The hummus appetizer was excellent and was easily the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and served with pita, cucumbers, carrots, and red peppers. The food presentation overall was attractive and showed promise. The most serious issue occurred when my son ordered a refill of his virgin mojito and was served a drink containing alcohol. He immediately noticed something was wrong after taking a sip and handed it to me. I tasted it as well and confirmed that it contained alcohol. Serving alcohol in a child's drink is a significant mistake and should never happen. We also ordered the steak frites based on a recommendation and were told it was exceptional. Unfortunately, the steak was extremely tough and chewy, making it difficult to eat and far from what was described. Management apologized and removed the steak from the bill, but the combination of excessive wait times, the alcohol mix-up involving a minor, and the disappointing entrée left a poor overall impression.

We were seated in a back room with a view of the lake behind. It was a bit loud but most places are these days. I am deaf in one of my ears so one I told our server & she spoke up over the noise and it was a non-issue. Appreciated because that's not always the case. We ordered a glass of wine and the "Shirley After Dark" cocktail (I know it's a wine bar but I just felt like a cocktail) loved it. Would absolutely order it again. We ordered the house salad which was far from basic and delicious and fresh. Very light and decent size. My husband also aired the Cauliflower app which was massive. The hummus was delicious. I can see that being bothersome on a busy night but we were there on a summer night (busy enough to run out of a wine) so I can't imagine it being typically worse than that So I say again, I don't understand what people don't like about this place.
