No matter your tastes, you will find something to eat at The Brunch Company. Their menu is massive with plenty of options, plus they're good with substitutions. My husband and I got different skillets and split a smoothie. We had another person with us who has a restrictive diet and was able to adjust his order to fit his needs, and everything came out well. It is very packed inside. It seems like they tried to fit as many seats as possible, which has been helping with their wait times. We only waited 20 minutes for a table, our table felt tight and it was very loud inside. Overall, the prices are high for the area and it's crowded, but the food is really good.

The absolute best food I've ever eaten in my life, my mouth is in heaven. I am really really pleased with the service as well. I got the Dulche De Leches pancakes and they did NOT disappoint 1000000000000/10. The Ambience of the restaurant makes me feel right at home. I love this place so much. My server was Lizzy, she was amazing.

The food was overall okay. I got the croissant sunrise sandwich (which I think was missing the maple syrup drizzle) and it was good. One of my friends got the crab cake Benedict and had to send it back because the crab cake tasted fishy. She ordered something new and it took a really long time to get it, she ended up just taking it home. Two other friends got the Mexicano omelette and they said it was a bit dry. But my other friend got the pot roast skillet and raved about it. I tasted the pot roast and it was delicious, and I'm not typically a pot roast person. My caramel macchiato was good, but definitely not great. Our waitress was wonderful! She was so kind and helpful. Her name was Sarah. They were very crowded and it was pretty hot in the restaurant. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't go back.

The Brunch Company is fantastic. It's disappointing that previous reviews have nothing to do with the actual food. "Waiting" to be seated is normal. The ambience is amazing. This is a beautiful space, perfect for large groups or a couples breakfast. The staff is kind, professional, and attentive. The service was swift. We arrived around 9:30AM on a Sunday and was seated immediately. By 10:30AM, there was a wait. The food is delicious - farm fresh. Their pastries are fresh and delicious. Not overly sweet or rich. This is an upscale version of all the local pancake houses while also being very relaxed.

After about a 25 minute wait (which is what we were told) we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. There is not a lot of room between tables but the place is clean and looks nice. We ordered and our food came in a reasonable amount of time. The food was really good. We also took a cinnamon role to go which was very good.

We had a nice Easter breakfast here, the restaurant was pretty empty at 8am and our group of 6 was easily seated. Our server, Will, was very friendly and attentive and we tried out a variety of their waffles, pancakes and French toast. They had a nice assortment of brunch-y cocktails as well as smoothies, egg dishes, etc as well on the menu. The ambience was bright and clean, playing oldies and with lots of color on the walls. The food was really tasty, we had the berry bliss French toast, cinnamon roll French toast, a couple regular waffles and the pistachio cream pancakes. All the dishes were good, but I especially liked the pistachio pancakes which had a good nutty sweet flavor that I've never experienced before. The berry French toast was also really good with a ton of berries and a layer of sweet cream between the slices. This was a great place to start the day!

When we were visiting our son we stopped here twice for breakfast. We were not disappointed!!! Our waitress, Kristi was incredible sweet and attentive! The food was SO good, and we are tough sells! We got the cinnamon roll (to die for, it kept for days, even on our trip to Alabama) and the Mediterranean breakfast bowl. We will be back soon!

However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.

The "chilli eggs" were great. The lamb was so good we saved half just so we could have it later in the day. The lattes were solid, too. For a place where you have to wait in line to pay and have your food brought to you, it is not cheap. But the prices don't feel like you're being gouged either. Just don't expect to get out of there with two people and pay $30 dollars. It will not happen. Also, don't expect quiet. This place is loud. Small rooms with lots of chairs and nothing to cushion the noise. My perfect visit: 1. Have someone order the food and find seating. 2. You go to the dessert place a few doors down and get a medley of treats. 3. If you're two people, order three things and share a bit of each. 4. When you're almost done, order two coffees to go then sit back down. 5. Someone will bring you your coffees and you can walk out with drinks in hand and snack on chocolate covered items as you walk back to your car. 6. Complain that you should have gotten the large coffee and didn't ask for napkins so your fingers are a bit sticky. 7. Drive contentedly home and talk about what your favorite thing was. 8. No, no one is nice about merging back onto that highway, but that's not Hohl's fault.

Nothing wrong with this little grab-and-go carry out shop but at the same time, I wouldn't call it anything ahhhhmazzzzinggggg that would warrant more than just an average 3 star rating. Better than and more options than a hotel lobby self serve "mini mart." They serve self serve coffee (Members, don't forget to ask for your complimentary daily coffee tickets upon check-in!) but this place also has a barista for hot or iced lattes. Decent lattes, thankfully made with espresso shots not watered down or weak & wimpy. On par with what you would get at Starbucks. The latte menu is NOT extensive so don't expect a long latte/coffee drink menu like at Starbucks. I posted a pic of the latte/tea/juice/bfast sando menu with prices so have a look. Staff is SUPER NICE but both times I was there getting a hot latte, there was ONE WORKER each time running cash AND barista-ing. Not many more can fit behind that tiny ordering counter frankly. Thus - if you see any kind of long line, BE PREPARED TO WAIT. Or come back during non-rush hours. (Remember this is a conference center so it is highly likely conference attendees will be lining up to order before the start of the conference day and in between sessions throughout the day!) I read on their website that all their baked goods and pastries as well as sandwiches, salads etc are freshly house made there on prem so that's nice. Prices are not break the bank (for a hotel). My small hot vanilla latte was $7. Like I said - as a hotel lobby grab-and-go so you don't have to walk far or drive to get your latte-fix on, The Cupboard is right-there-convenient and will absolutely do just fine. If you DO feel like going off the property to go to an indie coffee shop, I drove to and tried the relatively new Grit Coffee in Midtown for the first time - pretty good (read my review and see my pics): Or go to the ever-famous Aromas in CW near the William&Mary campus, an OG legend which imo is overhyped but still a good option - parking can be a pain, frankly better to walk there from the hotel (it's prob a 20 min walk to Aromas but you walk straight down beautiful CW - on a nice day, can't beat that.).

She was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our evening special. I mentioned wanting a cocktail with strawberry purée, and instead of just offering the menu options, she actually spoke with the bartender about a few custom ideas. Whatever magic they created did not disappoint. The drinks were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and honestly tasted like summer in a glass. For appetizers, we ordered the tomato & burrata and the tuna crispy rice. The tomato & burrata was AMAZING. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the pesto was vibrant and flavorful, and the presentation looked like something out of a food magazine. The tuna crispy rice? I could happily eat that every single day without complaint. Crispy, flavorful, and completely addictive. Our entrée was the prime ribeye, and I can honestly say it was the best steak I've ever had. Cooked perfectly, seasoned beautifully, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We also ordered sushi, which was beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing as it looked. To top everything off, the staff surprised us with two flutes of champagne and an anniversary dessert complimentary. Such a thoughtful touch that made the night feel even more special. The drinks were very good, so hats off to the bar staff. The first time we went we tried a variety of things but the star of the whole meal was an appetizer. The bone marrow with wagu was so original and fantastic, but so rich. The burrata was a little flat compared to the bone marrow but we will let that slide. Dinner was sushi for my wife and steak for myself. The sushi at this place is some of the freshest you can find, I have only had better in Vegas as Michelin star restaurants. The surf and turf roll is amazing but expensive (the first time), second visit not so much. Someone has forgotten how to season the steak at this place. This happened to my steak on the first trip, my steak had no seasoning. For such an expensive place, I should not be needing to season anything. The deserts were very good but the steak issues have me questioning a return. The first visit everything but the my dinner steak was great, the roll with steak was seasoned well but not on the second visit. There is inconsistency here or maybe they are falling pray to people in Williamsburg not enjoying seasoning. I have experienced this was some very well reviewed places before here in Williamsburg. I am keeping my review high as the sushi is first rate but expensive, it might as well be Vegas prices. The steak needs love but I am not going to let that dim the excellent sushi, apps and bar drinks. Overall good experience but minor disappointment from the seasoning issues, should be an easy fix though.
