    Side Salad - Caprese
    Chris K.

Highway Pizza is a fun and relaxed pizza joint in Williamsburg. The decor is cool with a highway theme featuring road signs, cars, and truck parts. Be sure to check out the restrooms for their creative wash stations and unique trash cans. Now to the food. We ordered the caprese side salad, which came in a cute small bowl consisting of mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce with ranch dressing. It was refreshing, though next time I'll ask if they have a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We tried three pizzas, starting with the The Nacho Mama. We ordered a single $5 slice to share to taste. It had tortilla chips on top and was tangy. Then we got two large pizzas--one was the vegetable with fresh toppings. We especially enjoyed the juicy roma tomatoes on top. The crust was thin with a golden finish. Everyone enjoyed the veggie pizza. The final pizza was the cheesesteak pizza with garlic white sauce. This one was not a favorite of the table as demonstrated by so many pieces left uneaten. Service is friendly and cheerful. We happened to be there on a trivia night. They also have karaoke nights. These folks embrace having a good time!

No Alfredo and definitely no extra cheese!

Sooo unimpressed!! Ordered pizzas both with extra cheese and pepperoni one WHOLE pizza and only got it on half and neither had extra cheese. One of the pizzas was also supposed to have Alfredo and it didn't have that either. I do not recommend this place at all! Worst pizza I've ever had. I had it delivered and live 30 minutes away which is the only reason I did take it back.

The pizza is really great. The order was ready on time and accurate. The folks were all very friendly. However... Got home and realized that they had forgotten part of the order. They didn't answer the phone, called twice, left a message. Nobody called back. Finally stopped in three days later to ask for a refund and the bartender seemed utterly clueless about how to resolve the issue. Still very friendly, but really clueless. He ended up giving me a used gift card which had $2.21 more on it than my missing item. Cool... but not professional. The food was delicious. But the experience was... not great.

Great pizza and speed bumps! Wonderful service

Took my kids on a pizza date and this place is the perfect atmosphere. The turkey pepperoni pizza and speed bumps are legit!

We decided to give this place a try on a whim while driving to the outlet mall. We were originally going to Domoishi, but Highway Pizza looked really cool and their custom delivery cars really caught our eyes! There were so many tasty looking appetizers to try on the menu, but we decided to save that for next time as this was just a small lunch meant to keep us from starving while shopping. The thing that stood out the most to me about the pizza was the crust- it was soft and crispy all at the same time-absolutely delicious!

Cute decor, great music, and a decent menu. The garlic Parmesan cheese curds are enough to bring me back! Also tasty were the Mac n cheese bits and cheesesteak "Bump in the Road", cheesesteak rolled in dough and back with cheese. Yummy! Can't wait to try the other three meats in them. The only negatives were the pricing and that the kids pizza didn't have red sauce in it, but rather on the side in a ramekin.

This is a new place here in Williamsburg, VA next to the premium outlets. Our bartender who was also the manager named Madison provided great outstanding service. They have the standard beers along with draft beer from the local Breweries. Our drinks came fast and were super cold. As far as food, we had a margarita pizza with a side order of mixed wings. Sweet hot and citrus chipotle. Pizza was well made and flavorful. Weren't cheap with the toppings, no soggy dough and not messy. The wings were well cooked, meaty and the sauces were on point. All the food was well priced. With the pizza, wings and 4 big beers, I wound up paying about $50. This is on par with the Average price for any similar meal at an any similar establishment in the Williamsburg area. If anything, cheaper especially given the quality of food and service. Wife and I will definitely be giving this place a 2nd go. I'm looking forward to the birthday shots!!

Loved it!! Great pizza and fast service! The beer cheese was great for dipping crust. The restaurant was clean and so was the outdoor seating area. All the street signs are fun and add to the highway feel.

The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. The restaurant's dining room was comfortable, and the bar area looked vibrant. Hopefully they are still breaking in their new facility, as we liked dining with them in their previous location.

We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 PM and were promptly seated. The atmosphere was fine, pretty open and unexceptional, but modern and new. Big screen in front of us playing the Sunday football game. Server was quick to get drink orders in, 12 oz. Commonwealth Modern 'Smores stout for $8 and my wife got a $16 Peppermint Espresso Martini. I appreciated the nice Commonwealth stout and the price was fine. The Peppermint Espresso martini was mediocre and very overpriced considering that. Our food took a long time. Like 3 apologies from the server long. There were 2 parties of like 10 that were in process when we sat so I get it. But I do feel like something should be given when it's 45 minutes plus on food. Anyway, on to the food.... My kid is not much of an eater and they did not have any type of kid menu. Ended up with a soft pretzel for $13. Add cheese fondue and it's $16. It was very big and delicious.... At $16 it's hard to be excited about it though. The cheese fondue definitely made the pretzel. I was not overly hungry and got She crab soup $8.50 for the cup and a Caesar salad $5. The soup was good, they add the crab on top so you can see they give you about half a cup and for the price it was good. Definitely not the best she crab soup in the area, but good enough. Caesar was just croutons, Parmesan and dressing and was fine. My wife got the "fresh catch" Chilean Sea Bass for $33. It was kind of fishy tasting. Fresh fish is rarely fishy. It was overcooked, horribly plated and the blackened seasoning had minimal flavor. It was bad. We asked for some tarter for it and it made it tolerable. The server offered to replace it, but having just waited 45 minutes for food we weren't going to chance something else, particularly since we were with another couple. While we were waiting I had 2 $3 special Budweisers and my wife had a $14 Snowflake Margarita. They were all fine. My kids sprite was $4 which feels outrageous, but I don't know what places are charging these days for sodas. I normally don't pay attention. Bill came with another apology for all the waiting and no discount. Tough to make it as a seafood restaurant when you are struggling with your seafood. I heard their seafood nachos are excellent.... Maybe I'll give them another chance for those. My first experience was not a good one.

Exceptional! Our server Jaedin was terrific. We were there for a Monday lunch, can't speak to the dinner service. We also weren't drinking alcohol that day, though I thought the beer flights looked tempting. One of us had a cheeseburger that was requested to be "pink" and was overcooked and just blah. One of us had a chicken salad that was served with no chicken. Someone from the kitchen rushed out with a soup bowl filled with chicken slices that looked like those Perdue rotisserie chicken slices you buy at the grocery store. Dumped them on the salad. She did apologize. Our third order was a Restaurant Week special fried oyster salad vouched for by our server, Bailey, who was pleasant and efficient. It came with corn, black beans, mixed greens, cotija cheese and a spicy dressing. It wasn't awful but I think the overall concept was weird. Fried oyster taco salad? The few oyster pieces were tasty. Maybe we were there on a bad day, which happens. The chicken salad fiasco was funny. Not a place I would drive across town to try twice. Maybe stick to burgers and plenty of beer.
