Love this place and so glad it found its way to Williamsburg!! Have been here and the ones in south FL handful of times and have not had a bad experience. Food is amazing (definitely recommend the Chickichanga) and atmosphere is hip and trendy. Love coming here on the weekends. Though it gets pretty crowded I am grateful for the fact that they provide "get in line" option through their app and Yelp which helps against having to sit at the restaurant for an extended period of time. Definitely recommend!! read more

I love this place I go to Newportnews location as well the staff there are very nice and make sure you are taken care off . If you have a party of 4 get a reservation through the app other wise you will be waiting as they tend to have big party's. I always get the pesto chicken Quiana bowl and the kale tonic . read more

Service... incredible! Great value. Had and egg white omelette and my girlfriend had Italian wedding soup. Just fantastic. No booze but still great !! read more

Wonderful coffee, fun atmosphere, yummy food. I highly recommend using Yelp or their website to get on the waitlist if going on a weekend, because they get busy! I got the lemon-ricotta pancakes which were light arms fluffy with crisp edges and divine lemon curd on top with warm maple on the side. Shared an outset of bacon with the family who ordered Chickichanga and roast beef and Havarti add their meals. DD shared her potatoes, which were delicious arms I will get an order of next time. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely delicious ! Checked in online, when we arrived they said we had a 10 min wait . I sat down and my table was called that quick. Service was great ! All the food coming out looked so good . Can't wait to try the one back home ! read more

Don't bother. First visit was great. Today, blech! Coffee was brown water, lacking flavor. I was served a waffle that not only wasn't hot--it was so cold the butter served on top wouldn't melt even when I tried to spread it over the waffle. No manager checked our table and I had a hard time getting a server's attention. Replacement dish was first placed on another table and then offered to me (after it had been placed before another customer!) My server said "the waffles are always cold" as the mix is so thin that the waffles only stay warm for about 90seconds. Really! Waffle House and every other breakfast place has figured out how to get hot food to their customers. Next time I'll try them. It may be attractive and "upscale" but food isn't up to par. read more

Food was good and healthy. Best part of the dining experience was the customer service. Avocado lovers will like this place, but it's not for everyones taste buds. But if you are looking for healthy and tasty food then this place strikes the right cord. John from Williamsburg First Watch was very accommodating, especially since he had to wait on a finicky teenager. read more

I drove up for the day and stopped at the First Watch here in Williamsburg. I have eaten at the others but hoped this one would disappoint. It didnt. My server was quick and friendly. The manager came by to inquire but didn't hover. The food was top notch. read more

Great food and great atmosphere. I have loved getting to enjoy the Newport News location, and this one does not disappoint! The food tastes very fresh and yummy. I recommend anything off the specials menu! read more

Had breakfast this morning with outside seating. After it became apparent that no one was assigned to our table, we went into the restaurant twice before receiving service. One meal was served with an item missing. We had to chase down a server in order to receive a bill. Checkout was clogged with a single hostess trying to sit new guests and checkout departing guests. The food was excellent, service not so good. read more

This is the worst-managed restaurant in Williamsburg. We used the app and got on the list multiple times only to arrive and after waiting longer than the 30 - 45 minute wait that they were telling walk ins, we were told that it would be another 15 - 20 minutes. No eggs are that good, but if you aren't that hungry and have a few hours to kill, bring four people, because three-tops get passed over to fill the seats. I will never go back. Good luck! read more

This is a great place for brunch!! It is a little pricey, but join their breakfast club & you'll get a buy 1 get 1 free coupon! Their menu is diverse, and you can be as healthy or as naughty as you like :-). Soups, salads, fruit, yogurt, omelets, and traditional breakfasts with a slightly upgraded twist. Ie lemon ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and fresh fruit! Million dollar bacon (sweet and spicy)! Our waitress Marissa was terrific. Great vibe, too. Go! read more

Amazing range of breakfast and lunch food, with southern specialities and healthy options. GF available. Very helpful, friendly staff. Food prepared to excellent standards using very fresh ingredients. Great prices too. Loved the use of customer info and wait/call times via sms. Williamsburg's finest. read more

I've eaten here several times, and I really enjoy the food. It's very good, and very fresh! Wonderful options. The service is always good, and all of the staff seem genuinely concerned with offering an excellent meal in a welcoming atmosphere. So it makes me sad that I can only give 3 stars, because of the loud music. I would describe it as maybe 90's or early '00's Indy pop? Which I'm not opposed to, but it's alarmingly loud, and the speakers have awful feedback, so it's migraine inducing, especially cause everyone is yelling at each other to be heard. I love to have a nice business or friend lunch, but it is impossible to have a comfortable conversation. I'm not sure what the management's thinking on this is: maybe you only want young hipsters to eat there? I mean, I'm not old, and I'm pretty hip, but if you look around (at least at lunchtime) and observe the demographics of the diners, you will notice that it's a mostly older crowd. I just can't go back, because of this. :-( read more

This place was great for Saturday brunch. Got there at about 10:40 and they said the wait would be 30 minutes. The hostess took my phone number so I could be texted when the table was ready. It was exactly 30 minutes later when I got the text that my table was ready. I got coffee and the healthy turkey which were both great. Service was attentive. I would recommend First Watch anyone who likes breakfast or brunch. read more

this review is for this morning's visit . the good- the server was friendly. the bad - started with the app saying no wait and not putting us on a wait list yet 10 minutes later when we arribrd we haf a 10-15 minute wait. once we ordered we had a very long wait for our food and then two of the four meals were cold when they arrived the other two had eggs ordered over medium yet they were neither over nor medium. they couldnt have been runnier. all in all quite a disappointment. will give other restaurants in town a try before going back read more

My mom and I totally love this place. The wait is almost always a bit much, but it's always worth it to get quality, fresh breakfast and lunch items. Everything we've ever gotten has been delicious, and it's all well priced! Zero complaints, even about long wait times: It deserves to be as busy as it is! read more

We were really disappointed with our service and meal. I asked what they made in house and the majority of items were not made by them. The cold pressed juice was just awful. I did have a lemon curd pancake, which was one of the few items that didn't arrive pre-cooked and it was ok, but nothing special. I can make a better pancake with bisquick and Trader Joe's lemon curd. They advertise farm to table, but it is just not true for the majority of the food. The ambiance is quite nice though. read more

Good place but a bit pretentious. Like their Eggs Benedict, though. Coffee could use some work. Service was great. Enjoyed our breakfast

Delicious food, wide variety and plenty of choices for breakfast or lunch. Food came hot, service was good. No concerns, will definitely return. read more

Great place with fresh food for the whole family. A bit pricey on some items and you will wait during peak hours during the weekend. There is water and coffee available for those that wait which is a nice touch. read more

My husband and I have were so happy when the First Watch opened in Williamsburg as I have celiac's disease and breakfasts are very difficult to find "truly" gluten free in any area restaurants. My husband is an avid breakfast lover so First Watch is perfect for both of us. They are extremely attentive to my allergy and I have never had an issue with that as well as totally enjoyed every breakfast we have had there. With covid restrictions, they have gone "above and beyond" as far as social distancing. The tables are spaced out, the staff is masked and extremely knowledgeable in regards to sanitation. I have underlying health issues and am extremely particular as to where I go. They have protocols in place for waiting as it is a small vestibule and you can wait in your car and they will text you. All of these protocols work wonderfully, you just have to be willing to adapt a bit during these difficult times. I highly recommend frequenting this First Watch in Williamsburg. Sign up on the app and they will put you on their wait list, you can wait in the car, and they will text you when your table is ready! Enjoy! read more

Love this place. We use to drive to Newport News just to have breakfast and now it is so close. It is always welcoming and the service has always been exceptional. read more

Breakfast here is amazing. Plenty of healthy and traditional meals. It was also good for my 1 year old and the service is exceptional.

This place is the best place in Williamsburg for breakfast it is always packed hence why I gave it a 4 star rating it is always over crowded I feel this place needs to be bigger it's always a 40-60 min wait however we did download the first watch app and reserve our spots in line from home which makes it convienet when you only live 5 mins away but don't want to stand in a restaurant for 40 mins read more

First watch is an outstanding spot for breakfast, lunch or brunch. 5 star all the way!!! I was impressed with everyone from the hostess, the wait staff, to the wonderful cooks in the kitchen! I had the Farmhouse Hash and my wife had the SoCal Burrito. I am stuffed and the wife could only eat half of hers. A Morning Meditation and Blue Booster drink rounded out the meal. Everything tasted as if it just came out of the farmers market! This will surely be a place we will visit again and again!!! read more

I only come here because my wife and son like this place. Every single time we have heat in here there has been an issue. Twice there was no gluten-free toast available. Once, they brought regular toast and then when we reminded them, they brought cold hard gluten-free toast. I know it's busy and a lot of people like it, but the food is overpriced especially for the quality and service. read more

For a breakfast chain restaurant, the food was delicious. Big portions and great atmosphere. I didn't expect it to be this good because it is a chain restaurant, but I was very impressed. read more

Excellent place to grab a bite to eat! Greeted at the door, taken directly to a table. Wait staff was Sam and she was outstanding. The fresh juices were so good! We ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were large, almost the size of the plate with a topping of Lemon Curd and Fresh Strawberries. The syrup was warm!!! It was an incredible dining experience, the prices were reasonable, and we will definitely be back!! Whatever issues they may have had early on, they seemed to be solved now. Best breakfast we've had in Williamsburg. Service was good, too.

Love the food and environment and all the waiters and waitresses are absolutely amazing best place to go to!!!

My lunch was a delicious soup of the day (butternut squash) and salad, with a Pellegrino water. I will return and try a sandwich, hoping they have gluten- free bread, as most places have now. Didn't ask. I had to park in the pediatric area, no problem. Busy place. read more

Fantastic food always. Every time I've been it's taken awhile for the food to come out. Servers are friendly but don't seem to check in on the guests. Ever. Seem to forget about guests read more

I will start by saying that the food was delicious, however the service was really poor. My family went in to the restaurant for a late lunch not knowing that they closed earlier. When we got there the hostess greeted us and said just so you know we close in about 15 minutes. That was awkward and I urged my family that we should go else where, we really should have. My family really wanted to eat there as it's still new in town and they wanted to try it out. We decided that we would order as fast as we could. When our waitress greeted us she asked if we wanted water and said she didn't think there was any coffee left for us to have. In my waitressing days we just made some more, but whatever we got the hint. The waitress was mediocre at best because she was so visibly upset that she got sat so close to closing. At one point one of the staff members was even in the bathroom FaceTiming with someone, not totally sure if it was our waitress. I didn't even know that was something people did? Our food got to the table really fast and was really good. It's a shame that it was so yummy considering we will never return. Many of the staff members were sitting and chatting at a table close by as we were quickly trying to finish our meal. Our waitress says to the staff "how long ago did we close?!?" And then repeats it even louder, so loud that the other staff awkwardly look over at us to see if we heard her. Yes we did. I'm sorry that we came in to the restaurant 15 minutes before closing but as far as I've ever waited tables that's when the kitchen closes and you are a "closer". This is how restaurants typically work, at least in my experience. Part of me wishes we reflected her hospitality in her tip but we didn't want to sink to that level. read more

they are everything but basic you could tell this restaurant apart from every other basic breakfast joint in williamsburg. excellent service, cute modern decor, and delicious food! as uppity as this place may seem their prices are still bearable and not over the top, i highly recommend the 'million dollar bacon' & floridian french toast read more
