This place actually has pretty good food although you will wait 35-40 minutes for it. For me it isn't worth it. Service would be better if they hired better servers. Our server never checked on us, and not once did she notice that our food had not come out after 30 minutes. Not to mention that our trash/dirty dishes stayed on the table the entire time. Eventually the food comes out...well some it. So to sum up this experience. I would so give the place 4-5 stars because the food is AMAZING but the service sucks. So it kills the whole thing. I have been to this location a bunch of times since they have opened. Food is always flavorful. Menu selection takes a little bit of time to decide sometimes (everything is so good). Staff is crazy friendly. Wait time is usually only about 25 min on a really busy morning. Drinks are a little pricey (3.50 for chocolate milk) I will be returning many more times to this location. They also have a location in Pikesville. read more

Spontaneous trip to brunch cafe was successful! Drove 40 minutes feeling hungry, but left with nothing but good thoughts of the place! Our server, Emily, was by far the most attentive and sincere server I have ever had at any restaurant. Food was good, and the service was even better; who wouldn't leave happy? My friend got the healthy spring special bowl and I had the chicken spring special hash. Sorry for a crappy review but it was that good, that I don't have to say much haha read more

First Watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Timonium, Maryland

This was my first experience at First Watch, a Thursday morning at 9:30am. I should have turned around within 45 seconds of walking in because the the enclosed foyer smelled really sour and unpleasant; then the young woman employee who hastily met at the hostess stand did not make eye contact, asked for how many (1) and took me to a table smack in the middle of the restaurant, had to ask for something a little more tucked in (there were many empty tables, was placed close to the kitchen). My waitress, another young woman, was much more pleasant with great people skills. I ordered the "1/2 sandwich and salad entree" of the roast beef/havarti on sourdough and spicy pecan salad. I liked how the water was served in a chilled glass milk qt jar with a small glass. The first employee brought my plate out to me; I was reading and didn't see her approaching, she dropped the heavy plate in front of me with a huge clunked (startled me) and said a very robotic "enjoy", again without eye contact. After commenting my concerns to my waitress, she nicely said it was that employee's first job and that she would speak to her. My meal was no better: -the sandwich was very greasy...the sourdough was coated in orange cheese when grilled; the sandwich fell apart while I was eating it. -the quality of the roast beef was poor...it had that metallic silvery-red color with very little flavor....not fresh. -the havarti cheese was melted to oblivion -the salad was OVERDRESSED, about 1/3 cup of greens with about 1/2 cup of hot dressing (I do not recall the menu saying it was a "hot" dressing, was not expecting that). My waitress could not take the salad back to add more greens (health dept regulation) but did bring out a second salad of greens with the dressing on the side...and on this salad the chef forgot to put on the avocado slices....which at this point, I decided to not request anything else. I asked for a doggie bag...which was a nice cardboard box but way too small for the salad, but again at this point I was done and did not comment. -you pay at the hostess stand; a third young woman was manning the stand, was efficient, but did not ask anyone (3 parties there at same time) how their meals or experience). -also on a side note...while sitting at my table I observed another young woman staff busing tables....she used the same cloth on about 4 tables, only partially wiping down about a 1/4 of each table... *I think in part the very young (late teens-very early 20's?) staff accounts for part of my poor experience (they just do not seem to have the skill set or personal skills....who does at that age?). I did not see any older staff on the floor while I was there;even the one cook I could see from my vantage point into the kitchen looked to be very young...mid twenties? *I was also a little worried about ordering a lunch entree during breakfast hours, but my waitress assured me that everything on the menu was served at all times. read more

I enjoyed the simple offerings. Everything I tried was good! I'm a big soup, salad, and sandwich girl. My favorite casual chain is Panera Bread. This was a more refined version of Panera. Rather good. read more

The food and customer service at this restaurant is AWESOME!! I just moved to the area and needed to find new dining spots and for breakfast and lunch you can't get any better than this place, and I can promise you I've tried them all. I eat out every day because I rarely cook so it's important to find somewhere I can frequent daily or almost daily and this place is where I go almost every day for breakfast. I LOVE the healthy options and the omelets and frittata are my personal favorites. The veggies are so fresh and the customer service is so good that I've never gotten lukewarm food. The manager, Emily, makes me feel so welcome - like I'm eating at home. Tiffany, Amanda and Mona are super sweet, fast and just wonderful. I can't tell you how much I absolutely LOVE this place! I can see why they're always busy when I come. The food is to die for and the prices are amazing for the quality and taste of the food. If you haven't been here yet; I highly recommend it and would give it 6 stars if I could. read more

I had visited a First Watch in Scottsdale, Arizona last week and had a wonderful lunch from the soup and half sandwich selections. I was motivated to check out if these restaurants were in my home state and was thrilled that one existed in Columbia, MD. Today a friend and I had lunch at this site. I ordered a salad and half sandwich and was very disappointed by the Cobb salad. My salad was much smaller, no way near half of my friend's whole Cobb salad, and did not include a couple of toppings that were supposed to be part of the salad. My salad had an over abundance of chopped egg but did not have any turkey or avocado at all. My friend was not served any bread that was supposed to come with her salad. When I pointed out to a server the shortcomings of my salad, he brought out a small dish of turkey. I was too weary to ask for another dish with avocado. By contrast, the half veggie sandwich was very tasty. I'm not sure a return is warranted. read more

Breakfast was delicious. Everything was fresh tasting. The kids pancake was huge! Their toast is so yummy! I would definitely return it back in the area. read more

This was a real treat! Lemon curd ricotta pancakes, smoked salon and herbed frittata, million dollar maple bacon, and tons of healthy interesting options! Plus pots of coffee on the table. We will be back soon!! read more

My son took me there this morning for Mother's Day! The place was packed.. but we only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We were greeted by Kevin and that is when the wonderful service started. The food was delicious and again the service spectacular. Will I drive the 40 minutes to eat brunch there again?.. in a heartbeat! Thank you for making the start of my mothers day fantastic! Oh and thanks for the box of chocolates! read more

While the servers are excellent; polite, helpful and chipper, I will no longer be visiting this restaurant. During each of my ten or so visits, my food has been made poorly and in a delayed fashion by the kitchen manager and staff. In my most recent visit, my salad was delayed until my companion had finished his meal because the kitchen had begun closing prematurely. When my food was finally brought out by the apologetic waitress, we found that my simple order had been messed up. When the kitchen manager was made aware of this, he threw together an addition to my meal rather than fixing it. All in all, the phenomenal care and service I received was not enough to convince me to revisit. read more

Really enjoyed my brunch with the family. We went as a group on a Sunday AM, and were sat right away. Server was great, and the food was pretty great. I had the Chicknchanga. It was one of the best breakfast items I have ordered in a while. It was basically a crepe with eggs, green chilie, chorizo and deliciousness. I recommend highly, and will be back. read more

My fiance and I went here for the first time today after reading the great reviews but in the first 5-10 mins it was a disappointing experience. When we walked in, the guy who was seating people just stared at us from across the room before we were seated. Once seated at the table we were greeted by dirty glasses. The actual waiter for our table skipped us to take both the drink and food order for the man next to us, who came in and was seated after us. After walking past us he returned to offer us coffee or water, no inquiry on whether we were ready to order. We did not stay, it wasn't looking like it would be a promising experience. read more

Food was excellent - fresh & delicious...staff was courteous & responsive...will definitely go back!

Great new restaurant in Timonium. Breakfast was outstanding. Plenty if hot coffee and ample room to read the paper. Sidewalk breakfast was a nice addition. The omelette was one of the best I've had in the area. We will return for breakfast and am looking forward to trying lunch. read more

The selection of food I have gotten is usually good. This good Friday was a bit of a miss. The sausage had a soft consistency and tasted nasty. The utensils were dirty, hope they don't cut corners with cleanliness when they have a crowd. The waitress was in a bit of a rush so she wasn't as courteous about listening before rushing off. The rudest part was when she called me a good girl after asking if I liked my food. I am neither a girl or a dog. I am going to put off going any time soon, maybe after the holidays. read more

After going to SkyZone nearby, we got brunch at First Watch. I was initially a bit skeptical based on the name - sounds more like some sort of medical device than a restaurant, but their food and service was fantastic. I got the "elevated egg sandwich," which was a brioche bun with egg, avocado, and bacon. I added in some onions which came with the potatoes on the side. There were so many other things I wanted to try on the menu, so I will have to come back! read more

Fresh , fun, attentive, great service. They have a few locations but the service for a chain was a plus, healthy live style choices and good coffee. read more

Excellent brunch place. Generous portions and fresh ingredients. Good pancake and clever specials. Plus can't beat the pricing. I wouldn't make a special trip, but definately worth a stop if in the area. read more

I came here for breakfast on Sunday morning and enjoyed my "healthy" breakfast. The restaurant is small, cute and no-frills. We sat down immediately and our server was excellent. I tried their kale juice which was fresh and delicious. Everything we ordered was good and I don't remember last time two of us could get brunch for about $20 at a sit down restaurant. Would love to have this option in the city! read more

Sooo yummy! I just absolutely love the small café the food is delicious they serve breakfast and lunch. Everything is so fresh and clean the restaurant is super cute with the farmhouse decor, the only thing I would suggest is better service. The day we went only one waitress was working and she was running around the best she could read more

I love First Watch's wait list on the app. Super quick check-in and seat quickly. Food is decent. Only gripe is the a la carte breakfast menu. read more

First Watch is an awesome place for a healthy, ingredient conscious breakfast. The Key West Crepe-eggs are outstanding - slightly sweet crepe, fresh turkey, bacon, avocado, super duper. Fresh English muffins are great- ask them to toast them to crispy because they can be mildly doughy if that's not your style. They are almost always on a wait, but they offer free coffee and there's only been one time where I had to wait for that. Overall an outstanding breakfast place, especially if you are looking for healthy options. read more

You Yelpers are in serious need of a good breakfast, because this place just isn't it. You want good - run to your nearest Ihop and feast on fluffy pancakes, served with four flavored syrups, or choose from waffles, French toast, eggs and anything else your imagination can whip up, to include lunch and dinner items. I do like the idea of healthy options, which there are plenty of, at this establishment. An outdoor dining is another plus, in my opinion - but, the positives stop there. I ordered a bacon, tomato, avocado eggs benedict. A tiny wedge of avocado atop the eggs benedict, which beneath there lay a day old slice of bacon and an unripe tomato slice. My mom ordered the Caps, etc. Ample mushrooms arrived piping hot in a small bowl with melted cheese on top, not a cheese sauce - but, melted. Well, after a few minutes, the melted cheese looked like glue. Mom just peeled off the layer - how unappetizing was that? Very! Eggs are eggs, but with the runny yolk and no buttered English muffins accompanying this dish, mom waited five minutes for her waitress to return with the butter. By then, though, her muffins were no longer warm and the yolk, left on the plate. Another disappointment. The hubby wasn't very hungry, so he chose a tomato soup. He says he like it and I thought it way to acidic for my liking. One last thing, the potatoes weren't real, come to think of it - several of the menu items were either unripe, not real, missing something and not plentiful. A total disappointment. read more

Yum. Everything was great. Service, food is creative and fresh. Keep up the good work.

First not-so-bad! Eh-- my blueberry pancakes were standard issue, as was my bacon, and coffee was forgettable- not truck-stop gagging, but no so good. Real maple syrup a plus- granted you pay a premium for it. My wife's fancy salad was good- pecans and bacon and chicken and mesclun- but honestly we can whip that up at home easy, and her bread slice was a little stale and her iced coffee too sweet. My son's Monte Cristo was tasty enough, but again not outstanding- just standard fare. If I was hungry in a strange city and saw this place, I'd go because I know I'd get decent fare. Otherwise- just OK, not worth a repeat visit. read more

Giving them one more star because management responded to my review. We probably won't be back but it says a lot for First Watch that they care about their customers experience. Try it for yourself. They have lots of happy diners. read more

The place is slow and disorganized. It took too long to be served, 15 minutes. We ordered bacon and eggs, grits and toast. They didn't bring the toast with the meal. They told us "the toast is coming." Five minutes later the toast came after asking them for it again. Who eats toast after the bacon and eggs. read more

Blueberry crunch pancakes are sooooooo good. Always good service and I like the home fries as well.

Great new place for breakfast /lunch in the 'ville. It's a full service cafe that is bright, comfortable, new and clean. Food is great w large breakfast/lunch menu you can order all day. Good coffee, friendly staff. They serve 10 types of pancakes! read more

Decent breakfast. I came here with my mom and we had literally the weirdest waiter ever. I had to bite my tongue every time he came over because he was so odd. SUPER nice though. It's not close to where I live so I don't know I'll be back, but overall it was a pleasant breakfast. read more

Great service, a pot of coffee for $2.39, lots of food for a good price! The pumpkin pancake was the best pancake I have ever had. The crepegg was interesting, not my favorite but still good. The potatoes with the crepegg were also good not great, could use a little more seasoning for my taste. All of the food was really fresh so I felt healthy eating so much! Would become a regular here if I lived here! read more

I have been to First Watch two times now and while the food is good, the kitchen takes literally FOREVER. to get the food out. The menu has a good variety of choices, and the juices are great, I just wish the food could be faster coming out. The first experience going there wasn't great, our server seemed like she would rather be anywhere but at work. She didn't refill water quickly, or check in. Of course the food took a long time as I've said. The second experience was better in the fact that the server was super friendly and attentive but again, the wait is ridiculous. Especially for breakfast food. Not sure if I would go again. read more

I love First Watch. My boyfriend and I were in the area and we decided to stop. Food was okay, didn't get avo in my hash, bacon wasn't how we asked, slow slow service. I probably wouldn't return to this First Watch. read more

Love the pancakes! The coffee is also better than most restaurants. I came to this place after running 41-miles for my birthday. The weather was just right for outdoor seating. Our waiter was beyond great. He was a step ahead of every question/request we had and was happy (at least he gave the illusion) to be at work to be our server. Nice work First Watch! read more

Great place for brunch. Our first visit was not great. The food was not good and tasted flavorless. We decided to give it another try a few months later and walked into a newly renovated space. Definitely felt more bright and airy and more clean. This time, the food was much better. The omelette and hash was yum. Next time, girls brunch! read more

Their coconut chia pudding is to die for and the morning meditation juice is a perfect start to the day. I'm not a morning person but will happily jump out of bed (even if I were hungover!) to get breakfast here. This place just makes me happy read more

I went to First watch for my first time about 4 months ago the manager was my my first contact person . He was very courteous. We did not have to wait long to be seated. On my first visit I had Emma for my waitress when she came to take our order she greeted us with a friendly hello and took our drink order. When Emma came back to take our order I ordered the Banana foster french toast and it was so good. Emma gave us outstanding service. I've returned about 4 times since then. On my last visit I got the sweet honey pecan salad for the 3rd time. I love it and u am addicted it is the best I've ever had after having it at other restaurants and it is outstanding. We got very lucky to have Emma as our server again. I was so impressed by her because she remembered us from serving us before and what was most impressive is when I ordered my pecan salad again she remembered everything about how I did not want avocado and chicken on the side. I told her that love her outstanding service, gave her an extra tip and also told her manager about how much I love her service. Emma I love you and your outstanding service. You're my number 1 read more

Awesome! I got the brûlée banana waffle and it was amazeballs. It's on the summer menu.

Great place!! Very friendly staff. Our server, LA (Laura Ann) was fantastic! The food was really good. I had the BLT Benedict, which was excellent. The place was very clean. Quite busy for a week day. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely go there again when I am in this area. read more
