Market veggie omelette with Colby jack cheese instead of goat cheese and a side of bacon

Great place for brunch. I prefer the veggies mixed into the egg instead of placed in the center of my omelette, but it was still very good. Eric was a great server, too

Sunday August 31st 10:30 AM. Our son found a hair on the pineapple in the fruit side. I turned to my right to look into the kitchen and realize there are some cooks with no hairnets or nothing over there beards and I was thinking to myself maybe that's where it came from... Our waitress could've been a little bit more bubbly or exciting she seems like she could use a cup of coffee or that she really didn't like her job. I don't think the service business and talking to people is her thing. The overall food and platters were really good. The service was average. We haven't been to this restaurant in quite some time. I was really excited to go with my family. However, the experience was slightly disappointing. Maybe just wished we had a different waitress to serve our table.

First time coming to this location and it was bigger than expected. We went in at 1030am on a Monday and there was no wait. We were seated immediately and the service was helpful and attentive. The food was delicious as always, I tried the salmon frittata for the first time and it was delicious. My husband did the avocado toast and he enjoyed it! I always enjoy plenty of natural light at restaurants and this place definitely did not disappoint with that. It wasn't too loud and we were able to enjoy conversation without raising our voices. I would recommend coming to this location again.

A nice meal but pretty sparse at $14+. Another pancake would have been welcome.

Stopped in while waiting for a relative's appointments to finish up. Ordered the special cinnamon chip pancake meal which comes with 1 large pancake, some bacon (or other meat of your choice), and 2 eggs cooked to order. Everything came fairly quickly and it was tasty. Not overwhelmingly good but just fine. Jagged Fork serves a much more exciting cinnamon pancake. At the $14+ price point one might expect a little more. It would have been nice to have the server check in more often too. Also, when cashing out their credit card tip lines start at 20%. Is this the new normal? Yes, I could have gone custom to get to 15%. It would have been more appropriate for the just ok service. A 3.5 score rounds to an overly generous 4. (Feel like I should also say " everyone knows the rules").

    Barbacoa quesadilla Benedict (seasonal)

Pro: Good ambiance. Fast service. Large variety on their menu. A brunch place where you don't have to wait in line for a hour. Con: Food very mediocre. The purple haze drink is pretty but way to sweet. Not refreshing. Barbacoa quesadilla Benedict is also very salty. Not a healthy place like they advertised. Don't plan to return.

Solid spot! Can't go wrong here ! So many offerings on the menu, and you can make a reservation which I find rare at breakfast spots. Service can be a little slow but that's alright bc this is more of a linger and eat place not a quick in and out.

Went to this location for the first time today and went with Avocado Toast from the Healthier Side menu (gotta start somewhere). The thick-cut whole grain toast was COVERED in fresh smashed avocado. Paired with the basted eggs, this was delicious! I highly recommend the location and menu. I look forward to going again soon!

First Watch is always a solid choice. The menu has a variety of options too! We came in around 1 ish and it wasn't all that busy. We had missed the breakfast rush. Thankfully, we got seated right away! My sister and I got the chorizo hash from the seasonal menu, while my other sister got a quesadilla and my mom got the lemon ricotta pancakes. Super filling! My moms pancakes weren't overly sweet which was good. The hash was flavorful, but didn't have much chorizo. Much more potatoes than meat. They also forgot to add scallions to my dish but remembered to add it to my sister's. My other sister's quesadilla looked like two tacos. She liked it but found that it didn't meet her expectations presentation-wise. Prices are reasonable here. Staff is friendly and service is quick! You don't wait long for your food which is great! Parking around here is chaos! There are other restaurants in this area, and even a Planet Fitness. The parking always looks perpetually filled. We did find a parking spot really close to First Watch though.

Didn't review First Watch last time I was in, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but two times of underwhelming experiences leads to this review. Ordered a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon (requested it chewy), potatoes and toast. Eggs were cooked fine; bacon was cooked to a crisp (nothing chewy about it), potatoes underdone (I crunched through a few); toast was ok. My food was warm, but not hot--I'm guessing mine was first in our order to be finished. As a former short order cook I was super underwhelmed. If you're looking for a trendy place and don't mind sub-par food, this is your place. Honestly next time I'll just go to a local Coney Island and find the food hotter and faster and cheaper.

I think I just have bad luck when it comes to First Watch locations. My boyfriend and I decided to try this one out today, since I had been to the other Troy location (Big Beaver/Rochester Rd.) a few years ago and had bad service - so much so that they gave me a $20 "Brunch Bites" card to come back, but due to the pandemic I hadn't used it yet. I figured we'd try this location today instead. First off, the food is always good at First Watch. I ordered the standard brunch platter which came with your choices of meats, as well as multigrain toast with jam, eggs, and potatoes. I don't eat eggs so I gave those to my boyfriend, and I got turkey sausage with it, since we got a side order of their "Million Dollar Bacon," which is always fantastic, and today was no exception. My boyfriend ordered an omelette and enjoyed it also. The first issue was that there was some sort of (syrup?) or something on the booth side of the table. I used a napkin and wiped it off. I went to use the bathroom and came back and apparently no one had come to the table yet. After about 10-15 minutes our waitress showed up and apologized. To preface the rest of this review: we could see she was working hard, she just had a lot of tables. I think this FW location is probably understaffed due to the pandemic. She took our drink + food orders and we got the food maybe 20 minutes later, which was fine. The other issue was that I asked for a box, when we were done eating, and waited ... hadn't seen our waitress yet, so we asked a busgirl, who never came back ... about 20 minutes later, the waitress came over with the box, finally. She also asked my boyfriend if he wanted a to-go drink order of his soda, I think as kind of a peace offering. Probably would not come back to this location again because of the service, unfortunately (friendly service but extremely slow) so I may have to try Big Beaver/Rochester again if I go to First Watch anytime soon. Their food is good (especially that bacon) but I'll probably try another brunch place in the area first, as Troy has no shortage of them.

    Lavender lemonade, very good!

Fine. Too institutionalized. No charm. Multigrain pancakes very good. Eggs undercooked. Service great.

I ordered the "Double Trouble" -- French toast loaded with cookie dough, Oreos, Nutella, and chocolate sauce. Let me just say... that dish is a train straight to diabetes. In all seriousness, it was absolutely delicious and indulgent, but definitely on the overly sweet side. If you have a serious sweet tooth, this one's for you. My wife went with the Classic Eggs Benedict, and that was excellent -- well-balanced flavors and cooked just right. The breakfast potatoes, however, were a bit bland. They were cooked well texture-wise but could definitely use more seasoning. Service was so-so, though it seemed like they were pretty busy, which likely played a role. The location is great -- conveniently about a mile from Woodside Church, one of the largest churches in Michigan -- so I can imagine it gets especially packed on weekends. One important note: restroom maintenance needs attention. With only a single restroom per gender, cleanliness is critical. My wife noticed the toilet seat wasn't clean, which is something that should be addressed promptly, especially in a high-traffic establishment. Overall, the food quality was strong, particularly the main dishes, and we'd likely return -- but there are definitely a few operational details that could elevate the experience.

Inside has lots of booth seating and a full bar which was unexpected. Single stall bathrooms but the hand blower is really up high which seemed out of place. Big menu with both breakfast and lunch options. Also tons of boozey drink options, which feels a little out of place at a breakfast/lunch place? Tried the Benedict and French toast. Both were good and tasty. The side of potatoes has good flavoring. Bacon is just right with the cook. The portions was very generous too.
