We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and were seated right away. Since they were getting ready to close, our waitress came over quickly to take our order, which was completely understandable. Despite the late hour, the service was friendly and efficient. We ordered a large pizza that was half cheese and half pepperoni, lemon pepper chicken wings cooked well done, and cinnamon sugar zeppoles for dessert. The pizza was absolutely delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. The cheese pull was everything you'd want from a great pizza, and every bite was fresh and flavorful. The wings were cooked well, but I was expecting a stronger lemon pepper flavor, as the seasoning was pretty mild. The cinnamon sugar zeppoles were the perfect way to end the meal--light, fluffy, pillowy, and absolutely delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend NYPD Pizza. The pizza alone is worth the visit, and if I'm ever back in the area, I'd happily stop in again just for another pie. read more

This place is conveniently located in the shopping center across the street from my hotel. And sometimes you just want some good pizza. The was very nice and knowledgeable. My waiter was extremely helpful in guiding me through the menu. The space is very clean. I sat in the bar area which is smaller, but nice with some TVs so you can watch the game. The garlic knots came highly recommended and they did not disappoint! They had the slightest crunch, were fresh, and smothered in fresh garlic. So good! They are $1/knot so you can get as little or as many as you want! They have a really good lunch special with 2 slices of pizza and a drink. I went with the classic pepperoni and it was delicious! As the name of the restaurant suggests, it is NY style pizza so they are larger slices. If you are looking for some great pizza and excellent garlic knots, this is the place! read more

Came with some coworkers after a meeting. The lunch special did NOT disappoint- soda, 2 slices for $6! Yes! And, delightfully foldable, with just enough crispy to the crust. NYPD Pizza is located in a decent sized and relatively well-kept shopping plaza with plenty of parking l. The staff is friendly and professional and the place has a generally good ambiance and vibe. NYPD Pizza offers a pretty good pizza and I have been here a few times and the pizza is pretty consistent. I grew up in New Jersey and I always pretty much took it for granted that great pizza could be found on pretty much every corner. When I moved down here to sunny Florida, imagine my surprise and dismay to find that great pizza, or even good pizza, was not available on every corner. In fact, it was possible to not find pizza in a whole time. So, when you find good pizza, it is indeed a reason to celebrate and what better way to celebrate than with a slice of pizza in hand? Thus, enter the Sandman: large Mariano add sausage (as an inveterate Yankee fan, I get the reference). Read the description of a pie with garlic, tomato, fresh basil and olive oil; sounded nom noms so there we go. 45-55 minute delivery. Less than 35 minutes later: ding dong! Delivery dude was very nice as well. I preface the pizza itself with the caveat that it was delivered rather than eaten at the restaurant. The crust was certainly baked toward the well done side and had a fairly decent chew for being a fairly thin crust. It didn't taste old; a lil dense but not doughy by any means. Slightly sweet note on the back end as well, so a fairly decent dough overall. Nice amount of toppings too. Queen Bee thought there was too much mutz on the pie; I disagree. The mutz was of good quality also. Had there been too much, then the whole mess might've flopped rather than pass the "fold" test. THAT would've resulted in a one-star review! Since we are only gonna be here another couple of days, it doesn't really allow much time to try other stuff on the menu or even visit them for a fresh slice at lunch. Every time we are in the Orlando area we try to eat at NYPD Pizza at least once. The service is always prompt, and the experience is always great. We were at a school resource conference this week at Shingle Creek, and stopped in for a salad and mozzarella sticks. Everything was great, as usual and the price was right compared to most of the Orlando area. It's a great atmosphere loaded with NYPD and other NY memorabilia, and it's a draw for local first-responders, law enforcement and other public services professionals. This is one of the Orlando locations on Universal. Located in a strip mall with lots of parking. Food (3.5/5) - had the Margherita and it was average overall in my opinion. It's NY style in ways but I was hoping it would have a bit more of a traditional Margherita taste. Wasn't sure if was San Marzano or not.. bit bland to me. Service (4.5/5) - very attentive and friendly from the host to the order person. Pizza from order to table in about 15 minutes. Atmosphere (4/5) - pretty good layout with tables and booths. Also TVs for evening snack and a beer. Overall (4/5) - it's a good spot and solid overall. There was no attempt to be understanding, no kindness, no solution -- just cold, rude dismissal. Let's be real: hospitality isn't just about food, it's about how you treat people. My wife is from NYC and I grew up in the northeast as well, so we know good pizza and NYPD Pizza was a letdown. We tried 3 different slices (pepperoni, cheese, and sausage/mushroom) and it was surprising how little flavor there was in the pepperoni and the sausage/mushroom tasted exactly like Domino's. We also had a side salad and the feta cheese on it was flavorless as well. This was unfortunately a disappointing meal and we won't be trying NYPD Pizza again. read more

Main reason for going here was because some yelper complained he didnt have cell service and that the restaurant didn't have WIFI. He also made a political comment. None of these things need to be in a yelp review. He gave the restaurant 2 stars based on those reasons. I wanted to check out the restaurant and gave it 5 stars. The food I had was great. Pizza was cheesy and the eggplant sandwich with fresh mozzarella and balsamic glaze was better than the pizza. It was a busy lunch when we went. Service was great and the food came out promptly. We ate here twice in one week. And they consistently awesome. The knots were crispy, flavorful (lots of garlic) and tasty. The pizza (Queens Deluxe Pie) had an even distribution of toppings. This one missed the mark. French fries were wonderfully seasoned hot and fresh and not greasy. Can't get any better than this for french fries. The garlic knots were the perfect temperature when it came out. The flavor was good tasted like garlic knots but not the crappy kind that's doughy or overly buttered. Came with a side of marinara sauce for dipping appropriately, this is some thing that I would definitely order again. Last but not least the Pièce de résistance Cheese pizza. The pizza came out hot, the dough was thin but not so too thin. We love NY Pizza, so this seemed to be the place. We were socially distanced inside while we placed our order (all staff/customers in restaurant wore masks). (Our Famous Cheese Pie, Shredded mozzarella, Italian herbs, spices, homemade tomato sauce.) with Italian fennel sausage. It was $15 for the tomato and cheese pizza and $2.50 for the sausage topping. My sister ordered the Soho Cobb Salad (10.00) Iceberg, chicken, smoked bacon, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, red onions, crumbled bleu cheese. So we went outside to wait at a table with an umbrella. They had about 4-5 of those and we got the last one. It was very busy. When they brought it out we were impressed! It was thin crust, and the sauce was great, the cheese and the Italian sausage really good. The Cobb salad looked fresh and she said it was delicious!
