This cafe looked so eclectic and unique on the inside that I knew I had to visit! There was so much art and random decor on the walls, I loved it! The decor alone, is enough reason to stop in. Now for the food, it was mediocre. The waiter was so excited for me to try the waffle but when I expressed that it was just okay, me and my friend were instantly offered pastries to try. The customer service was excellent and I look forward to coming back to try a different dish!

Great vibe, food has a nice twist on traditional items... our waitress was great, full of energy and suggestions!!! Coffee was delicious!

Yum, Yum,Yum! Stopped in soon after they had opened on a Saturday morning to grab some baked goods for breakfast. All of them were delicious! We tried an almond croissant (flakey and light) a homemade blueberry poptart (if those packaged ones were anywhere close to this good, they would be a shortage) and crumb cake (nice strudel topping) Service was excellent and I believe the owner helped me. Since it was still sort of quiet we had a nice conversation before I checked out. Inside there are a good amount of tables to sit and enjoy breakfast or lunch. It is also has a high ceiling, so it feels nice and large inside.

Typical college coffee café. Eclectic atmosphere with concrete floors, distressed walls, exposed ventilation. Sit on the couch and eat if you want.. I had the eggs breakfast. Nice presentation, but the eggs were runny. The people are very sweet. Looking for a social hangout - this would work as a cool funky kind of place.. need a better menu.

Very cute spot with a fun vibe. Love the mugs (you don't know which one you will get - surprise!). Menu is filled with comfy food options, and the coffee drinks are so creative. Had a great time!

such a cute and cozy cafe, it reminds me of my childhood. we did sit and wait around 8 minutes before we were greeted, it was a busy morning with one server in so i get it. When another server came in she greeted us and started us off with lychee and lime sodas, it was so tasty. we shared the poor man's charcuterie board and the tangy mustard jam was to die for, i wish we could've bought a jar of it! i got a ham and cheese frittata, it was decent i wish there was more ham. the culture burger was very good! everything about it paired so well together.

One of my absolute favorite breakfast/brunch spots in Williamsburg. With a plethora of pancake houses and breakfast joints along Richmond road, look no further than this quaint little cafe on Scotland Street. All of the food is freshly made and they have an intriguing assortment of drinks made fresh. I ordered a cappuccino and the French toast. I will admit, at first the French toast seemed dry. I gave it a chance though. Diving into it, it was a scrumptious delight. The combo of fruit, syrup and fresh bread truly can't be beat at the run of the mill pancake house. It is a fun atmosphere and nice spot to grab a Sunday brunch!

Let's start with the positives... the staff was so kind and very attentive and we were seated immediately. There was water on the table - basically serve ourselves - no ice and it was room temp and we weren't offered any ice. I had no idea that we had arrived an hour before the restaurant was going to close earlier for a special event. Unfortunately because of this, it left us completely underwhelmed. Ordered the tomato soup... it was lukewarm. The meatballs were lukewarm. I was super excited about the beef tips and rice - it came on a hot, iron skillet - a tasty dish. Food was tasty, but it was served lukewarm and I even felt a bit queasy after the meal. The food just did not sit well with my husband and had ended up feeling very queasy after our meal. I had high hopes for this place especially because the reviews were so great. There are a lot of eats in the area and it's not often we dine out, so we will most likely not be coming back. Even though this place wasn't for us, I am not going to say it might not be for others. Sadly, I broke my own rule by going there too late (just before they closed)... that was probably part of the problem.

check out @ ! i was immediately in a trance because of all the decor. it truly reminds of alice in wonderland and the mad hatters house. our waitress was very friendly as well so it made the experience that more pleasant. our drinks: caramel hazelnut latte with almond milk app: 5 deviled eggs (topped with smoked trout + paprika) breakfast: house made bagel (smoked salmon, cream cheese & tomato red onion relish) : culture cafe : $ rating: 4/5 - indoor + outdoor seating williamsburg, va. eat well, sasha @foodxcafecito

Wow! We had a fantastic experience today for a late lunch.. Cocktails were fabulous, we tried the cappuccino martini & the chai old fashioned. Unbelievably smooth! Thegrain bowls were tasty (one with tofu and the other with chicken Tikka), bakery items we tasted were fantastic. Sausage roll, olive bread and other freshly baked breads to include bread donuts (everything bagels) Staff were very friendly, kind. This was a beautiful coffee shop, had outdoor seating (unfortunately it was pouring heavily, so we couldn't enjoy that) and they sent tastings to our table, while we waited for food. Menu had great food options, Cocktails menu was super interesting and several coffee options. Highly recommend! I'll be back! Definitely worth the detour off I-95

Culture Cafe has a fun vibe and interesting food. The decor is unique with a mix of plush furniture and wood tables. We ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken tikka spicy bowl, a strawberry blonde coffee, and a blackberry tea. The chicken and waffles was delicious! The spicy bowl was huge and definitely spicy, the blackberry tea was too sweet for my taste. The atmosphere is fun and the service is excellent. We'll come back.

    Salmon Bowl

The Salmon bowl with roasted veggies was immaculate. Our waitress, Sarah, was also phenomenal.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I cannot stress how great this place is. They were super dog friendly and even gave our dog some goodies while we dined outside. Service was spectacular and they were very attentive and kind. The chef even came out to greet us. We got the culture burger, braised pork bowl, chicken and waffles, Frankie goes to Bollywood, and fried cheese curds. Everything hit the spot and their portions are huge! Overall such a wonderful experience and I hope everyone enjoys dining here as much as I did!

Grab a quick baked good or stay a while.

    Are there any vegan options?

Yes! The Summer Gazpacho and the Cous Cous Salad are both vegan, and there is sometimes a vegan chocolate pie for dessert. As well, on Saturdays (I think) there's a tofu bowl special for dinner. Any of the coffees can be made with almond or soy… Read more

We weren't sure where the restaurant was located within the building so we stopped to ask where the Terrace a room was at a hostess stand where three women were working. They all stared at us like we had dropped from the sky and then one woman gestured down the hall. Except it wasn't down the hall. We were in fact at the Terrace Room hostess stand. Sort of an odd beginning. We were seated at a two top with one chair and a couch with huge pillows scattered all over that left no room to actually sit. Had to toss them to the center of the couch to squeeze in. The menus are giant in size so it's hard to lay them down on the small table. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started off with a bourbon cocktail that included some candied ginger and was very refreshing. The server gave us each a small cube of bread and some butter. It was sort of comical how miserly they were with the bread. The menu offerings were sort of odd but we were able to watch what other tables ordered to make our selections. The entree prices are pretty hefty. We each got a Caesar Salad to start that was good. We both settled on the brisket sandwich (a July Fourth special) and one of us got the fries and the other a side of summer veggies that was squash & zucchini. The sandwich was okay but nothing grand for $21 and the veggie side caused us to both explode with laughter at how meager it was. C'mon folks, squash is dirt cheap so load it up. Absolutely ridiculous. Their wine selections were not super familiar to us and pricey but they give you an ample pour. The Inn itself is very beautiful and the night stars shimmering on the reflecting pool out front is very romantic. I'd recommend a drink at the bar and skipping the $200 dinner for two.
