Rating this place a 4.5 stars! The food was great! Staff was so nice and knowledgeable for us first timers! There are lots of options that sound great here and we had a hard time deciding what to order! Which is a good problem to have! We got the chili to start and it was great. The crackers are super good with it. We also got the pork shank and mashed potatoes, which was fantastic! We do wish the drinks had free refills, that's the only downside. A great spot in a great location! Nice and cozy inside too. Highly recommend!

Nicely decorated and comfortable inside. Bartender was great - really friendly and made a good cocktail. Food was hit or miss on a limited sample size/one time experience. Reuben croquettes were awesome - highly recommend. But the chilli was totally flavorless - literally tasted unseasoned and super bland. I'd give the place another try if I was back in the area.

Great location in the historic Williamsburg area! This was my first time visiting and I ordered the warm honey ham and cheddar sandwich w/ fries. The sandwich was huge and could definitely been split into 2 meals. Regardless, it was delicious and very filling. The restaurant was pretty full for a Monday at 2pm. I would recommend if you find yourself in the area and looking for a hearty lunch.

I was surprised by this establishment. It was a nice evening so we got a table outside, which was very nice. They did put pork in a lot of their items, which made it a little bit difficult to decide since neither of us eat pork. My sister really liked her chili, which honestly could be a meal on its own. I tried the cheese dip with naan and it was very good. I was very disappointed in my corned beef brisket sandwich. I saw photos on here where it had tons of meat and looked great, but this sandwich barely had any meat at all. I actually took out all the toppings from one half and put it on the other, eating it as a half sandwich - and it wasn't very full still. My sister got the chicken Caesar wrap, which she said was pretty good. For a drink I got the Pimm's cup, which I felt was one of the best I've had. I even went to a Pimm's bar and this one I liked more. Would I go back? Yes! I would just not recommend the sandwich I got.

Popular spot, solid food. This place was packed on a weekend, but we were lucky enough to get a seat after a wait. Service was a a bit slow, but that was likely reflective of the dinner time rush on a Saturday night. I decided to try a beer that mimicked the recipes used in colonial times. It was delicious and very fun to try! The fish and chips were tasty. The fish was moist and the fries were fairly standard. For the price, I would have expected a larger portion. The space was a bit cramped and the chairs sometimes made grating metallic noises on the floor. But it had the charm of a downtown pub that more than made up for those shortcomings. Overall, this is a great option for a downtown Colonial Williamsburg meal!

Delicious pub in a fantastic location! Stopped here for dinner on my recent trip to Williamsburg. I ordered the roasted chicken dinner and it was good! Service was good! Loved the atmosphere! Portion sizes are literally insane! Would stop here again!

First stop in, in ages, and just like I remember. For me this was always one of the og spots for craft beer in Williamsburg. They have a respectable amount of taps (16) with local variety and also stock a pretty broad array of cans and bottles. This particular trip I had a 2017 Goose Island Bourbon County Stout. Also tried a couple sours and wheat beers in a flight a friend grabbed. Not a beer fan? They have a full bar and wine. Overall, feels like an upscale version of a traditional pub you'd see in a movie. Fits Williamsburg's vibe very well. Food wise, again pub style. Burgers and sandwiches, salads, and pub favorites - fish and chips, shepherds pie, bangers and mash. I went with the Stout Chili which was surprisingly large for a starter but packed with flavor. They also have a limited but cute patio space and last but not least, staff is always super attentive and upbeat. Definitely recommend.

DoG Street Pub is a bank-turned-restaurant located in the heart of Merchant's Square. It has such a charming atmosphere with a rich history! We stopped by for a quick lunch during our day trip to Colonial Williamsburg, and it was a delicious break from the mid-day heat! The menu offers mainly British cuisine like Shepard's pie and fish and chips, but I took the American route and ordered the chicken wings. I loved the crispiness of the chicken skin and the buffalo dipping sauce. My sister loved her Cesar chicken wrap, with her favorite part being the sun dried tomato/basil tortilla. My mom tried the Rail Sandwich, which is one of the most popular dishes at the DoG. She especially enjoyed the sourdough bread and the unique toppings on the sandwich! DoG is equipped with a full bar, and it also serves flavored teas/lemonades, San Pellegrino, and Coke products. What really made DoG a 5-star experience was the service from our waiter, Yusuf. He was really one of the most polite and enthusiastic people I've ever met! He told us the history of the restaurant, gave us an overview of the best items on the menu, and showed his commitment to allergy-friendliness when someone in the party next to us said she had an onion allergy. Yusuf was amazing, and I would honestly come back to DoG just to see him again!

They also came with fries or onion rings, funnel cake fries, and a drink of your choice. Two of the guys had the root beer and said it was pretty good. Now as for the dogs, the two guys that had the coneys were happy with them, although one was hoping for a little more spice from the chili, but it was by no means bad. The burnt ends dog was said to be pretty freaking good. As for the American dog, we'll that was a different story. It wasn't a bad dog, but it tasted like it had been boil cooked and not cooked on the griddle. Additionally, it wasn't really that warm. I guess warm is a good description for it. It would have been better if it was hot and you could see some cooking marks on it. Alas, it was and had neither. But again, it wasn't a bad dog, but it could have been much better. The onion rings were pretty tasty though, as were the funnel cake fries and crinkle cut fries. This night was Wednesday, so it was trivia night. At 6:30. At about 6:00 people really started to come in, and by 6:30, the place was packed. Guess trivia night is a big hit... The people working there were super friendly and you fealt as if they were happy to be there. I would have given it 5 stars, but tbe warm dog just brought my experience down a bit. But don't let that stop you from going there, because you'll probably have a good time with good food and good people.
