They have house matcha AND ceremonial matcha * They roast their own coffee * Their rotating specials are always very interesting Recommendations for improvement: * the only thing I would suggest is for the shop to introduce a rewards system or punch card! I go here so often, even a punch card having the 10th drink as free would be a game changer Tip: they validate parking in dominion tower garage, check out their instagram for more details!

It was ample which was appreciated considering the prices! Definitely more costly than some other local shops but worth it! The view and fresh roasted coffee doesn't disappoint! Buckroe coffee was one of the best coffee shops I've been to in quite some time, too bad it's on the other side of the water from our house! Walking in you can tell it was once a bank, LOVE older buildings and stories like this! The atmosphere inside was amazing, there were all different types of customers enjoying conversation, working, and just enjoying time in their 3rd place. I ordered a blended mocha frappe. PERFECT on the hot day! My daughter ordered a lemon & white chocolate latte and it was one of the best she has had (and like her mother, she does love her coffee and is VERY picky) My husband went the non coffee route and ordered a Mango smoothie and found it refreshing and finished it in the car on the way home. If you are on the hampton side of the water I highly recommend you stopping at Buckroe coffee. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to head back up to the farmers market so I can stop here again on the way home :)

I had gotten…read moremost of my gifts at VA Goods in Selden Market, but I was looking for one last thing to wrap up my gift giving! I decided to take a trip to the retail location of Rich Port Coffee down the street from Selden Market. The retail location is located on the corner of the ground floor of the office building at the corner of West Main Street and Boush Street. It offers all the wonderful coffee drinks, cold bevs, baked goods and some merch like popcorn from Puerto Rico and hand painted coffee percolators. Rich Port Coffee started out as a wholesale roaster in Selden Market (where the roastery remains) and then they opened the retail location last year. - Parking - There is metered parking on the street and various parking garages nearby. Don't quote me on this, but there may be free parking spaces in front of Boush Street. - What I got - I was looking for a bag of their roasted coffee and at the time of my visit, there were 1lb bags of roasted whole bean coffee from El Salvador, Colombia, adn Puerto Rico. Since the owners are from PR (hence the name, Puerto Rico = Rich Port), I decided to get a bag of the PR beans, because that is not a country you see very often. They are in different colored bags and have cute little flag dots to identify the coffee. Since it was whole bean, and not everyone has a coffee grinder, Mia, the owner, offered to grind it for me. This was super nice and convenient, as they have a way better grinder than I do! The bag cost be about $20, but at the time of this writing, they are running a special, that if you buy a 1lb bag of coffee beans, you get a free 12oz drink. Since it was 88F today, I opted for an iced mocha and it was just the afternoon pick-me-up that I needed! Rich Port Coffee is a little hidden, but conveniently located at the corner by Todd Jurich Bistro and the Nauticus! Stop on by as they have awesome drinks, goodies from small local businesses like Smores Amore and others. Enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!

Battlefield Boulevard, just outside the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. Having visited their Summit Pointe location before, we were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious this café is. The Great Bridge location offers plenty of comfortable seating, making it an ideal place to meet friends, catch up on work, or simply relax with a great cup of coffee. Their retail area is also much larger, featuring an impressive selection of branded T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, coffee beans, and other merchandise for those who want to take a little piece of Pale Horse home with them. We arrived just before the Saturday morning rush, which proved to be perfect timing. No sooner had we settled into our seats with our lattes than a group of nearly thirty people walked through the door. It didn't take long for the shop to become a lively gathering place. Despite the growing crowd, the atmosphere remained welcoming and unhurried. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to enjoy your favorite espresso drink or simply stopping by to grab a coffee on the go, Pale Horse has created an environment that encourages you to stay awhile. In addition to an excellent selection of coffee, espresso, and handcrafted lattes, they also offer a variety of fresh baked goods if you're looking for something to enjoy alongside your drink. One piece of advice: arrive early. Word has definitely gotten out about this place, and it's easy to see why. Even if you happen to visit during a busy period and have to wait a few extra minutes, the quality of the coffee and the friendly atmosphere make it well worth your patience. Pale Horse Coffee continues to prove that great coffee is only part of the experience. Comfortable surroundings, friendly service, and a welcoming community are what keep people coming back--and after this visit, it's easy to understand why. !
