Sad truth but good food and taste were PHENOMENAL. However the host was so condescending & sarcastic with my family. Made the entire experience miserable. We were treated by a sarcastic male host that was so condescending, my family and I couldn't ignore it to enjoy our time together. Everyone but me are locals so it's sad that First Watch treats their local clientele in such a terrible fashion. Don't get me wrong, food was amazing but I don't know if it's worth the treatment from their male host to come back again. What a bummer. We had put our name in on the app...got right in our car and drove there. Checked in with the "owner" and he was so rude and aggressive with us!!! Told us since we were 4 minutes past checkin time, we would be put back on the list and it would be 2 hours! We will never go there agin! Way to treat your customers, "owner!" read more

If you're looking for good service, I nominate First Watch. My boyfriend and I dined here on Sunday morning: our first dine-in experience since the shut down. I was really excited to try it. We were seated immediately. They took all necessary precautions: masks, no condiments or anything on table, wrapped silverware, my own coffee flask for refills. I have to say, the coffee they use is divine; I had the decaf which is disappointing at most places, but not here. Delightful. Plus, they have stevia! Woohoo! Our server was super nice. Our food was good, though boyfriend says he'd prefer sausage gravy (because who wouldn't), and the presentation was cute. The things that blew me away about this meal were the fruit preserves that came with my waffle, and the coffee. I had a bite of his potatoes, too, which were pretty good. 4 stars: Brightly lit, clean, well-rounded menu, good food, and good service. I'd come back again in the future. read more

Per my wife's request we had to stop at a "brunch place." This used to be where the Egg and I was located. First Watch had a 30 minute wait when we got there but my wife insisted we wait. Overall it was worth the wait. I got the French toast with 2 strips of bacon and an over easy egg. My wife got the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. The food here is good, but the service is what makes me not willing to try it again. The second we walked in a grumpy man told us that since we had 8 people he would be separating our group to different sides of the restaurant. This defeats the purpose of going to eat with your family and kids. We checked in before coming to the restaurant to avoid a long wait. I've eaten here about once or twice a year in the almost five years I have lived in St. George. I honestly love their specials. They are always spot on and flavorful. The rest is lightly elevated normal breakfasts foods, and they do that decently. Plate presentations are typically neat. My biggest pet peeve are the unpicked salads. That tiny bit of extra effort makes a huge difference. I have always felt that they fall short with their waitstaff. There aren't many breakfast places in St George, and only a handful serve something elevated. So, naturally, First Watch is usually packed. Kudos, genuinely. However, knowing that, and now seeing the pattern of other not so positive reviews, wouldn't you want to put a better system in place? If I had not taken a moment to breathe and stand up for myself today, my experience here would have absolutely shattered me. You never know what someone is going through. I want to thank Teala for the Most positive energy and kind hearted demeanor, for allowing me space and not making me feel awkward for being emotional. I hope you know Teala's worth. Visiting in the area and of course we were starving. Found this cute little cafe by asking a local business person for a recommendation. He didn't recommend this one but we found it driving by. Its in a small strip mall and is absolutely charming. Clean and well kept and very friendly staff. The hours are breakfast through lunch and they close at 2:30. We arrived at 2:00 and were feeling a bit guilty but no one made us feel rushed. The menu is diverse, lots of breakfast and lunch selections. We ended up with avocado toast which came on a very nice thick slice of whole grain bread and accompanied by two eggs. The menu said basted but both of us wanted a different preparation and there was absolutely no problem with that. The avocado was thick and creamy and very plentiful. Delicious. When we left we were the only ones left and it was after closing time but again, the cashier said thank you for coming with a smile on her face. Well worth going back read more

We've tried this place in AZ and loved it. So we were excited it came to Ut. We went on Memorial Day and it actually wasn't busy. But we were very disappointed in the food. My eggs were over cooked and my potatoes and sausage were completely burnt. My husbands egg Benedict wasn't great either. Service was good. Everyone was very nice. I'm sure they would've replaced my potato's and sausage but we were in a hurry. Also why would you be ok with sending this out to begin with. read more

Great breakfast food and service. I have been to a few locations and the food is always amazing.

Before you go, make sure you get in line on their website to save you time. The wait time can go as far out as 2 hours at times. When you get there go checkin and you'll get a new wait time (much shorter). You can go back out to your car and wait and the restaurant will text you when your table is ready. I love this feature! The menu has many healthy options. Their eggs benedict is what I usually get, and they are yummy! But today we got a breakfast burrito and biscuits and gravy. These dishes where good but I would get the eggs benedict next time. If you know that you love something don't change, lol!! The staff were all so kind and all worked as a team. This place is busy and to stay happy and keep things flowing like they do is an art! Way to go team! read more

Overall, First Watch was an alright experience. This was our second time coming here after a full year, and my opinion doesn't seem to have changed. The waitress that we had was very solid, and I had absolutely no complaints with her. I ordered the avocado chicken chop salad and Monterey club sandwich from two for you menu, and across from me was the chicken cob salad and the roast beef with havarti sandwich. The drinks we got were the caramel crunch coffee and the lavender haze, of which both were the best parts of the meal. The avocado was initially forgotten from my salad, but that was amended pretty quickly, but it was okay at best regardless. The sandwich was no better, as it was far too salty from the turkey lunch meat and the bacon it came with, with no other flavor, but the variety in texture saved it from being bad overall. If you're absolutely curious about trying the drinks, it might be worth a visit once or twice, but otherwise, I won't be returning. read more

We used to frequent the Egg and I, so we weren't sure what the First Watch would be like. We went with the avocado toast, the traditional breakfast and million dollar bacon! My wife said the avocado toast was the best she has ever had! The flavor and textures were spot on. The traditional breakfast was quite good. Sausage, eggs, potatoes and toast. This place has always been way too busy every time we come down to St George so we had never gone. Today we had the time to go during a weekday and it was the best decision of this trip. Walking in the workers were pleasant and happy to be there genuinely. The food was quality and delicious. We will be back for sure. I had originally tried this place in Austin, TX and was thrilled to see one close to Las Vegas in St. George! The must try items are definitely the million dollar bacon which is essentially bacon smothered in maple syrup, cayenne pepper and black pepper it truly is chefs kiss! The purple haze drink I purchased was SO good! I usually do get the farmhouse hash skillet and it's always so tasty but this time they were missing the cheese which is a deal breaker for me. I told the waitress and she insisted the cheese was under the eggs, which it wasn't. She had asked if I wanted a side of cheese (which had me confused, as it would be cold shredded mozzarella on the side) or have them add cheese. I requested for them to add cheese so they took my skillet to the back and within 3 minutes it came out with a wad of "melted" cheese on the top which looked truly unappetizing. I did end up eating about 60% of the skillet and it was just OK. The place is absolutely adorable and has plenty of seating on a busy day. This is such a fun brunch place!! We had seen great reviews for this place, so even the 45 minute wait didn't scare us away. Once we finally got seated it was still a bit of a wait for us to get our food, but it didn't disappoint. They have freshly squeezed juices, and our waiter even brought us samples of each. We tried the golden glow pineapple juice and the morning meditation beet juice and both were fabulous. I usually never order juice when eating out, but this place is different. I am somewhere between 4* and 5*, but they get the full 5 because they "made it right" when something needed fixing. That gets them the extra star. So I have heard about this, and because I had a discount card, I decided to give it a try. They hit all the high notes right at the front -- clean, airy, contemporary styling, plenty of space without a lot of noise. Menu was diverse, prices as expected for a more upscale experience. We opted to try the Million Dollar Bacon, because of the discount we had, we thought we would splurge a little. As it came out, it was a little over cooked, so they offered to make it again. Then it seemed a little undercooked, but they let me keep both -- because of this we discovered how great "bacon sprinkled with bacon" can be! The undercooked was chewy and flavorful, the overcooked crunchy and smoky ... combined it was exceptional! Meanwhile, back at the regular meal -- avocado toast is heightened by a nice thick cut of grainy bread... perfect balance to the hefty amount of avocado -- may be my most favorite AVtoast ever! Perfectly runny egg and Malden sea salt... yummy. Eggs Benedict we perfectly cooked (as its really easy to overcook and they did not... smart move). Flavors were epic, and we were already planning the next visit before we left this one. If I had a criticism, I would recommend meats that are uncured with no nitrates/nitrites... as they have upscaled their offerings with local, organic and so on, this should be a natural thing to offer as well. I am certain its more expensive, however organic, grass fed, locally sourced are all buzz words that let people know up front why they are better than everyone else. Uncured bacon and meats does the same and really helps those that need to eat clean find a breakfast place... minor detail, but makes a difference to many. read more

2.5 - Outside of the restaurant is strip mall-esque but when you walk inside it looks kind of like a farm to table place. Looks nice and you feel like maybe you've stumbled on a hidden gem. Menu items all look and sound delicious. They seemed knowledgeable about GF dishes, and when the food came out, it all looked absolutely beautiful. Just as we had hoped! But then, as we tasted our food, it was just.... meh. There were 8 of us and we all had the same experience. It wasn't bad. There was nothing wrong with any of it... it just... wasn't great.
