said this pizza was nostalgic for them and said it was the closest thing to NY Pizza that they have had in Florida. Would definitely recommend! read more

Sorry but I'm originally from NYC and this is not NY style pizza! By far this is the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Feels like your just eating thick cheap cheese. The pizza has hardly no sauce and it's salty. Good sauce and good quality cheese make the pizza. I repeat, This is NOT NY style pizza. I feel cheated! It actually reminded me of school pizza and everyone hated school pizza. Neopolitan Pizza in Haines City or Nick's Pizza in Altamonte are two pizza parlors that have that NY style tasty pizza. YUM!!!! Honestly some of the best pizza you can find in the Orlando area without spending a fortune. It doesn't look like much, since it's just a window service restaurant next to a closed down building, but sometimes the best food is hiding in the sketchiest places. So you pull up, park, and go up to the window to order. A large pizza is just at $10. And it's DELICIOUS. Plus they have a Bianca option, which I looooooove. I always like to give a bad experience another try. So like old times I grabbed the pizza combo which is 2 slices and a drink of your choice for $3.50. For a $1.00 each slice I added pepperoni. Still making it only $5.50. I waited almost 8 mins for my pizza but it was worth it for my cheesy huge slices. The cheese looked gooey and hot. I'm glad I gave them another chance because the pizza was delicious today. Something to note is you must eat it while it's hot. I notice when you let it get warm it isn't as good. I'm still not a huge fan of their crust but I did in fact enjoy my cheesy goodness today! Service was fast and friendly as per usual. This is a constant here. read more

Right off of John Young Parkway, this place has a fantastic special where you get two slices of cheese pizza and a can of soda for $3.95. The slices of pizza are the biggest I've seen in Florida. That being said two slices should easily fill up the average person. Now the pizza itself is pretty decent. The crust is definitely one of the best I have had in Florida. The employees here, are extremely friendly and you get your food relatively quickly making it an ideal spot for a 30 minute lunch break. The only negatives that stop this from receiving a five star rating is that there is no seating here. Also the sauce didn't really have much flavor. read more

Better than I expected! My wife told me about this place from Yelp. We ride there on our bikes. Pizza is good, but I really wish there was somewhere to eat your slices! We kinda know pizza...my hubby lived in NYC for 6 years, has made his own for 30 years, researches pizza joints and ingredients a ton, and we've done pizza tours in NYC and New Haven. I moved to Kissimmee 37 years ago. We have gone to Al's for many years. If you want real old fashion pizza this is the place to go. The cheese is gooey and stringy and the crust is nice and crisp on the bottom, not like the other chain pizza places. Just like I remember pizza as a kid (now in my seventies) Love them.....we moved to Poinciana 17 years ago, and still to this day if someone is in the Kissimmee area, they know to stop at Al's and bring home a pizza.
