    Bar seating area

This restaurant opened in February and we stopped otw out of town. It's conveniently located on Richmond Road next to the Hilton Garden Inn. The outside is nicely decorated with fresh flowers and offers some comfortable seating options while waiting. We called ahead when we were a few minutes away since it was Juneteenth and while it took a little while to answer, they confirmed there was no wait for a party of two. There are bench seats in the entry and we were promptly greeted. We only had to wait a few minutes while they sat the two parties in front of us. The entryway is a little congested with people checking in and then being called for tables. We had to wait until a couple moved out of the way but not a big deal. All the walls have peekaboo open window areas so you can see the whole restaurant. While we were waiting there was a TV in the bar area showing how they make various espresso drinks, handcrafted smoothies and hand crafted cocktails. There were two other TV screens showing pictures of food and we saw a few servers walk around with display tray of pastries that looked mouth watering. There is a variety of seating with booths, high tops, regular tables and bar seating. I really loved the decor and cute sayings along the top of the walls. We sat at a high top for two and our waitress Sheila quickly arrived water with lemons when she greeted us and gave us time to review the menu. We started with the sunrise meditation- Orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, agave plus a double espresso. I was really pleased with the sunrise drinks as I don't like overpowering ginger in my drinks and this definitely wasn't, very good balance. I had a skillet bowl which has breakfast potatoes with and onions and bell peppers, 2 eggs scrambled or sunny side up and choice of toast or potatoes. The Overload is topped with bacon, cheddar, chives, sour cream. The bacon was chunky like bacon bits, not thin or crunchy and there was plenty of cheese like lift your fork and twirl all the yummy goodness. Personally I could have used more chives and skipped the sour cream but I enjoyed it. If you are picky about runny whites, make sure to specify how you'd like your eggs. My husband has biscuits and gravy which came with 2 eggs which he had sunny side. The gravy looked a little thin but not watery and it wasn't floury like some places can be. There were two full size biscuits which were moist. My husband likes a little brown on his breakfast potatoes so they were a little light for him but the consistency was good, not hard or mushy. He also likes a lot of seasonings but salt and pepper is available in the table with jelly and butter for biscuits. I'm sure you could specify crispier potatoes if you're particular. the portions were a good size for the price. We saw a breakfast sandwich made in croissants that was a good size and the side salad had fresh mixed greens. Also saw some chocolate chip pancakes go by that looked really good. You could see they were using fresh whipped cream on top of drinks. Checkout is easy as the waitress brings a handheld device. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back to try some of the other options. Great variety on the menu and elevated from other pancake house type options available in Williamsburg.

Laib was an AMAZING waiter. He was attentive and polite. Helped out a lot with the menu and made us feel very comfortable. The food came fast, even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was tasty and very clean and cute place. Overall a great experience.

No matter your tastes, you will find something to eat at The Brunch Company. Their menu is massive with plenty of options, plus they're good with substitutions. My husband and I got different skillets and split a smoothie. We had another person with us who has a restrictive diet and was able to adjust his order to fit his needs, and everything came out well. It is very packed inside. It seems like they tried to fit as many seats as possible, which has been helping with their wait times. We only waited 20 minutes for a table, our table felt tight and it was very loud inside. Overall, the prices are high for the area and it's crowded, but the food is really good.

Maria, my server. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her positive attitude and excellent service made the entire experience even better. It's rare to come across someone who genuinely makes you feel like a valued guest, and Maria did exactly that. Great food, outstanding service, and an overall wonderful experience.

Great service. Cafe atmosphere. The food was good, especially the brisket skillet. We will be back to try the pastries when we are not so full of breakfast.

The food was delicious! I had the steak and eggs with potatoes, absolutely fantastic. Liz was our server and was just wonderful! Her service was amazing and on point, the specialty drinks were a work of art, and the manager was kind and attentive. A great experience for my family here on vacation. Thank you all for the hospitality!

This was our first time here, and we had a wonderful breakfast! The restaurant was clean, our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

The Brunch Company is fantastic. It's disappointing that previous reviews have nothing to do with the actual food. "Waiting" to be seated is normal. The ambience is amazing. This is a beautiful space, perfect for large groups or a couples breakfast. The staff is kind, professional, and attentive. The service was swift. We arrived around 9:30AM on a Sunday and was seated immediately. By 10:30AM, there was a wait. The food is delicious - farm fresh. Their pastries are fresh and delicious. Not overly sweet or rich. This is an upscale version of all the local pancake houses while also being very relaxed.

So cute inside and the food was spot on! It's a must visit for brunch!!! The service was also great!! Some advice- if you can wait until after 12:00 pm to go, it's less crowded then!!

After about a 25 minute wait (which is what we were told) we were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. There is not a lot of room between tables but the place is clean and looks nice. We ordered and our food came in a reasonable amount of time. The food was really good. We also took a cinnamon role to go which was very good.

The food was overall okay. I got the croissant sunrise sandwich (which I think was missing the maple syrup drizzle) and it was good. One of my friends got the crab cake Benedict and had to send it back because the crab cake tasted fishy. She ordered something new and it took a really long time to get it, she ended up just taking it home. Two other friends got the Mexicano omelette and they said it was a bit dry. But my other friend got the pot roast skillet and raved about it. I tasted the pot roast and it was delicious, and I'm not typically a pot roast person. My caramel macchiato was good, but definitely not great. Our waitress was wonderful! She was so kind and helpful. Her name was Sarah. They were very crowded and it was pretty hot in the restaurant. Unfortunately I probably wouldn't go back.

However, I would not recommend the brownie and chocolate sundae dessert. The brownie and cookie were cold and hard, which made the dessert disappointing. On the positive side, the carrot cake was huge and definitely worth sharing -- easily enough for 3-4 people. The service was excellent as well. Our waiter was very attentive throughout the meal and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, Second Street American delivers great food variety, strong service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, with just a few misses on dessert.

Nothing wrong with this little grab-and-go carry out shop but at the same time, I wouldn't call it anything ahhhhmazzzzinggggg that would warrant more than just an average 3 star rating. Better than and more options than a hotel lobby self serve "mini mart." They serve self serve coffee (Members, don't forget to ask for your complimentary daily coffee tickets upon check-in!) but this place also has a barista for hot or iced lattes. Decent lattes, thankfully made with espresso shots not watered down or weak & wimpy. On par with what you would get at Starbucks. The latte menu is NOT extensive so don't expect a long latte/coffee drink menu like at Starbucks. I posted a pic of the latte/tea/juice/bfast sando menu with prices so have a look. Staff is SUPER NICE but both times I was there getting a hot latte, there was ONE WORKER each time running cash AND barista-ing. Not many more can fit behind that tiny ordering counter frankly. Thus - if you see any kind of long line, BE PREPARED TO WAIT. Or come back during non-rush hours. (Remember this is a conference center so it is highly likely conference attendees will be lining up to order before the start of the conference day and in between sessions throughout the day!) I read on their website that all their baked goods and pastries as well as sandwiches, salads etc are freshly house made there on prem so that's nice. Prices are not break the bank (for a hotel). My small hot vanilla latte was $7. Like I said - as a hotel lobby grab-and-go so you don't have to walk far or drive to get your latte-fix on, The Cupboard is right-there-convenient and will absolutely do just fine. If you DO feel like going off the property to go to an indie coffee shop, I drove to and tried the relatively new Grit Coffee in Midtown for the first time - pretty good (read my review and see my pics): Or go to the ever-famous Aromas in CW near the William&Mary campus, an OG legend which imo is overhyped but still a good option - parking can be a pain, frankly better to walk there from the hotel (it's prob a 20 min walk to Aromas but you walk straight down beautiful CW - on a nice day, can't beat that.).

All the previous times were all excellent with the food and beverages ordered. Let's see if this visit continues the good luck. We were immediately greeted by the staff and promptly seated. To my surprise, they completely remodeled the restaurant. Going from 9 tables to close to 30 and looking gorgeous from head to toe. For the entire hour we were there, it was a sight that I can't forget. Congrats to Tipsy Beans for this :) Enough gloating about the interior. Let's discuss the food. My beverage was a large iced Mud Turtle latte and my meal was a meat lovers omelet with mushrooms added (for only 25 cents extra). Everything was excellent. The latte wasn't too sweet which was very good for me. And their tall glass (which is new for remodeling) was really cool. The omelet was cooked perfectly with the protein and veggies all coming together. A home run all around. Thank you Tipsy Beans for making us feel at home. Since we were already in the parking lot, we made the easy decision to go in. As we walked in, I noticed that the place had been expanded. We stood at the podium, and we were greeted by a greeter who seemed disinterested and lukewarm. Not what I'm accustomed to when I visit. I gave him my information, and he informed me that there was a 20-minute wait. I suggested that we could sit on the other side of the bar, but he said that they were closing that side because they were closing soon (in two hours). I noticed that they had tall tops, and I wanted one. He said that he could make that happen. While he was huffing and puffing and cleaning some tables, which were all standard height, he finally told me that my table was ready and it was a regular table. I was surprised because I had been told earlier that he could make it happen when it came to the table I requested. The greeter then told me that the side with the high tops was closed, so I had waited 30 minutes for a table. I could have sat at the bar, but Maurice wanted to go home at 6 p.m. sharp, and he had no recollection of what he had said. I was disappointed with the service and the lack of attention to detail. I hope that Tipsy Beans finds a new person to greet and seat customers. Maurice was not the right person for the job.
