We went in for some post workout coffee on a Saturday around 1030. It was warm outside, so everyone was seated inside. There was plenty of seating and we grabbed one of the comfortable couches. We were greeted when walking in and our order was taken quickly. As all drinks are made to order, there was a small wait but it was worth it. The nitro had a sweet but strong flavor, and the seasonal Pina Colatte was very refreshing. A great, "hidden" spot, as even some locals didn't even know it was there. read more

This is a coffee spot with it all. Don't let the very random (aka weird) strip mall location throw you off. Inside this cafe, you'll feel right at home. I went with my family during the Thanksgiving holidays and it was so easy to coordinate with the ample free parking, and menu that included delicious teas, coffee and hot milk drinks. You'll find cozy couches and little nooks to read. They were incredibly kid friendly, even when our kids banged the keys on the piano or ran around. The service was also spot on, making our drinks so quickly and even running to us to say goodbye and thank us for our visit. I love coffeeshops like this place and hope to come back again. read more

Sophia and I made a stop at this little coffee brewery tucked away in a small shopping center in Williamsburg after we ate breakfast last Saturday. We found out about them thanks to the most recent Yelp Elite deal. They've been open for 4 months and so far have garnered rave reviews from the locals. Would our first time be a thumbs up you may ask? We were greeted by the owner upon walking in. The only foot traffic was a small Bible study group. I gotta say the decor inside is brilliant and spacious enough for a mid-size group. And the vibe was very welcoming. After placing my Yelp Elite freebie (reviewed on the Yelp 757 page), I took advantage of the 7.57 deal offered for October. Sophia picked an iced latte which she gave a thumbs up. I went on ahead a picked a kombucha apple pie tea among all the flavors offered. Kombucha tea is a healther tea option which is fermented. Yours truly never tried it so why not give it a go? After the first taste....thumbs way up. At first, I thought it was beer but the apple pie taste came through immediately. Very good and not sweet at all. Love stopping here as a middle point when meeting up with my beach friends. This coffee shop has great quality coffee in a cozy atmosphere. It's located in a strip mall so it has a lot of free parking available. When you're inside this brewing spot, you don't feel like you're in a strip mall. The decor is pretty homey. It's a wonderful spot to work at too. It has strong wifi. Elliot, the owner, is extremely kind and easy to talk to. His passion for what he does always shines through and he's excited to share with you. I love their seasonal specials. On this visit, I got some of their apple pie kombucha. I'm a huge fan of kombucha, so the "feet" smell people complain about doesn't bother me, but do know that the kombucha here doesn't have that. Definitely more Third-wave coffee model (if you're a coffee snob). I had a seasonal hot drink, while my wife ordered a vanilla latte. We returned the next day to have lattes with brown sugar cinnamon and can't decide which we like more! We had a French toast bagel, everything bagel, and a chocolate swirl. The bagels were perfectly toasted and the pastry was warm to complement the coffee. PLEASE try the everything bagel with their savory cream cheese (dill and paprika); it is a lovely partner to a sweeter latte. The atmosphere is very low-key and friendly. Its layout promotes openness, inclusivity, and transparency as you can literally see their roaster and coffee bar from any seat. How amazing! High praise from the Yelp community for Kingship. Probably one of the highest ratings I've seen, so expectations were very high. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectation. I ordered an Americano - made properly with 3 shots. The barista told me "be careful, it's super hot". I thought, "great", because I really like hot coffee. Unfortunately, when I got to my car and took a sip, it was just lukewarm. I should have known. I saw the barista staring at a little kettle sitting on a hot plate behind the counter. He obviously didn't have hot water ready for my order. As for the flavor of the coffee, it was good. Not 5 star good, but good. My wife ordered an iced late that came out piping hot. She didn't have the heart to have them make it again. She too found the flavor to be OK. Maybe we should have switched drinks - she could have had my lukewarm coffee and I could have drank her hot latte! The store has more of a sleek, stylish look vs being homey and inviting. Kingship Brewing was such a fun place to find! The coffee is absolutely delicious and they even make their own kombucha in house! The coffee syrups and sauces are also homemade as well. They have a small food menu with pastries, oatmeal, and bagels with some fun cream cheese options. The ambiance and decor of the space is lovely and very cute! There are many different seating options for various sized groups. You can either cozy up on a couch/chair or settle down at a table with your laptop and get things done. Both times we went Victor was the barista running the front end of things and you can tell he has so much love and passion for his craft. We really enjoyed hearing him talk through what goes into the coffee process with one of their current seasonal featured beverages so we got a little inside look on the bourbon aged espresso beans as well as conversations about making espresso at home that included fun tips and tricks.
