Discovered this indie coffee shop in Williamsburg near Busch Garden exit off Merrimac when I was down for a brief visit and OMG - BIGGGGG LOVE!!! So much to love about this new discovery besides the fact that it's NOT a Starbucks lol and for those that know me, you know I love and love to support and discover tucked away indie coffee places (see my reviews!). This place is also a roastery and sells their own bean blends. I don't know the history behind the shop and name but was told it is chemistry themed and owned by W&M alum - yassssss! Service is SUPER friendly and excellent so that's a bonus! I lovvvvvvve that the latte menu is chock full of super creative seasonal flavors - so many to choose from!! I stopped by twice while in town and staying just down the street. Had a hot Rose Macaron latte and the next day had the Lemon Bar. Both were DELICIOUS. NOT OVERLY SWEET BUT WITH SUBTLE FLAVORS AND BOLD ESPRESSO TASTE. NOTTTTTT WIMPY WEAK. Both days I had the OG Bacon Egg Cheese sando on an ET bagel that was a decent accompaniment to my seasonal lattes which were clearly the stars of the show. I was there during the week - once mid afternoon, the other day late morning and it was not crowded at all both days. The seating area is HUGE. 2 separate adjacent rooms - walk through the front ordering area and you'll find a large, super cozy and inviting "living room" type space with comfy couches, armchairs, dining tables with chairs and even cubes for studying. Dark and moody vibes. SUPER COZY, RELAXING AND KEPT VERY CLEAN AND TIDY. The other seating area has a bunch of tables and chairs, lots of windows, brighter and more conducive for gathering. Made a quick stop for some coffee on our way to the beach. Glad we did. My daughter ordered lattes with homemade earl gray syrup, which they both enjoyed. They really liked that Column 15 made the drinks iced by adding a big cube of ice made of coffee. That way the drink doesn't get diluted as the ice melts. Brilliant. For me, I got the Americano. It came standard with only 2 shots of espresso- a no no in my book - but the drink was still reasonably priced after I added an extra shot. The end result was an excellent drink. I've now been to several coffee shops in the Williamsburg area and I'd say this one is my favorite so far. Next time I'll stay and enjoy their inside tables or patio area. I had visited Column 15 for coffee before but this was my first meal there. We each had a panini board. I chose the Premium Italian which had just the right balance of salty prosciutto with fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes and spinach. My partner had the Raspberry Ham and thought it was delicious. We walked in and we were immediately greeted. The menu was a bit overwhelming - so many great options to choose from. The space is huge. It's very inviting and community oriented with couches, table and chairs and individual work spaces. We had the classic nitro flight- including butterbeer, snickerdoodle, Milky Way, and honeybee (good). The one with chocolate syrup on top was less than appealing bc of the syrup taste. FYI each mini beverage had a lot of added syrups. Maybe ask for 1/2 the amount if you don't like sweet coffee drinks . We had pancakes and a breakfast sandwich. Good and reasonably priced!! Nice large area for people to gather, study, relax, mingle. As you enter there's an area where you order and wait sitting on benches. Clear view into kitchen, on a Saturday at 5:30pm the kitchen's closed - and they're open until 7pm. Service is friendly. So my thing is the offerings ( how unique or special that sets this cafe apart, the taste of their coffee concoctions) and value for what you pay. Thru havd flights , comes in 5 different flavors but I didn't order since I found out it's all the same coffee taste, just difference in toppings. It's $3 per small drink in a flight. So I just picked one flavor ftlm their flight and ordered it as an individual drink. I ordered the maple mummy. Not stellar. It actually had hints of apple (that was weird). And I could order 12 or 20 oz. I should have ordered smaller because it cost me more than $10!!! read more

Really cool place. First time having their coffee in the actual location. Other times was at the farmers market downtown. The coffee is really good and this place is actually fairly large so lots of people doing business, etc.. The big negative I would give it is that the service was excruciatingly slow..... it's like the workers are moving in slow motion. Had an iced latte with 2 pumps of vanilla and a breakfast sandwich. It was good, although I think I prefer traditional ice rather than the orb they'll do here. I appreciated that they have signs around the restaurant reminding you that all food is made fresh so the wait will be a little longer than your usual fast food or fast casual place. Wow! I visited Column 15 for the first time today (9.12.25) and can't fully express how amazing the service was! Emily was extremely knowledgeable of their many drink offerings (especially the seasonal ones). I can be very indecisive and had no idea what to choose. She patiently steered me to their seasonal "Toil & Toffee" iced latte, based on my preferences. It was DELIGHTFUL! The cherry on top was the ambiance of this coffee shop. The coffee was not as sweet as I would have imagined, but it hit the spot. The food was good, I recommend the sausage egg and cheese (the og) sandwich. We also ordered the pesto panini, it was ok, kind of wet but good flavors. The atmosphere was amazing, and had a cool fish tank with hungry looking fish. Superb coffee if you're visiting Williamsburg, VA! Nestled in a strip mall with plentiful free parking, Column 15 includes a wide space with outdoor seating. The interior is pleasant and open. I ordered a Cafe Americano on a Sunday afternoon which was lovely in providing a sorely needed caffeine rush. On Monday morning, I returned for a regular drip coffee with a splash of whole milk. Be sure to stop by in the morning after the pastries arrive. While the service on Sunday was a bit slow, it was stellar on early Monday morning! read more

Coffee is ok but there was a huge line and it's expensive. The food was mediocre and it took over 20 minutes to get a toasted bagel with ham and cheese on it. They had an issue and lost our order so I got free coffee coupons. I came back now over a year later and got a coffee that was good and free.l but I ordered another sandwich and honestly I would have been better off going to Panera or McDonalds even. The kitchen here is definitely an afterthought. read more

Column 15 has recently expanded their space and had a grand re-opening. They have doubled in size which will be great for all the guests. I know they like to host events as well, so having a bigger space will be great for that. For their grand re-opening they gave everyone a feee drink. It was so generous and kind. My husband had an iced coffee and I tried their summer breeze which is one of their spring specials. As usual the drinks were delicious. The first time I came here, it instantly became my favorite coffee shop--and it's remained consistently great ever since. I even go out of my way to bring visitors here because I've always enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere. Last weekend, I brought my sisters with me. We placed our orders, and while we were waiting, I noticed one of the baristas preparing my drink--the Honeybee Nitro Crème. She had the recipe book open in front of her but was holding something that definitely wasn't honey. Another barista noticed and asked if she needed help. She brushed it off, saying, "She's going to get what she's going to get." Thankfully, the second barista stepped in anyway, handed her the correct ingredients, and helped her finish the drink properly. Comments like that--especially when said within earshot of customers--leave a lasting negative impression. Everyone has off days, but remarks like that make it seem like you dislike your job and have little pride in the work you're doing. I'll still buy their coffee when they're at the Yorktown farmers market, but I won't be returning to this location. read more

We did the fall latte flight and the drinks were very cute, but 3 of the 5 were not good. Two of them were so sweet they were hard to drink. One of the drinks was probably the worst coffee drink I've ever had. I'm not sure how a maple toffee nut combo ended up tasting sour, but it was inedible. Column 15 was a pleasant experience with their industrial and artsy aesthetic. I love a holiday menu, so I was very excited to try the cookie tin flight. The staff behind the coffee bar were very helpful in letting me know that I could have this hot (latte form) or cold (cream cold brew form) as well as letting me know that if I wanted a different flavor from the set ones, I could swap it out. So I went with the cream cold brew cookie tin flight (no adjustments) and it was a delight. The coffees were all smooth and did, in fact, taste just like cookies. My favorite of the flight was the almond snowball one. My only edit to the flight would be to have a spoon or something because the cream on top is so thick that when you finish the liquid, it sits there and I wanted to have it all. read more

A lovely coffee shop my family and I visited while visiting Williamsburg. There is ample parking and plenty of seating indoors. This place is know for their flights. We tried their nitro flights, and added on two additional crème nitro flights. Their nitro was okay, but I did enjoy their crème nitros even more. For food, we ordered a bagel, which my son enjoyed very much! There is other breakfast options (such as breakfast sandwiches), but unfortunately they were sold out when we were there. Prices are comprobable to northern VA prices. Staff is amazing. They were very accommodating to help me make the flight for my husband and me, and were super helpful with answering any questions we had. There is plenty of parking and not a spot you would think of for amazing coffee, tea, and baked goods!! It's definitely a recommended must stop. If I lived in the area I would be a regular. The staff is super friendly and sweet!! I wish I had caught their names. The staff offered ny kids stickers right when we came in. They were patient while we took a look at the menu and picked treats for ourselves as well as our little ones. We stopped on a Friday morning and Thursday morning. It was a quick and speedy service for our drinks and food. There's a separate room inside with plenty of seating area, board games, card games, piano, and wifi!! You have the option to rent out the room for events as well. I would totally recommend the flights of you have time to sit down and enjoy a few drinks. We totally got to experience both hot and iced versions to know which options we liked best. The bagel board I chose was with an asiago bagel, cream cheese, and everything bagel seasoning. The bagel was delicious, soft, and super filling!! The coffee was so good that we came back the following day to get an iced coffee before we hit the road. Their iced coffee has an ice ball of coffee so that your coffee doesn't get diluted. I love that there isn't an upcharge for your choice in cream/milk options. read more

Cute little coffee shop that was apparently very popular amongst the locals! We visited Williamsburg this past weekend and needed a little brunch place that we could either sit down or take on the go and this was perfect. We went around 10am on a Sunday and about every seat inside was taken so we sat outside (there's about 4-5 tables out front). Plenty of people brought their dogs (not sure if they are allowed inside but with the outdoor seating it was ok). Because they were so busy, our food definitely took longer than expected, however the drinks came out fairly quickly. The matcha latte was a little watery to my liking, however the coffee flight was amazing! The butter beer and Milky Way ones were my absolute favorite. The flavors were definitely fall-themed and I was super excited about it! Our food was delicious as well. Highly recommend their house sauce! Their house sauce is like a different take on honey mustard, but more tangy. I loved it! The sandwiches were also really delicious and flavorful. First time here and won't be the last! Great service and awesome iced coffee drinks! Hubs and I split the ham and raspberry sauce with aioli dipping sauce and potato chips. It was a great combo! We ordered the 20 oz iced vanilla latte and seasonal jigsaw Java and they were delish!! Loving the spacious area they offer. My friends and I were in town for the weekend and since they are both huge coffee lovers they searched to find the best coffee shop. We all thought the flights looked fun and since they also had a hot chocolate one we thought this would be the perfect place since I don't drink coffee. They were fairly busy and the flights were average. Good but very artificial tasting. The biggest complaint was the service. The staff were clearly unhappy and didn't want to be there. They were rude, unhelpful, not friendly, and verbally complained to each other in front of the line of people about having to make more flights. read more

This is a very cute coffee shop with a very helpful barista (although two newer staff deferred most questions to her). There is a nice range of interesting flavors, and coffee ice balls are a nice touch to avoid watering down iced coffee and lasted a long time. I tried the lavender chocolate mint which was quite mild, so may try a different flavor next time. Came here for a cowork day with one of my favorite coworkers. She found Column 15 on Yelp and it was such a great find! This is such a cozy cafe. It had very strong wifi and comfortable seating. It's a wonderful spot to get some work done. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte and was happy with what I got. I also bought some of their Ethiopian Light Roast beans to take home. When I made some of the coffee for my friend back home, she couldn't stop obsessing over how tasty it was. This is ones of those spots that are perfect for your Yelp photos. The hallway to the bathroom is lit up with lovely lights. Their logo will look great with your drinks! Another huge plus is that they have a good amount of food options. I went up to Wburg to cowork with my friend and colleague, and I found Column 15 (C15) on Yelp. What a great find! I love the homey and cozy nature of this little shop. When you first walk in, the service counter takes up most of the space and only a few high top seats by the window, so it gave me the impression that it was mostly a grab and go spot. However, there is a doorway to the left in the back and it opens up to a whole new space of seating! It's configured in a homey vibe with a combination of vintage and modern furniture. There's a piano, a telescope, some tables that are old desks. The mis-matchy style, yet it all matches in harmony. Ya know what I mean? I ordered a dirty chai and was also intrigued by the "quichant" which is a quiche in a bowl, topped with a half mini-croissant. They warmed it up for me. I chose the three cheese quichant and it was super cheesy and eggy and I broke off a bit of croissant with each bite, so it was like having a deconstructed breakfast sandwich. The dirty chai was also delightful with a great balance of coffee and spices. The staff kept busy with the steady trickle of customers, but always remained helpful and polite. Some notes: - they have coffee AND hot chocolate flights! I will definitely get one of those the next time! - in terms of food, they have a simple menu, with baked goods, panini boards, bagel boards and of course the quichant like I had. - wifi available - outdoor patio - not many spots with access to outlets for laptops and such, so bring extra battery packs. - only confusing thing was that once I paid, I went to go sit at my table in the other room to avoid overcrowding in the first area and I had seen the staff bring out food and drinks to the tables so I thought it was one of those, pay first and we'll-bring-you-your-order-situations. We are utterly dependent on Yelp during our travels, so finding Column 15 with all these great reviews was almost scary. We wanted a place with local flair and great coffee, and so many good reviews is unusual in any area - but in this case, all the great reviews were warranted. We LOVED this place. We tried two coffee drinks and a lemonade between three of us, and all three were delicious. Not a simple place, either - my son's drink had something like 8 ingredients, and he was still raving about it the next day. We'll be back! read more

This was my first time to Column 15 after the expansion, and this place just keeps getting better and better! Unique drinks, quick and friendly service, tasty food. I tried one of the seasonal "latte flights" this time and it was so fun! The interior is lovely, with a mix of seating for socializing/studying/working and lots of lovely greenery. My only gripe about this place is that it's a little pricey, but I'm always happy to support local so I still think it's worth the five stars. read more

We are visiting from NY and were hoping to find some good coffee after having not so great coffee in our hotel. From the moment we walked into Column 15, it was an amazing experience. Our barista (I think their name was either Rae or Gray) was incredibly warm and welcoming and took the time to make sure we ordered something we would love. Not only were our coffees delicious, but they also made my daughter an outstanding lemonade that was beautiful like a sunset and tasted amazing. We cannot recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be back next time we come to Williamsburg! read more
