Maple Bacon Croissant Sammy
Jeffrey G.

We stopped here for brun hours with family, we had to wait about 15 min for a table and after seated our waiter, Beth, came right over to take our drink orders and answer any questions. For a drink I had the Blazing Dragon, it was really good but a little on the very sweet side. Foe an entrée I had the Maple Bacon Croissant Sammy, it was very filling and the sweet maple with the jalapeño heat was very tasty. Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meals. The pricing was very reasonable. Great place to eat.

Cobb Salad (disappointed in the brown ends of lettuce though) and the size. Hardly any lettuce for the price.

The staff were very friendly and this place is pretty nice inside with their decorative urban farmhouse look inside. The food was delicious and not huge portions so if you're really hungry, don't come ready to taking home anything that you have left over. They have a lot of healthy options and this time we went with the power breakfast bowl and trifecta. They both came out pretty quick and were delicious. I highly recommend the morning juices as well.!

The Works Omelet

We were over on this side of town and chose to use my buy one-get one birthday gift for breakfast. We've eaten at other First Watch restaurants, but this was our first time here. They weren't busy at all, so we were seated immediately. I ordered the healthy turkey omelette, subbing salad for the tomatoes and sourdough bread for the artisan toast. My husband got the Works omelette with the same sides. They were both delicious and filling. The restaurant was clean and pleasing to the eye. It's nice to know there's one here close to Costco on this side of town.

The food here is amazing. Unique and great flavors. The service is great too. Even though it was busy we always had our drinks filled and never really waited for anything. Server checked on us often. The meal was satisfying and we left full. Restaurant was clean and a little noisy due to the crowds. But it was pleasant to be there. The chickichanga was very flavorful and chicken was moist. The blueberry lemon muffin was AMAZING! Sweet but not overly sweet and super moist. Hubby loved his avocado toast with smoked salmon and fruit. He normally doesn't order food like that but saw someone else with it and wanted to try it. He also loved the morning mediation drink with the beet and orange juice with ginger and tumeric. While visiting family out here they told us about this place and they were right!! Amazing food, I wish we had this place near us. We will definitely return when we come back to visit.

Came here for brunch with a friend on a Sunday. Despite being busy, we were able to be seated in a reasonable amount of time and service was quick! The food and the juices were amazing! Great portions at a great price and great flavor! Definitely have to add this spot to my hangout rotation!

Just me that came in for breakfast after shopping early at Costco. Was greeted by a very nice young man to seat me. Then I had the most wonderful server, Josh. He treated me like a queen. They were very busy, because of the time of the year. But Josh never rushed me. He was very attentive and my food came right out. He checked on me a number of times to make sure everything was good for me. I had the Double Bacon Parmesan Hash that was delicious. With a great cup of coffee.

I'm talking about the Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich. I tend to be adventurous in my eating. I wanted to try this New Breakfast Sandwich at First Watch, but I was hesitant, because I don't care for bacon. Ordering this Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich was the BEST decision I've made in a while. It was delicious, down to the Bacon Maple jam. I strongly recommend you giving this a try. The pickled jalapeños were not hot, slightly spicy, and added the perfect touch. This is a MUST EAT!!!!

First time at this location. It was University of Arizona's parents weekend so the place was packed but we expected it. The gentleman when we checked in said it was about a 25 minute wait however we ended up waiting about 35 minutes to get seated. Credit to them when we did get seated they were relatively quick to get our food out to us. The food was delicious. Ordered the breakfast tacos and million dollar sandwich. Only complaint was that the million dollar sandwich left me still a bit hungry as it wasn't very big. Overall, nice place tasty food!

Elevated Egg Sandwich

We just had a very pleasant experience at this location for Easter brunch! Although they were packed we had no problem getting sat quickly, we opted for the bar since we were just two people. Our server helped me decide on the Elevated egg sandwich and I was not disappointed! The million dollar bacon is a great side to share because there are 4 slices of sweet goodness. I love that both our drinks came with a lil extra. This location has a good parking lot and a nice patio with pretty views of the mountains. I definitely enjoy this location for convenience and stellar service.

Mint Mocha on left and Honey Crunch on right

A great name for a breakfast place! A bit of a wait but worth it. I had the lemon ricotta pancakes. Super yummy. My daughter had the Pesto Bowl with a side of First Watch Potatoes (home fries). We each had a tasty iced coffee drink (Honey Crunch and Mint Mocha). This is a very popular place and there are several locations and they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'd love to come back and try this place for lunch or dinner one day.

Iced Honey Caramel Toffee Coffee
Jamie R.

The service was excellent. Our server (nice young lady) greeted us with a smile and was very personable. I had the honey caramel crunch iced coffee less caramel so it wouldn't be so sweet. It was delicious. The food: Elevated egg sandwich w/potatoes served on a hamburger bun with mayo, (not my preference as I'm more of a mustard kinda girl, but it was light) over medium cooked egg, avocado, lettuce and bacon with a lemony dressing. It was a good size so it was filling and delicious. The potatoes were good but not cooked to my liking (cooked thoroughly & crispy) they were cooked on the outside but just enough on the inside to be edible. They were seasoned good though. The Barbacoa chilequiles were delicious and the presentation was spot on. Overall, good experience and the food was good.

My friend tells me they have a turkey sausage option for those who don't eat pork sausage. Our waitress was very friendly, kept our waters filled and checked in on us often. All our food was well prepared and there were plenty of left overs. My mocha cold brew was full of flavor and not too sweet with lots of that coffee flavor shining through. So glad I ordered that with the optional whipped cream on top! Thanks to our friends information we received a military discount on our order. We won't see our friends for a while and we sat at the table talking. After paying our tab the waitress let us know we could stay to visit and offered to refill our waters if wanted. Very sweet. It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

9.5/10 | Absolutely Amazing!…read more Everything about this place was fantastic! I ordered the mole enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious. The mole tasted exactly how authentic mole should taste, rich and full of flavor. I even mixed my side of rice into the mole because it was THAT good! To drink, I had the Mazapán horchata, and WOW! Coming from El Paso, where there's no shortage of amazing horchata, I can confidently say this was probably the best I've ever had. For dessert, I had the pastel de galleta, and it was easily one of the best desserts I've ever tasted. So simple, yet so incredibly delicious! Only open for breakfast, this little coffee shop packs in a lot of charm. I parked in the small lot in front. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely charming. It's a grab-and-go place for some, but for those that stay, there's a decent amount of seating outside. You're surrounded by a nice garden area, so it makes for a nice place to enjoy your beverage or some food. As long as the weather cooperates. Service (5/5): You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. The lady working the counter was super friendly. A bright smile goes a long way. She was lovely. Drinks (5/5): While I'm not a coffee drinker, I'm a big fan of lemonade. They have a berry lemonade that has berries in it (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries). Good size and it was very refreshing. One of the best lemonades I've had in quite some time. Food (4/5): Barista is known for its breakfast burritos and I love a good breakfast burrito. You'll find your usual ingredients here for the most part e.g. chorizo, egg, potato, bacon, ham, etc. Which I could have easily done. Instead, I decided to roll the dice and get my burrito with macheca. Which is a dried out Sonoran beef jerky of sorts. Heavily spiced. With a bit of a kick. I had never had it, and I must say, I'm not a huge fan. The lady who took my order complicated this gringo on my selection, but too strong of a taste for me. I'm sure I would've enjoyed one of the other proteins more. With that being said, it's a good portion (essentially two burros) and it was grilled nicely. It made for a filling, and satisfying, breakfast on the road.
