Simple decor, very friendly (Greek owned) staff and delicious food with so many options. Our server, Essence was hilarious and made the meal even better. She brought a carafe of coffee to the table and they even had flavored creamers in addition to the regular. I love that they have a variety of jellies on the table and even honey if you ask for it. I had the banana nut (they use pecans) pancakes which were so fluffy and perfect. Hubby was in Heaven with his order. He got the 2+2+2 waffle with scrambled eggs (so light and fluffy) sausage links, and apple topping which was homemade (the apples had some crunch to them instead of being mushy and from a can). This place was hopping, but so was the service. Despite several waiting outside, we were all seated in under ten minutes. Cute country colonial rooster theme. Our server, Tess, was fantastic. My husband was craving a bagel breakfast sandwich (because he is enduring my keto diet) and they were one of the few places offering this. He got cream cheese on the side for the sandwich (if you haven't tried this, I highly recommend it). This little breakfast dinner was a cute little spot for a breakfast date. The server was very nice, smiling and just looked like she loved being there. We love to see that QUEEN! I don't remember her name because I'm horrible but she had ice cream Fourth of July earrings. Which was also cute. Can't say that for the hostess sadly which had an opposite attitude and didn't address anyone but to seat you. The food was good, the breakfast was filling and the pancakes were sweet but not OVERLY sweet. Everything was cooked very well. My partner had the breakfast burrito and she just didn't like that the peppers were not cooked and the cheese was too much - like one bite had all cheese. But overall it was well liked. I considered the colonial Williamsburg pancake House to be a must stop every time we visit the area but after our visit this morning I don't think we will return. The staff is friendly but after our food came out we never saw the waitress again to get re-fills for the kids drinks. The manager brought us the check and when I inquired about a refill he informed me it would be an additional charge. After waiting for 30min for the check we didn't feel as if it was worth it and left. The food was ok but lacked seasoning and my son couldn't finish his pancakes because he was waiting for a refill on his drink. For the prices I would expect more, they did have a few larger tables that were taking away from the staffs ability to keep up. Plenty of other places in Williamsburg to try. read more

Super convenient location and close to all the main Williamsburg attractions, which made it an easy stop before heading out for the day. This is my third time eating here. I ordered 2x2x2, replaced gluten free pancakes with gluten free waffles. My order came out with a stick on it indicating it is a gluten free waffle. Their food is that classic breakfast food which really hit the spot. I got the 2 eggs with home fries and a biscuit and my fiance got the omelet. We also got one pancake each - he got the chocolate chip and I got the apple pie pancake. I absolutely loved that you can get just one pancake, so many places make you get 3 so we don't bother but this was a perfect way to try them out without needing to commit. We wanted a responsibly priced breakfast after experiencing the Great Wolf Lodge food prices. The 9 yo granddaughter ordered pancakes with strawberries and a side sausage. She didn't put a dent in the pancakes, ate the berries and the 2 sausages. The 12 yo ate her BLT but was full and didn't finish the fries. I had the corned beef hash, over easy eggs, home fries and a biscuit. I was more than full. The very good home fries were thinly sliced potatoes with thinly sliced onion pieces. The corned beef hash seemed canned. The biscuit was very soft with a crunchy crust. My husband had a cheddar cheese omelet with onions, home fries and rye toast. He said the omelet was good, not dry or under done. "It was good.". Sorry no pics. They had a good turnover of customers and at one point had a line out the door and people waiting. Breakfast today was great - large portions, eggs cooked correctly, service was fantastic. We'll be back. It's still a great place to eat with good food, good value, and good service. We ordered the biscuit and gravy, very berry pancakes, and the apple pie pancakes. The biscuits and gravy gave us the "made at your grandmas house" vibe, and it was everything my wife was craving. Our son had the apple pie pancakes with ice cream and he said they were very good, but he would share them next time because they were very sweet. A year ago, Sophia and I drove to the 'Burg for breakfast at a long standing spot. The food was really good and we went back sometime in the Spring as well. So for the Thanksgiving weekend, we decided to make the drive here once again to see how things were. Upon walking inside, you can see the specials written on their board. Just like a year ago, country fried steak was the special. And that's we both ordered again. I had mine with home fries, scrambled eggs and buttered toast and Sophia had hers with home fries, fried hard eggs and buttered toast along with coffee and water. And like before, both of us enjoyed our meal. Our meals came out in a timely manner cooked very well. Like before, I added salt and pepper to the eggs for a bit more seasoning (each restaurant does their food differently), but the both of us were filled up nicely for the morning drive. Well, that was our experience. Great service from the staff, a good crowd on hand for a post-Thanksgiving meal and a great vibe all around. I don't think we could've asked for anything more. Parking behind the restaurant can be tight. There appears to be parking across the street but I wasn't sure that this was for the restaurant. Exactly what an old fashioned dining experience should be like. Wait staff was kind and efficient. Constantly checking up on us and refilling coffee as needed. Location was great with ample parking near a podunk hotel that was a little sketchy not gonna lie. Ambiance felt like you were thrown back a decade while also embracing its environment in historic Virginia. There are so many pancake places in the area it is kind of hard to choose. This is a nice homestyle feel restaurant. The waiter was very nice a polite. He checked on us numerous times in our 45 mins there. The pancakes are pancakes. Nothing too crazy. The apple pie pancakes are very sweet so be prepared. The pigs in a blanket were exactly what the name says. And the 2 cakes and bacon were "delicious" as my 9 yr old put it. But everything was cooked great and met expectations. Parking was easy and we got there right on time around 8 am as 30 minutes later it was packed and a waiting line. The restaurant is super cute all blue with decor of chickens, hens and other historic photos. The menu has many options. We order two items. The big breakfast comes wit pancakes which is what we wanted. The blueberry pancakes were really good. All items tasted good and were fresh. No options for coffee, only one option. It's your basic traditional diner. I got the gluten-free pancakes with cherries. The cherries were pie-filling style with lots of good goo. The pancakes themselves were a disappointment. They were a cornbread-tasting mix, and they got really gummy when I ate them. It was uneatable, honestly. Paying extra and getting unappetizing products is the curse of the allergy diner.
