The host staff was short and unfriendly with our party of four and couldn't even provide a rough wait time. Service throughout the meal was slow. My water glass had lipstick stains around the rim, which was pretty off-putting. My father ordered a beer that didn't arrive until after our food, and by then we had honestly forgotten he had ordered it. We also weren't given appetizer plates before our appetizer was brought out. We ended up getting up and finding plates ourselves. The food was fine, but nothing memorable. Considering the prices, I expected much better quality. It honestly wasn't any better than what you'd get at a casual fish and chips restaurant. The waterfront view is beautiful, but it wasn't enough to make up for the service, cleanliness, and overall dining experience. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Sort of an odd beginning. We were seated at a two top with one chair and a couch with huge pillows scattered all over that left no room to actually sit. Had to toss them to the center of the couch to squeeze in. The menus are giant in size so it's hard to lay them down on the small table. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started off with a bourbon cocktail that included some candied ginger and was very refreshing. The server gave us each a small cube of bread and some butter. It was sort of comical how miserly they were with the bread. The menu offerings were sort of odd but we were able to watch what other tables ordered to make our selections. The entree prices are pretty hefty. We each got a Caesar Salad to start that was good. We both settled on the brisket sandwich (a July Fourth special) and one of us got the fries and the other a side of summer veggies that was squash & zucchini. The sandwich was okay but nothing grand for $21 and the veggie side caused us to both explode with laughter at how meager it was. C'mon folks, squash is dirt cheap so load it up. Absolutely ridiculous. Their wine selections were not super familiar to us and pricey but they give you an ample pour. The Inn itself is very beautiful and the night stars shimmering on the reflecting pool out front is very romantic. I'd recommend a drink at the bar and skipping the $200 dinner for two.

There were other things to give this dish, texture and color simply perfection. Theme t day, I got the poached eggs dish with roasted potatoes and a tomato salad. Perfect!

His entree was shrimp bucatini that he enjoyed but found the portion much too large. Service was outstanding, and my rather complex food restrictions were treated with respect and caution. This is just a wonderful place to dine, especially when you want a quiet, adult environment and be just a bit fussed over.

I selected their fish and chips (rockfish was the protein) along with red crispers and I replaced their coleslaw with green beans. Overall, the dish was really good. The fish was crispy and well seasoned and the red crispers tasted wonderful with their homemade tarter sauce as the dipper. I wasn't a big fan of the green beans as I prefer mine to be soft though. But I was plenty full with the dish overall. The reason why I gave them 4 stars was service for our group. It wasn't bad as we were attended to by the welcoming staff, but it was 3 total servers which was a little weird. One server was new and messed up some of the orders. And for one person, their dish came out a little different than how she imagined so she sent it back and paid nothing. Again, not bad service but much needed training for the new guy.
