My family has been to Elite and came home excited about it. I finally went today with two friends, and we had a lovely experience. They enjoyed their coffees, and I enjoyed an earl grey tea. We also ordered chocolate croissants and had them heated. Everything was delicious! In addition to typical coffee shop pastries, they have a case full or specialty cakes and assorted treats like baklava. They also have a case of cold beverages. Seating is comfortable on sofas around tables. Elite is special, and we will return. It's good to see a local small business and talk with the owner. Parking is free and service is friendly and efficient.

If you want excellent coffee and sweets with a clean and quiet atmosphere, Elite is for you. The variety of drinks offered here will have something for everyone, plus giving you the opportunity to try something new. I got the Kurdish coffee with soy milk. I could ask for it to be made sweeter or less sweet than normal, but I chose to get it as-is. The tahini brought a wonderfully rich yet light nut flavor to the drink. I also got a slice of the pistachio ricotta cake, which was also delightful. The owners make everything themselves and plan to change some of the desserts seasonally. They also plan to add Italian coffee to their line up of Turkish, Kurdish and Spanish offerings. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

My husband and I went here because we heard they had Turkish coffee. I ordered the Kurdish Latte with soy milk, he ordered the Turkish coffee. Let's start with the Kurdish Latte. Very smooth, like the smoothest coffee I've ever had. Not too sweet, but perfectly balanced. There were hints of nuttiness but not over powering. A very nice flavor. Will order again. Hands down. Delicious. The Turkish coffee is different. If you've ever had Iranian coffee the granular aspects of that are in the Turkish coffee but different flavors and aromas. It was thick. If you've ever are into a dark roast thick black coffee this will be for you. The service was very nice. The owner made the coffee for us and has his own recipes there that are delicious. They make their own pastries in store. Beautiful and they had a GLUTEN FREE STRAWBERRY DELIGHT. So yes on GF options. Amazing. The atmosphere of the store was very cute. They had couches and tables. Good internet service.

First time here to enjoy the tea. The owner is Kurdish and his wife bakes all the yummy pastries. I couldn't resist a croissant which he warmed up. He said the Kurdish tea is stronger than black tea in terms of caffeine. I got an iced green tea. Joined my friends. Btw I ate the croissant so quickly that forgot to photograph it. It was a gorgeous 80 degrees outside so if you want a cold beverage you can ask.

I honestly love this space . I normally have to travel to the DMV for a Spanish coffee and I was over the moon about it being available here and it was soooo good!!! The gentleman who helped serve was very kind and informative of what all they offered. This is a very quiet gem . Please visit them ! It's worth it!

A wonderful experience all around. The space was spotless and inviting, and the coffee was clearly made with care--especially the fresh beans and variety of drinks we tried. We couldn't resist taking home a couple of desserts, and the brownie was a standout. It's easy to see how much pride and passion the owner puts into this place. Definitely worth choosing over a chain café.

Amazing drinks. Best parties. Lovely lounge. A must stop for us on our way to OBX. Pastry are made fresh daily. Coffee is exquisite. Many natural flavors.

Visited while waiting on my Chinese food order from next door to be ready. Ordered an iced vanilla latte. Very tasty. Lots of baked goods and comfy seating.

Once again, coffees were perfect. We had Spanish Latte and Kurdish Coffee each tailored to our specification. The owner is very personable. He is opened today, Xmas Day. Plenty of parking. Soft italian music playing.

This place is amazing. The menu has many good options for drinks. There are so many pastries and baked goods that are freshly made. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The inside is cozy and relaxing. It's a hidden gem you need to try!

However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.

We arrived at 6:30pm for our reservation. We walked in and was greeted and the next gesture was the hostess asking for $10 each. I was a bit blown away because I didn't understand what the $10 was for because we just walked in the restaurant and it was only a handful of people inside including an employee sitting down eating ... and the workers still setting up and what appeared to be the entertainment that was setting up as well. The hostess mentioned entertainment was taking place around 7:30 or 8:00 ... Okay but it was not even close to that time frame so not sure why money was taken or asked for in advance. My bestie and I were going to dine if anything share an appetizer and have a drink ...definitely wasn't going to be there for any entertainment because we both were underdressed so that was a bit of a turn-off but he was excited to try the restaurant so he paid the $20 for us to walk in and sit down. The restaurant was wide open so we decided to sit at the bar instead of a table not sure if he was greeted at the bar because I went to the restroom. Nevertheless I came from the restroom and sat at the bar with him and not even 2 minutes later I was greeted with gnats and the smell of bleach such a turn off not sure what's going on here or what happened but I was ready to go. My bestie wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt but 5 minutes later I still was turned off and was ready to go. Well... go at your own risk. Parking is available on the street as well as a parking garage is available within walking distance. We were in and out by 7pm. $60 spent I order an old fashioned I know I finished that in about 15 seconds because I didn't want anything to get in it so from what I can recall it was good. Have fun and enjoy life :)

We weren't sure where the restaurant was located within the building so we stopped to ask where the Terrace a room was at a hostess stand where three women were working. They all stared at us like we had dropped from the sky and then one woman gestured down the hall. Except it wasn't down the hall. We were in fact at the Terrace Room hostess stand. Sort of an odd beginning. We were seated at a two top with one chair and a couch with huge pillows scattered all over that left no room to actually sit. Had to toss them to the center of the couch to squeeze in. The menus are giant in size so it's hard to lay them down on the small table. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started off with a bourbon cocktail that included some candied ginger and was very refreshing. The server gave us each a small cube of bread and some butter. It was sort of comical how miserly they were with the bread. The menu offerings were sort of odd but we were able to watch what other tables ordered to make our selections. The entree prices are pretty hefty. We each got a Caesar Salad to start that was good. We both settled on the brisket sandwich (a July Fourth special) and one of us got the fries and the other a side of summer veggies that was squash & zucchini. The sandwich was okay but nothing grand for $21 and the veggie side caused us to both explode with laughter at how meager it was. C'mon folks, squash is dirt cheap so load it up. Absolutely ridiculous. Their wine selections were not super familiar to us and pricey but they give you an ample pour. The Inn itself is very beautiful and the night stars shimmering on the reflecting pool out front is very romantic. I'd recommend a drink at the bar and skipping the $200 dinner for two.

Not sure sharp objects and alcohol is the best idea but everyone seemed to be behaving responsibly. We were escorted to some bays that had two lanes next to each other and then separated by a fence before two more open lanes. We were given a safety brief at the lanes with people in two other lanes and some instructions on how to throw. Don't pass axes by hand, put them in the return box. Different styles of how to throw. Thankfully we had the full bay to ourselves since so one was in the open bay next to us. We played for 75 min which was a comfortable amount of time. They also have a knife throwing option which we didn't select. There's some seating available near the throwing area for non players. Each bay has a standing bar with two backless metal seats. I was able to throw comfortably with a walking boot on for a sprained ankle. I appreciated that since I didn't even think of that before reserving a space. I was nervous at first but managed to do ok with the over head two hand throw.
