Southern style fried chicken mac & cheese bowl

**Review is about the food from a carry out order** First thing is first, the WINGS were really good and the size of them make up for the somewhat steep price. Cheese fries were okay. The fried chicken Mac & cheese was a hit! The burger was good as well, we ordered just the burger with cheese. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner but it did feel like a bit pricey for American grill food

Went back twice in the last two weeks and had the same great waiter. He was kind and efficient , and apologized when things were taking a bit longer than expected. Food was all good, club sandwich, Rueben, chicken tenders, and the all you can eat crab legs Friday nights. They did raise the price to $56 per person, but I know food costs are going up, so now you know. The one item that wasn't the best in my opinion is the potato skins we ordered. A little overcooked. Greets place, especially if you like crab legs and can come on a Friday night.

Hot Dog and fries for opening day!

If you want to talk sports, go here. I had a job interview and sent an email asking if they would have the Cubs game. Michelle answered with a resounding Yes! So after my interview I went and within a minute Donnie the bartender turned it on for me. I enjoyed a great hot dog and fries and loved talking sports with the regulars in there. The Cubs lost but I still left smiling. If I get the job, I'll be back!

Sportsman's is a local watering hole that sports lovers and families can go and both are welcome and comfortable. We went on a Saturday night to watch college football, eat wings, and have a few beers. When we arrived the hostess had a hard time figuring out where to sit us so we could see the specific game we were hoping to watch. Once that was resolved, we waited about 10 minutes for a server, which we realized was because said hostess didn't tell the server she had sat us. Luckily from there, things improved. Our server was extremely apologetic, quickly got us some beers and a menu, and made up for the oversight of the hostess. We ordered cheese sticks, which we forgot to take a pic of because we were hungry. They were a great size, covered in a delicious marinara, and gooey cheesy deliciousness. I had wings and my partner had a burger. The wings were massive! Great breading, flavorful sauces, and plenty of bleu cheese. The burger was ordered medium rare and cooked to temperature. The fries were crispy and not soggy. Overall a great dinner, with a good tv view. You might wait a little longer than you would if you were to go to a chain restaurant, but the food is so worth it. We look forward to enjoying more wings, beer, and shorts here soon!

Feels like a hole in the wall sports bar, but being by Busch Gardens it's a go to spot and close to hotels!

Don't come looking to eat. All the food is pre-made and frozen. Nothing is freshly made. Yuck.

Ask the Community - Sportsmans Grille

Is it worth to go for the all you can eat crab legs? We have been to 21st Street in VA beach so there's that for comparison. They rock TIA

I did not go for the all you can eat crab night yet, sorry

I really tried to give this spot a chance…read more Overall, the hotel is great. The harvest Café is very reasonable. The pitchers sports bar is just disappointing on all fronts. On our first night, a Friday night, we arrived at the hotel with 45 minutes until the bar closed. Getting drinks was difficult, but it was near the end of the shift and, so I didn't think much of it. Luckily we had brought a few beverages with us and we went to our rooms and had a few drinks after 11 PM. As a sidenote, 11 PM is an oddly early time to close a hotel bar. On the second night, we arrived almost 2 hours before bar/kitchen close to have dinner and drinks. Nothing went well. Our server would disappear for extended periods of time... Presumably to bus food from the very distant kitchen to the bar. If the bartenders are going to double as Servers/bussers, then they should have more than two working a busy Saturday night. Eventually, a manager showed up to help for a few minutes, but he quickly left again. I had to actively flag down the other bartender to assist us at one point when our bartender was gone for an extended period of time. Even that took more effort than it should. If you only have two bartenders, and you know you're going to each be gone for long periods of time, then you should cover each other and check in on other guests. On top of that, our food took way too long to come out. We didn't get anything complicated, and the place was not that busy. The kitchen is clearly just slow. Eventually, our food arrived. It was decently prepared overall, but our friend ordered the beyond burger and made it clear that she was vegan and did not want cheese or dairy or mayonnaise. Despite this arrived with mayonnaise on it so she had to eat it with half the bun removed. The bartender eventually noticed, but at that point we were starving and she was already eating it so his kind offered to have them remake it didn't really help. The most concerning aspect was what happened to me the next day. I got the Caesar salad with the crabcake added. It had clearly gone bad. I had diarrhea for 36 hours afterwards. The only thing I had eaten earlier in the day was food at Busch Gardens, that I shared with others. No one else got sick so it had to be the crabcake. I guess it could've been the Caesar dressing, but that was for sure out of a bottle and less likely to be the source. And either case food poisoning During the drive on Sunday was not fun. I was still dealing with it by Monday morning as well. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the bartender was nice despite being overwhelmed, and he took 20% off of our bill because of the mistake made and the long wait. Eat somewhere else if you have any choice. The only reason to eat here is if Everything else has closed or you're just too tired to leave the hotel.

Now, I must say, the french fries are great!!! Theyre spirally and fresh tasting. I wasn't a fan of anything else. The "soft" pretzels were hard as all get out to the point it hurt my teeth to bite into them. Shame too because the flavor of them were good. Drinks were really good too, and the bartenders are willing to make any drink you ask. The best part of the meal... Our waiter, PEYTON! He is Truly remarkable, appreciative, down to earth, willing to help, and friendly. He even joked along with us. :) One of the BEST waiters I have ever met! Thank you, Peyton! The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of the food.

The menu also has so many food options, making it easy to find something for everyone. The food overall was great and very enjoyable. However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.

A group of four of us were excited to finally go to the new location of Oceans & Ale, and I'm sorry…read moreto say that we were disappointed. The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant's dining room was comfortable, and the bar area looked vibrant. Hopefully they are still breaking in their new facility, as we liked dining with them in their previous location.

We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 PM and were promptly seated. The atmosphere was fine, pretty open and unexceptional, but modern and new. Big screen in front of us playing the Sunday football game. Server was quick to get drink orders in, 12 oz. Commonwealth Modern 'Smores stout for $8 and my wife got a $16 Peppermint Espresso Martini. I appreciated the nice Commonwealth stout and the price was fine. The Peppermint Espresso martini was mediocre and very overpriced considering that. Our food took a long time. Like 3 apologies from the server long. There were 2 parties of like 10 that were in process when we sat so I get it. But I do feel like something should be given when it's 45 minutes plus on food. Anyway, on to the food.... My kid is not much of an eater and they did not have any type of kid menu. Ended up with a soft pretzel for $13. Add cheese fondue and it's $16. It was very big and delicious.... At $16 it's hard to be excited about it though. The cheese fondue definitely made the pretzel. I was not overly hungry and got She crab soup $8.50 for the cup and a Caesar salad $5. The soup was good, they add the crab on top so you can see they give you about half a cup and for the price it was good. Definitely not the best she crab soup in the area, but good enough. Caesar was just croutons, Parmesan and dressing and was fine. My wife got the "fresh catch" Chilean Sea Bass for $33. It was kind of fishy tasting. Fresh fish is rarely fishy. It was overcooked, horribly plated and the blackened seasoning had minimal flavor. It was bad. We asked for some tarter for it and it made it tolerable. The server offered to replace it, but having just waited 45 minutes for food we weren't going to chance something else, particularly since we were with another couple. While we were waiting I had 2 $3 special Budweisers and my wife had a $14 Snowflake Margarita. They were all fine. My kids sprite was $4 which feels outrageous, but I don't know what places are charging these days for sodas. I normally don't pay attention. Bill came with another apology for all the waiting and no discount. Tough to make it as a seafood restaurant when you are struggling with your seafood. I heard their seafood nachos are excellent.... Maybe I'll give them another chance for those. My first experience was not a good one.
