My wife and I loved this place. Took a friend there and he was very impressed as well. I had the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos and my wife had a breakfast burrito. Trust me, it didn't disappoint. I thought I'd still be hungry but I was full after those tacos. I also had an iced coffee. I'm a coffee snob so I wasn't expecting much. But somehow this was very refreshing and tasty. I was deeply impressed with it. Naturally, my favorite part was the friendly and helpful staff. The waitress made genuine suggestions on the food and was very helpful to all of us. During these hard times, you want to see staff that really care about their patrons and the staff here genuinely did. Ultimately, I'd definitely suggest checking them out someday. read more

We've been here a few times now and I've yet to leave a review. Overall the experience is pleasant. The waitstaff is always attentive and attentive. The food is okay and the coffee is decent enough. It's a pretty standard menu of breakfast/brunch items. The only real fault I can find is the food lacks any real seasoning. It's all pretty monotone or along the lines of something I could whip up at home, without the price tag. The kids waffles are pretty tasty though and I wish I had ordered that for myself. I'm giving three stars because we have gone several times and never had a HORRIBLE experience there but each item I've ordered a different menu items, it's meh and not mind blowing. read more

Cute breakfast place. Great food. A little pricey though. I've been here twice, and I'll definitely be back once in a while. Just today I was thinking about how good the breakfast here was.... read more

If you like food to be flavorless, but look very pretty on the plate, then First Watch is for you. And if you like service that is inattentive where they don't pre-bus or refill water, definitely visit this location! It's extremely busy here so a lot of people don't mind it. I have a guess but that would be stereotyping. read more

First Watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Plano, Texas

Terrible service, the host was very kind but we were quoted a 20-25 minute wait that turned into a 50+ minute wait. We first waited 30 minutes before asking how much longer they were thinking it would take and then we were told "less than 7 minutes". That then turned into 15 more minutes and at that point we just left. It is absolutely crazy to wait over 45 minutes for a table for 2 when you're quoted 20 minutes. It has been over 50 minutes now and they still haven't even texted saying our table is ready. I have eaten at a first watch before, and the food is decent, but not good enough to deal with stupid mess like this. I don't recommend wasting your time here. read more

We enjoyed our breakfast here very much. The food was excellent and definitely on the healthier side. This is a very popular café near me and I often see people waiting outside to get in so go early! They have a large breakfast menu and everything is really fresh and delicious. I love the omelettes and fresh fruit. The waiters are very attentive to refilling your drinks. If you order hot tea, they gave your own little pot of hot water! read more

Wow, i was surprised to see this breakfast place pop up in Plano, surprised again to see that it was a chain, and then pleasantly surprised with the food and the price. All delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. You get your check at the table and pay up front (I really like this system; no waiting on the server to get your card back). I really enjoyed my egg sandwich with generous amounts of avocado and thick sliced bacon. The potatoes were nicely seasoned as well! Make sure to give this place a try. Feels cleaner and newer than the surrounding diners/IHOPs and the food is fresher, and it's got cool options too for all diets. read more

Gosh, I've been coming to the Plano location since it opened. The food and service have always been friendly. However, during the past year or two, the food quality has declined, and also the service is sub-par. This morning, the coffee was barely warm and tasteless, very watered down. I asked for another pot, same thing. waitress just shrugged. The music was too loud (acknowledged by the waitress). The bread was not toasted (as it should be, acknowledged by the waitress). The ingredients in my omelet were cold, bacon was chewy and bland, eggs were just above being cold, pancake had three blueberries in it and was thinner and smaller that it usually is. The waitress said she couldn't do anything and just shrugged. When I went to pay, the "manager" asked me how everything was and I told her. She basically shrugged also and said she couldn't do anything. The credit card machine wasn't working, it took four times for it to accept my card. Again, she said, "it's a machine and I can't do anything". So, basically the manager (huge language barrier) and waitress cannot do anything about the poor food quality and even poorer service. Maybe you at Corporate can do something? I've not going back. They basically just wipe tables off, never bothering to clean the booths and flooring. read more

My family and I loved it! Good food, excellent service, nice atmosphere but a little too loud to bed honest. I couldn't work from here. It's popular so be prepared to wait on the weekends but it's worth it. Nice to finally have a breakfast spot closer to home here in Frisco/McKinney near 380. read more

Great breakfast venue, but expensive. I had breakfast with my monthly breakfast group and was impressed by the efficiency of service and the friendly atmosphere. The grits are served yellow and taste as if they are made with corn meal, they also offer cheese grits. The scrambled eggs are fresh, actually scrambled in the pan using whole eggs. Everything is fresh and made to order. The best experience was our server Danny . He is the best waitperson I have had in ages, constantly checking if everything was good, refilling drinks without having to be asked. He is a true asset to the business, he could be in a five star venue and be extremely successful. read more

This joint is super packed on weekends. Definitely get on the waiting list on Yelp as that will get you a spot in line on a busy Sunday. Our server was fantastic, attentive and super friendly. I do believe this restaurant will help to revive this part of Plano in terms of places to dine in the area. Anyway, there are various menu options to choose from, you can go super healthy with it (think avo toast with cage free eggs) or be a little naughty. Everything has calorie counts on it so at least you are informed. The coffee is phenomenal. Get some to take home as well. I enjoy this place and will return when I'm in the area visiting fam. read more

First Watch - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Plano, Texas

My friends have raved about this place and I finally tried it and it was delicious. They have so many locations so I'll definitely be back.

I've finally found a place I can get biscuits and gravy!! I don't eat pork so I can never order this dish anywhere. When I saw that First Watch uses turkey sausage, I knew immediately I was ordering that. The dish is hearty enough on its own, but it also comes with potatoes! We went in on a busy Saturday, but since I checked in on Yelp, we had no wait once we got there. They have a great menu to choose from and really good healthy fair options if that's what you are looking for. My husband got the quinoa power bowl which was good (I snuck in a taste). I really enjoyed by biscuits and gravey with two over medium eggs. The table also ordered the veggie omelet which comes with potatoes and toast. My MIL got a "whipped" egg dish but it was like a scramble (not light and airy that comes to mind when you hear whipped). They have a summer menu that has a kale juice on it - delicious and refreshing. Definitely coming back here. read more

We've eaten brunch here a couple times now and love the food here. The restaurant is decent size but there's always a line, which is a good sign. They have an assortment of fresh juices including a kale drink that is delicious and refreshing. The last time we were here I ordered the avocado toast and absolutely loved it. They don't skimp on the avocado here. They're able to accommodate large groups and are kid friendly. read more

Went to First Watch Plano today. I ordered a chorizo omelet with potatoes as a side. The potatoes fried with onions were mostly burnt. My omelet had an over abundance of canned green chiles in it and very little else. The chiles weren't even warm. It was like they dumped a can right into the omelet! So much for "farm fresh"! The waitress was sweet and apologetic about the potatoes and offered to bring grits. They were good, except they had lumps of uncooked grits in the mix. Maybe it was a bad day, but I don't think I'll go back. read more

Wow! The food is so so so delicious! Appropriately priced too. I was happy to see healthy options too. I will be back!

On Sundays, definitely recommend getting there early (i.e. before 9:30ish). You can't call ahead to get on the wait list but apparently you can get in line online through their app (didn't know that). If you're wanting a place to sit, eat, and chat awhile, you'll feel slightly guilty for taking up space while the masses are waiting for your table. Oh, but breakfast was tasty. Simple waffle & bacon for me. The bacon was crispy as requested, but fatty. My friend enjoyed her breakfast, as well. Egg white omelette with veggies, looked good. read more

The wait time here is always ridiculous. After 11:00AM good luck. We have been waiting for 30 min - and we did the check-in online - apparently this is of no use. Why even bother having an option to check-in online if it does no good. read more

I ordered a Morning Market Veg Omlette with a side of hashed avacados. The food and the service was good, no complaints about it whatsoever. Towards the end of the meal I realized that I was eating a piece of meat. After a while I noticed that it was a piece of Chorizo. I can be certain about that because I generally eat meat, and I have eaten Chorizo in the past. There are some religious days on which I do not eat meat, and unfortunately this was one of those days. I reported this incident to the server and she in turn informed the manager. After a while she came back and apologized for what had happened, and told me that the manager can provide 20% discount for this incident. I said I am not looking for any discount as I had already eaten almost 95% of the meal, paid the bill in full along with the tip and left the place. I feel that the manager failed to do his duty over here. Ideally, he should have taken the responsibility of this, talked to me and maybe apologized for what had happened. But all he could do was send an offer of 20% discount through the server. I am NOT looking for any freebies, but the expectation is that all the customers are treated with respect. I would have given 4-stars for the food and service, but the way this incident was handled, I don't think they deserve more than 2-stars. read more

Kate was a great server and food was wonderful! Love first watch! The coffee was so great and fresh.

First thing make sure on a weekend get on the yelp waitlist because it's so busy. Even when we got there we were told another 40 minutes. So be prepared to wait. They have a big menu. First time coming to this location. Let's start with the bad. Do not bring me a biscuit that is broken into 3 pieces that you tried to piece back together and didn't even piece it back together right. If the biscuit has broken into pieces then don't serve it! The gravy is not good. As somebody said they are serving "Thanksgiving gravy" with the biscuits. Biscuit really dry too. Ok biscuit rant over. Avacado toast is really really good. Eggs are good. Good cold brew. They have some special each day that sound really good. Big props to being able to get on the list online before you arrive. Big big plus!! read more
