I had "The Fit" omelette with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit. The omelette nor the potatoes had any flavor, and the biscuit was dry. Tip: The scrambled eggs come a little runny. This restaurant opened in February and we stopped otw out of town. It's conveniently located on Richmond Road next to the Hilton Garden Inn. The outside is nicely decorated with fresh flowers and offers some comfortable seating options while waiting. We called ahead when we were a few minutes away since it was Juneteenth and while it took a little while to answer, they confirmed there was no wait for a party of two. There are bench seats in the entry and we were promptly greeted. We only had to wait a few minutes while they sat the two parties in front of us. The entryway is a little congested with people checking in and then being called for tables. We had to wait until a couple moved out of the way but not a big deal. All the walls have peekaboo open window areas so you can see the whole restaurant. While we were waiting there was a TV in the bar area showing how they make various espresso drinks, handcrafted smoothies and hand crafted cocktails. There were two other TV screens showing pictures of food and we saw a few servers walk around with display tray of pastries that looked mouth watering. There is a variety of seating with booths, high tops, regular tables and bar seating. I really loved the decor and cute sayings along the top of the walls. We sat at a high top for two and our waitress Sheila quickly arrived water with lemons when she greeted us and gave us time to review the menu. We started with the sunrise meditation- Orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, agave plus a double espresso. I was really pleased with the sunrise drinks as I don't like overpowering ginger in my drinks and this definitely wasn't, very good balance. I had a skillet bowl which has breakfast potatoes with and onions and bell peppers, 2 eggs scrambled or sunny side up and choice of toast or potatoes. The Overload is topped with bacon, cheddar, chives, sour cream. The bacon was chunky like bacon bits, not thin or crunchy and there was plenty of cheese like lift your fork and twirl all the yummy goodness. Personally I could have used more chives and skipped the sour cream but I enjoyed it. If you are picky about runny whites, make sure to specify how you'd like your eggs. My husband has biscuits and gravy which came with 2 eggs which he had sunny side. The gravy looked a little thin but not watery and it wasn't floury like some places can be. There were two full size biscuits which were moist. My husband likes a little brown on his breakfast potatoes so they were a little light for him but the consistency was good, not hard or mushy. He also likes a lot of seasonings but salt and pepper is available in the table with jelly and butter for biscuits. I'm sure you could specify crispier potatoes if you're particular. the portions were a good size for the price. We saw a breakfast sandwich made in croissants that was a good size and the side salad had fresh mixed greens. Also saw some chocolate chip pancakes go by that looked really good. You could see they were using fresh whipped cream on top of drinks. Checkout is easy as the waitress brings a handheld device. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back to try some of the other options. Great variety on the menu and elevated from other pancake house type options available in Williamsburg. read more

Fresh look, cheerful feeling! The vibe was comfy with cushioned bench seating paired with chairs on the opposite side, booths with comfy cushioned seats, tables and chairs as well. Our server was great. The menu had many tasty options to consider. My husband rated it the best breakfast we've had out in some time (that's saying a lot from him). I absolutely loved my 'Burg omelette, bursting with all the flavors listed, sheer goodness. I remembered it used to be a seafood place and one I really liked, but I found out the same owner opted to switch it up & they clearly have a great feel for what clients want! No matter your tastes, you will find something to eat at The Brunch Company. Their menu is massive with plenty of options, plus they're good with substitutions. My husband and I got different skillets and split a smoothie. We had another person with us who has a restrictive diet and was able to adjust his order to fit his needs, and everything came out well. It is very packed inside. It seems like they tried to fit as many seats as possible, which has been helping with their wait times. We only waited 20 minutes for a table, our table felt tight and it was very loud inside. Overall, the prices are high for the area and it's crowded, but the food is really good. read more

The Brunch Company is fantastic. It's disappointing that previous reviews have nothing to do with the actual food. "Waiting" to be seated is normal. The ambience is amazing. This is a beautiful space, perfect for large groups or a couples breakfast. The staff is kind, professional, and attentive. The service was swift. After about a 25 minute wait (which is what we were told) we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. There is not a lot of room between tables but the place is clean and looks nice. A friend and I met here for breakfast and we had high hopes. They were soon dashed. I ordered an omelet and usually have to 'create my own' because I like them with certain ingredients. This has never been a problem at any breakfast restaurant, ever. But the server seemed very reluctant to do this. We finally settled on one of the existing omelets and eliminated one ingredient. It was a very awkward exchange. The food came and the omelet did not taste good at all. The swiss cheese had no flavor and an odd texture. The biscuit was crunchy and not hot. The potatoes had no flavor. I suspect that none of the food was fresh. My friend had eggs, bacon and a pancake. The eggs and bacon were good but her pancakes didn't have flavor and an odd texture. I told my server about all this and instead of just accepting the feedback he kept asking if they could make something else for me. I repeatedly said no and finally told him that he was making it more awkward by not letting it go. He didn't charge for my breakfast as he shouldn't have but that was about the only positive part of the experience. I hate writing negative reviews but I couldn't let this experience go unreported. read more

The food was overall okay. I got the croissant sunrise sandwich (which I think was missing the maple syrup drizzle) and it was good. One of my friends got the crab cake Benedict and had to send it back because the crab cake tasted fishy. She ordered something new and it took a really long time to get it, she ended up just taking it home. Two other friends got the Mexicano omelette and they said it was a bit dry. But my other friend got the pot roast skillet and raved about it. I tasted the pot roast and it was delicious, and I'm not typically a pot roast person. My caramel macchiato was good, but definitely not great. Our waitress was wonderful! She was so kind and helpful. Her name was Sarah. They were very crowded and it was pretty hot in the restaurant. We had a nice Easter breakfast here, the restaurant was pretty empty at 8am and our group of 6 was easily seated. Our server, Will, was very friendly and attentive and we tried out a variety of their waffles, pancakes and French toast. They had a nice assortment of brunch-y cocktails as well as smoothies, egg dishes, etc as well on the menu. The ambience was bright and clean, playing oldies and with lots of color on the walls. The food was really tasty, we had the berry bliss French toast, cinnamon roll French toast, a couple regular waffles and the pistachio cream pancakes. All the dishes were good, but I especially liked the pistachio pancakes which had a good nutty sweet flavor that I've never experienced before. The berry French toast was also really good with a ton of berries and a layer of sweet cream between the slices. This was a great place to start the day! read more

Pretty mediocre food to be frank. Potatoes are undercooked. They use canned ingredients they don't use fresh ingredients here. I know they used canned mushrooms in my pot roast bowl , the biscuits were 100% canned prepared biscuits. They serve pancakes eggs and meat one the SAME plate and have the nerve to serve whipped cream NEXT to your eggs. Everything was executed poorly. My aunt ordered banana crunch French toast, you'd think the crunch was from sliced almonds or a nut, no they're topping it off with Frosted Flakes. Just weird overall. They offer a combo pancake meal but you cannot pay an up charge to change the flavor of pancake. If you want specialty pancakes with egg and side you will have to order everything separately. My friends and I went to this restaurant looking forward to a new place. We had heard mixed reviews and wanted to try something new. We were greeted warmly and were seated right away. We were 5 people. The room we were seated in was very loud with chatter from every other table. Even the server had a hard time hearing us. We ordered our food. When it arrived, 4 of us got our meals but the meal with no cooking involved wasn't served until 5 minutes later. In addition my eggs and biscuit were not warm at all and one friend said her potatoes were not warm. One woman did say the Eggs Benedict was delicious. One person ordered tea and was told they had the standard Orange Pekow - no other options from a brunch place?? One friend was upset as there was only grape jelly as an option. No other flavors were served. The server seemed very rushed and we had to ask for refills on the coffee 4 times. But the most insulting issue was each of us being handed our bill while we were about half way through the meal. It was probably around 1:15. While I recognize the restaurant was closing at 2:00, the server stood at the table waiting to process our payment. We had not finished eating nor did we give her any indication that we were leaving. I was so taken aback. We paid the bill and left as soon as we were done. That left us feeling rushed and upset after looking forward to enjoying our food and our time together. You could barely have a conversation sitting at the table, so the ambience is just ok Our waitress was very good very attentive no problems there. I think the main thing is the problem with the food. Maybe it's strictly more of a breakfast place but we had fish and chips and a Caesar salad. whoever put that salad together did a terrible job they must've had at least a half a cup of salad dressing. It was drenched in it. I had also to top it off some crispy chicken, the crispy chicken. It was extremely dry my husband's fish and chips. He said the fish was mushy so we weren't impressed at all. Three days ago I came with a few coworkers and our server Christina was wonderful. Food was good. The manger came over and was very friendly and cordial. We enjoyed the visit. Fast forward 3days later. I decided to bring my kids with me to have breakfast prior to them leaving back to college. I boasted about how good it was...but then it happened. We sat down and waited almost 10 minutes and still no one acknowledged us. A party of 4 sat down after we did and already had their dinks and orders taken. Fortunately I saw the waitress that took care of me on my first visit and asked her if she could help find or serve. She apologized went to the front manger to find out who was managing our table. While they were trying to figure it out, Christina jumped in and stared taking our drink order. I thank Christina for her service and saving this visit. We understand how busy it can get especially on a Saturday, we were very patient, things happen. The team should be more vigilant in the dining room if a patron has been sitting a while without any acknowledgment or service. read more

I was lured by Eggs Benedict. Don't judge. When you live in the middle of the corn-fruited plains of the midwest, small town cafes don't always go for high-falutin' stuff like Eggs Benedict. So... you try as many spots as you can while on vacay. The place was upbeat, clean, busy, and had a vibrant bar -- even at 10 in the morning. Husband said the coffee was good. I ordered hot tea and received one of those annoying metal "tea pots" that tends to leak every time you try to pour. The waitress, though, was quick to refill the pot so I could enjoy more than one cup. The Benedict was one of several they offer. I gor the traditional. It was good. It wasn't amazing. The English muffin was somewhat soggy and the Hollandaise was screaming for a bit more of that sharp flavor you expect. The bacon was very good. My husband liked his omelette. Good food. We saw lots of plates of food being delivered that looked amazing. Would've liked to take a pastry or cinnamon roll to go, but were traveling all day by car and it would've been messy. Worth a try. Met a friend here for lunch. The space is bright and inviting, the staff and servers were attentive, welcoming and friendly. For this being newly opened a little patience is helpful. The food I ordered was well seasoned, prepared and very delicious. I must admit having a food allergy makes ordering challenging so being able to have a staff that listens is not only imperative but very appreciated. I do recommend trying it out. New place opened up about a month ago. Great menu for breakfast and lunch options. Great vibe inside. Full bar for breakfast cocktails and espresso drinks. Barista was fantastic and coffee drinks came out fast and with an artistic flair. I had pancakes and eggs which were great. Sausage links were better than the patties. My wife and daughter got the chicken and waffles. Chicken was AMAZING! TIP: chicken & waffles/chicken & Pancakes come with a cheese sauce - DON'T get the cheese sauce : tell them to hold it or put it in the side. It doesn't need any cheese. Chicken was perfect without it and the "cheese sauce" is just cheez whiz. My family were really happy they held off on the cheese sauce as the food was amazing without it. Seating tip: they have additional bench seating if you're waiting for a table opposite the bar. Many people missed that and crowded by the front door. Busy on Sunday morning by 9:30.
