    House salad
    Andy G.

We always eat at the same places so we decided to try something new. This place is a bit hidden but we were able to locate it and find parking. The menu is pretty big. I ended up ordering the house salad with fried chicken. The portion size was good. The sweet tea dispenser was filled with water.... The salad was good, I just wasn't blown away. Their ranch was just okay, definitely not my kind of ranch. The place was relatively clean. The service was okay. I'd consider going back.

We stopped here on a whim and it was pretty good. I liked the fried avocado with gouda. It was crispy and had nice flavor. The fries were a hit. The sauce bar was amazing. The Korean BBQ had great spice. We sat inside and there is plenty of seating. Very clean. The people working were helpful with vegetarian options. I will.be back.

This is the first time that I've eaten at a Super Chix. I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and vanilla custard. The chicken tenders were large in size and tossed in a hot honey sauce. The fries were hot and fresh and the custard was smooth. The cashier was helpful when asked questions about their menu. I appreciated her helpfulness since it was my first time there. This place is definitely worth trying out when wanting to get some good chicken tenders.

The food tasted pretty good, but didn't really do well on the drive home. They're so jam packed (not a negative) that we had to reassemble before eating. The plastic packaging also didn't help because they steamed the sandwiches in the time it took to get home. The fries were also a little cold and not crisp, even though it had only been about 10 minutes since we got them. The Korean BBQ and Cheesy BBQ sandwiches are winners though and should be tried. I also really liked that the sauce station has plenty of cups so you can try them all of you'd like. We'll definitely try again since the sandwiches were so good.

Decided to give this place a try as it was not far from us and we wanted a quick lunch option. Parking is near by and some parallel parking near as well. Off to the food: This gives me if five burgers wanted to be a chicken sandwich place vibes. The food was cooked fresh which is much appreciated coming in at 30ish bucks. The buffalo chicken sandwich was good and the fries the sauce bar was much appreciated. I really liked the signature sauce a lot. Next up was the Nashville. The staff did what they needed to do promptly. Wouldn't run back but would go again.

Fantastic salads. I had the crispy versions and my wife the grilled. Of course, she got on my case for getting what I wanted ! I used some their special sauces for the sauce bar to kick mine up a a notch. We were visiting this brand for the first time and in our short stay at Williamsburg ( we have no w of these locally up north) I wanted to go back again the food was so good! She also got a pumpkin spice shake and loved it

Ok Super Chix, local Chick-fil-A "esk"type of chicken place. Very expensive, reminds me of a chicken version of 5 Guys. Although I only ordered fries, my husband greatly enjoyed the chicken sandwich he had here. They do shakes along with chicken sandwiches, and cheese fries with different seasonings to add. Service wasn't much, as you only go to the counter to order and don't deal with the staff afterwards. Ambiance was spacious, tables weren't on top of each other. There are only 2 restrooms here.

Found this place on accident and my kiddo was all about it. Chicken was great. Fried pickles were awesome and the loaded fries- unreal. There was a small mistake with our order but quickly corrected. It's a little loud for a conversation, but the 80s music made me happy.

We gave them another shot tonight and for the good the chicken tenders did not disappoint. However again the service was lacking and the blackened chicken sandwich was very thin. No where have I paid $10+ for a chicken sandwich and got such a thin chicken.

I've been here a few times now since it opened at the beginning of May. The food is good. My only major qualm with this spot is that it has Five Guys prices. What this means is that a sandwich is going to run you at least $10. If you would like a side of fries, that will add another $5 to the total. A shake an additional $6-$7. In all, a single meal will cost you close to $25. A but excessive in my opinion for fast food. I must emphasize, however, that the food is good. The sandwich comes with fresh hand breaded chicken. You can tell on the first bite that it is made to order. The fries too are decent. They come in a variety of flavors. I have tried the Cajun and rosemary. Both are good options. Similar to Five Guys, they really load up the platter or bag. The shakes are very good. Pictured is the Oreo mint. I would not get this one again. I have also had the cookies and cream. I was a big fan of this one! The mint just didn't have enough Oreo to it. Overall, Super Chix is a nice addition to the Williamsburg food scene. Positioned well near campus and colonial Williamsburg, it will be a great stop for students and tourists alike. I don't think it will ever become a go-to however just because it is hard to justify spending that much money on each visit.

Cordon Bleu sandwich...it's 11 bucks but just thrown together coming out of the kitchen.

We have not not dined, or even spent much time at CW since the pandemic. After a hike behind Bassett Hall my wife and I enjoyed lunch. We arrived at noon and were promptly seated in an empty room. Around 20 minutes later the first floor was full. The atmosphere was cool and authentic. Nothing has changed since my previous visit. Our friendly waitress got menus and waters. I started off with an Apple Jack Old Fashioned utilizing Virginia Gentleman bourbon. We reviewed items on the menu that may have been served in the period. We started with apps. I got a salad, or "To Make a Fine Sallet". My wife crab croquettes. They pushed out first and we enjoyed. For mains. I got the pork shank, or "To Stew a Shoat in the French Way". My wife had "Chicken Hash", it was like a thick soup. The plating was beautiful and the taste matched. The old fashioned was disappointing because it was so weak. Service was decent, but not much attention. For dessert I got the bread pudding and wife chocolate tart. Both were outstanding! The bill was dropped on the table. It was around $150 w/ tip. Although pricey we had fun and felt like tourist just an hour from home. I would recommend.

I came here with my parents and girlfriend as a way to cap a nice day of introducing her to them and I was unpleasantly surprised by the visit. Despite the fact that you cannot park in front of the establishment , there was very little signage in the back to route you to where you needed to be to reach the host stand. Once we got there, there was some awkward interaction from the hostess to get us seated, and we reviewed our menus. We all opted for the peanut soup ($10 each) as an appetizer, and my girlfriend and I opted for the Roast Duck ($50 each) and my parents both opted for the Salmon with crab on top ($59 each). While the peanut soup was excellent (and available elsewhere), the roast duck was flavorless, the accompanying vegetables cold, and the mashed potatoes were not enough to save the entree. The "free" Sally Lunn bread and cornbread were quite nice, though again not enough to save the meal, nor was the bread pudding. My parents told me they liked the salmon meals but without sampling it I have to take their word for it. I risk seeming ignorant here so to be clear: I have enjoyed a number of elevated meals where the high prices were entirely justified by the quality of food, level of service, and upscale atmosphere. King's Arms failed in every respect: the food was middling at best, the service was okay but failed to make enough callbacks to avoid running out of water, and the ambiance was spoiled by a large party with eight children they decided to seat in the middle of the room, thereby ensuring a loud distraction for everyone. While this was indeed an interesting experience from a historical perspective, it is utterly unfit to charge the prices it does and I strongly recommend against coming here. The extra star is for the soup, definitely seek out the peanut soup (but do it somewhere else). Overall: 2.0 stars ---- Pros: - The peanut soup is excellent, as is the Sally Lunn bread - The historical experience of dining where those in antiquity have is quite cool. Cons: - By fine dining standards, the rest of the fare here is laughably bad. - The service is decent but nowhere near where it should be given the airs they put on. - Prices are exorbitant and horrifying to anyone with an eye for value. - Directions and parking are an additional pain point. - If you know you have a large party of children, plan seating accordingly. This is an awful way to ruin the experience of everyone else who is paying a lot to be here.

The stuffing was to die for, the mashed potatoes full of creamy flavor, and don't get me started on the collard greens! Just give me the whole pot!! They KNOW how to do collards. The desert was also very good, pumpkin pie with butter pecan ice cream. Overall the place was great, my only issue was that you had to make a reservation (which I get) but we didn't have one and figured we would try anyway. So we walk in and ask if there is any available seats... mind you I saw like 4 full open tables, a long high top table with 10-12 seats available... she looks at her list and starts counting, asks if I'm ok with a high top, I say yes, so we take the seats at the long table that seats like 12 as a shared table. So were there for a little over an hour and not one of those available tables when I walked in were used. I am not sure if they have in place where if your 10 minutes late for your reservation then you forfeit your table. Because paying customers would have liked that table. But the food was amazing and that made up for it. With tip, Thanksgiving dinner was about $149 for 2 people.
