Ambiance: 4/5- They stick with their theme of Highway with license plates and road signs throughout the walls of the restaurant. Even in the bathroom they have a gasoline pump for the sink! Food: 2/5- On Saturday's they have $2 off slices so we tried a total of 5 slices. The Margherita slice was so soggy overloaded with tomato sauce and then the mozzarella pieces were not even melted. Worst slice I have had. So much sauce I had to use a fork and knife. The route 60 slice was okay. Not much flavor. The supreme wasn't bad either, and the meat lover was also okay. The dill pickle slice was good. Service: 2/5- Our service was not good. Our waitress did not come to check on us and it took a long time for our food to come where a table who ordered 6 different meals just a few minutes before is, had basically finished their meals when we finally got our food. We ordered the caprese side salad, which came in a cute small bowl consisting of mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, and lettuce with ranch dressing. It was refreshing, though next time I'll ask if they have a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. We tried three pizzas, starting with the The Nacho Mama. We ordered a single $5 slice to share to taste. It had tortilla chips on top and was tangy. Then we got two large pizzas--one was the vegetable with fresh toppings. We especially enjoyed the juicy roma tomatoes on top. The crust was thin with a golden finish. Everyone enjoyed the veggie pizza. The final pizza was the cheesesteak pizza with garlic white sauce. The pizza is really great. The order was ready on time and accurate. The folks were all very friendly. However... Got home and realized that they had forgotten part of the order. They didn't answer the phone, called twice, left a message. Nobody called back. Finally stopped in three days later to ask for a refund and the bartender seemed utterly clueless about how to resolve the issue. Still very friendly, but really clueless. He ended up giving me a used gift card which had $2.21 more on it than my missing item. Cool... but not professional. The food was delicious. But the experience was... not great. read more

Highway Pizza is a fun place for a good pizza. Decked out in road signs and this, the place has plenty to look at while waiting for a meal. We stopped by on a Saturday and ordered fried pickles and two small pizzas. The appetizer arrived hot and quickly. The pizzas took a while even though the place was empty. The pizzas were good although the cup of bleu cheese on the buffalo chicken pizza would have been better on the side. The server never checked on us after dropping lunch off and we would have liked a refill. The food is reasonably priced and worth a visit. What an awesome place! We're visiting from Arizona, and we looked on Yelp to find a good pizza place. We saw the pictures on Yelp of the pizza and decor, so we decided to give it a try. And then there's the actual food. My wife had a hard time picking what to order--there were so many great options she wanted to try. She eventually went with the Nacho Mama Pizza (it's literally a pizza topped with tortilla strips, ground beef, peppers, and nacho cheese!). She loved it. My boys shared the Meat Lover's pizza and demolished it. I had a slice myself, and wished I could have had more. My daughter is pretty plain, and just wanted a slice of the cheese pizza (which ended up being the perfect size for her), and she thought was really good. I love spicy foods, so I tried the 6-piece, bone-in, Ghost Pepper wings. Wow! Some places claim their food is spicy, but it's actually pretty weak. Not these wings. Their Ghost Pepper wings really do pack a punch--not for the feint of heart. The only bummer part is they were out of the pretzel sticks. We saw a picture of those on Yelp, and they looked great. My husband and I have been here before and it was pretty good, it had been a while since we had been here. We ordered a large hand tossed pizza half of it was pepperoni and half was oh my veggie. The waitress came to see how it tasted. I told her it was not as good as it was before when we had been here. It wasn't very good this time. She told us that they had a new cook . She thanked us for the feedback that we gave. I only had one piece of pizza. Left the rest, it wasn't worth taking home. It was a big waste of money, a frozen pizza would have tasted better. I wished that I had taken a picture of it. We will not be back to this establishment. First off Page our server was a hot mess of a stress case during our visit. Us her only table of 8 seemed to overwhelm her from the moment she walked up to take our drink order. She was not friendly or professional. The place has the ambience of a Pep Boys mechanics shop. Nothing really remarkable or note worthy to talk about. The food can out in irregular intervals. As the entree fries and sandwiches came out first, 10 minutes later one of 3 pizzas, 5 minutes pizza #2 came out, finally pizza number three came out. We wrapped up Busch Gardens and were absolutely famished! The NCAA Sweet 16 games were on deck, but finding a good family friendly sportsbar in Williamsburg was a but challenging. I honed in on Highway Pizza as it seemed unique with fun decor. Thankfully, it was a great choice! It happened to be bike night so my son enjoyed seeing the bikes outside. This is a new place here in Williamsburg, VA next to the premium outlets. Our bartender who was also the manager named Madison provided great outstanding service. They have the standard beers along with draft beer from the local Breweries. Our drinks came fast and were super cold. As far as food, we had a margarita pizza with a side order of mixed wings. Sweet hot and citrus chipotle. Pizza was well made and flavorful. Weren't cheap with the toppings, no soggy dough and not messy. The wings were well cooked, meaty and the sauces were on point. All the food was well priced. With the pizza, wings and 4 big beers, I wound up paying about $50. This is on par with the Average price for any similar meal at an any similar establishment in the Williamsburg area. If anything, cheaper especially given the quality of food and service. I'm not sure what's going on, but this is the second time I've come for a DoorDash order and you guys are not prepared. You guys were on top of it before whether you were busy or not but now I find myself waiting for 10 minutes or more past the time it's supposed to be picked up. I tried the first time and had to cancel and I didn't wanna say anything but two times in a row in a week is ridiculous. The place is empty. Once you get that ticket you guys should start making the order because what you're doing is affecting us as Dashers we don't get paid that much to be waiting around. I hope you guys could do better. I haven't had your food the ambience is beautiful. I would recommend anyone to go there for a nice scenery and the location, but as far as the customer service and the kitchen, I don't know what you guys got going on, but it should be addressed. I shouldn't be waiting around that long for a simple order. And then what frustrates me-more is when the server is dishonest and tell me it's gonna be a couple of minutes. Just tell me how it is. Hey, we didn't start the order. We started on it now. I think the best way to explain it is if you're working by the hour, you wanna get paid for the hour that you work in each hour we get paid by delivery. I know it doesn't matter to you guys because you're getting paid by the hour, but you should be more considerate towards the people who are delivering your food and not only that we're all over the place we deal with hundreds of people a week at least for me because I dash full-time and you have become one of very few that doesn't have it together when it comes to these orders lately, at least be hospitable and honest about what's going on and stop hanging out in the back gossiping it's just a shame because you guys have a really nice place. We live in Norfolk but we drove up to meet family here for dinner. The evening started off okay, but then the waiter spilled an entire tray of drinks on our table, chairs, bags, floor, me, and a high chair, which included a baby. The kid cups didn't have any lids on them so liquid and ice went everywhere. He was apologetic because the baby started screaming (soaking wet and cold, who could blame him) and we told him it's okay it happens and he brought us some napkins. I cleaned the table, the high chair, my chair, myself, and my bag which all were covered in liquid. My sister had to take her bag to the bathroom and a drink spilled into her bag while we tried drying the baby off. A waitress mopped the floor. We did the majority of the cleaning. The staff did NOTHING else to ensure items were properly cleaned and not sticky. Our food was basic at best. The pizza was on par with a fast food type pizza although I've had better pizza at chain places. My salad was extremely small for the price. The kids meals are overpriced, as are their kid drinks. We ordered mozzarella sticks and the sauce that came with them tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave and their ranch isn't homemade (ranch lovers will understand that). When the bill came we paid it IN FULL (as in no discounts) and even left a tip despite the awful evening. While we were leaving we were in the middle of discussing how surprised we were that they didn't even offer us a discount or even a small plate of fries for the cold, crying, wet baby. But we would never ask or demand that from an establishment. However as we were leaving my sister plugged in her phone and realized it wouldn't charge due to "water in the charging port". My brother in law went in to explain that this was happening so they were aware in case the phone stopped working due to the damage the liquid spilling in her purse caused. They said accidents happen and they would not be doing anything to help and they didn't care. No here's a 10% off coupon, let's amend your bill, if it doesn't work come let us know, nothing. They were not apologetic, they didn't care, and did not even bother asking if the baby was fine. I will never tell anyone to come here or to ever support this business. But I'll tell everyone how horrible they were to us. Customer service goes a long way. Even with mediocre food I'd still return if the customer service was stellar. This place offers nothing for families except hassle and stress. You'd be better off going ANYWHERE else within a 1000 mile radius. read more

We are local, so we're pretty familiar with the restaurant scene in Williamsburg. We decided to give it a try for a late lunch today. It wasn't very crowded when we got there but it started to fill up when we ready to leave. We ordered appetizers... beer cheese and pretzels, philly cheese steak speed bumps and wings. Everything was excellent, with the speed bumps being our favorite. We first got marinara sauce to dip them in, but then Tried their Pizza sauce...chef's kiss good with the pizza sauce. We spent a little time chatting with the owner who was very friendly and pleasant. We will definitely be back to support this local business...and we will be ordering trays of the speed bumps for football Saturday's. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu and their pizza.
