Been eating at First Watch for many years. It has been a valley staple for breakfast for several decades. Nice place to get breakfast and lunch but always packed, so plan accordingly. The Honey Pecan Salad, the Million Dollar Bacon, and Pumpkin Pancakes are the bomb! They do have seasonal menus and items too. However, I am sure you will find a meal to your liking. I have eaten at locations all across the valley and in other states and they are aways super cute with the decor. Today my server was Rae ( I hope I am spelling that correctly) and she was amazing! Brunch with Brooke: Pulling up to first watch it was moderately busy but they got us seated fairly fast. Options were inside out side or first available. Looking into the menu everything was $10 a plate I got a egg sammy with avocado, bacon x potatoes on the side a iced coffee. Brooke got biscuits with turkey sausage, gravy with eggs x potatoes on the side a coke. WITH a muffin of the day (blueberry). No complaints everything was delicious. Good food! Great atmosphere. Nice place for brunch. The service is excellent! Myself and a friend had brunch here. There was about a 15 minute wait, but it's worth it. I had the chorizo Chile omelet. We had never been there and we saw there were several of them around town. Whoever wrote the menu must be an excellent writer. However the food doesn't really match the description. Bloody Mary very ordinary even with the limp million dollar bacon on it. Eggs were over cooked, so was the bacon we had with the breakfast. The toast and jam was good. Waitstaff: 3 stars did not get the drink correct. Waitstaff: 1 star for taking orders, skipped one person, had ask waitstaff to take food order. Food: 0 StarsThe kitchen staff does not know how to correctly make a poached egg. Apparently they did not read the warning on the menu about under cooked eggs or they would not have the sent them. O stars: Want a re-fire on my meal, but didn't see the waitstaff for a very, very long time. Give up and chocked down the food. This chef can not recommend this establishment . read more

I had this delivered on a Sunday and I went with the belgian waffle and morning meditation. The juice was okay but the waffles were not. I am not sure if it was the fact that they were delivered and maybe too long on the counter but they were too soft. I think waffles should be a little crisp. I would likely try other stuff on the menu but probably stop by rather than delivery. read more

I gave them a reluctant 4 stars. 5 for service - everyone was very kind and quick to offer suggestions and service was prompt, especially appreciated as we were in a hurry. 3 on food though - nothing wrong with it, but nothing special that I would return for. They did have a berry toast seasonal special that my partner loved and swears is worth returning for but I didn't care for it. So to each their own! After attempting to get into another crazy, loud brunch spot, First Watch was a welcome respite. Immediate seating, a broad menu with healthy options, comfy booths to accommodate a group, and fast delivery of our meals. The service was a bit spacey. For example, there are non-dairy coffee creamers on the table but I was hoping for some real dairy for my coffee. I asked the server for milk for the coffee and she pointed at the creamers and so I said again, cream or milk? And she offered that they had "only" half and half. Uh, yeah. That's what I mean. Anyhoo a couple other random bobbles, but otherwise a pleasant visit. My omelette was tasty and the bread that came with it was hearty and delicious. We stopped in after hearing how good the place was. There are many of these all over the country. This one was very good. Nice staff and quick service. Everyone liked the food. French toast, omelets, pancake with bacon and eggs. It was very clean and easy in and out. The parking lots is a little small and right on the busy street. But that's all you can say negatively. First time here from a quick overnight trip. Lots to choose from on the menu from traditional to healthy eats. Farmhouse exposed beam work large spacious bench and cushion seating. Service was wonderful friendly upbeat. Order the avocado toast and eggs and season potato and pal order the multi grain pancake. Lots of avocado indeed !! Eggs were over over easy/medium enough to dunk your toast in. The multi grain pancake was delicious light fluffy and 1 may not just be enough! Water is served from old classic glass milk bottles. Farmstand Breakfast Tacos. One of the best things to order on the menu! I changed out the side of beans for a cup of fruit. The staff is friendly and this spot is always looking clean. I also love to order their iced coffee and I recommend it to anyone who loves sweet iced coffee. Parking can be hard to find, depending on how busy it is. Because it is right off from the street, parking can be limited. read more

Shout out to First Watch for always bringing their A game! While downtown visiting my daughter we decided to get some breakfast. This location was so easy to find. It was a super small parking lot so I can imagine on a busy day it may be hard to get into, but so worth it if you can. The location is pretty big and decor was cute! Our server was so nice and friendly. We had our drinks quickly as well as our food. My go to is usually the Floridian French Toast or Eggs Benedict but I swore to myself I'd try something new today. I'm so glad I did because the Elevated Egg Sandwich was out this world! It comes on a Brioche Bun with an over easy egg with bacon, gruyere cheese, fresh smashed avocado, Mayo and lemon dressed arugula. It comes with a side of seasoned potatoes. So good. I also had a side of fruit. My daughter loves their traditional meal so she stuck with that. We never had to wait for anything from our server; she was on the ball. I love First Watch. I have never had one bad experience to any location I've been at. I just recently moved to Tempe and this seems like the closest one to me. I came with my mom and it was delightful like always. Their potatoes are my favorite part. If you don't know what to order, I'd say do the traditional breakfast. Nice country style atmosphere adds to their robust menu! Menu changes with seasons and this week is no exception as we exit summertime. Ron had the smoked pork chop topped with diced apples and compote, l had the pumpkins pancake with scrambled eggs. Both dishes were on point, very enjoyable! I placed an online order through their website. Order was to be ready at 10:09a, I showed up at 1020a, order still not ready. Order was handed to me at 1039a (30 minutes after it was supposed to be ready). By the way, I ordered a salad. They forgot the drink I ordered with it. I had to remind them about that. Then I get home to find out they didn't include utensils (which their website specifically asks about) and they forgot the bread that comes with the salad. If you are familiar with the First Watch franchise then you know that this place serves up delicious traditional breakfast/lunch options with a health conscious effort in mind. Delicious omelets, soups, sandwiches, salads, coffee, and juice. The hot coffee is excellent, no bitter taste, and their cold brew coffee is just as good, though pricey at $3.99 for 1 glass. It is a lot smaller than other locations I've been to, as I frequent the much larger location in West Mesa. Both are consistent in quality and friendly, quick service. Free WiFi makes it a good place to sit in a comfy booth and do work from a laptop. The atmosphere is relaxed, laid back and decor is a trendy industrialized farmhouse style. The location is very close to St. Joe's hospital (literally across the street). Parking is decent (wasn't crowded at all). There is outdoor seating, but no misting system or significant shade, so I would not recommend sitting outside in the brutal summer heat. All in all, it is a cute and clean cafe to relax, eat a meal, and drink a solid "no-frill" cup of coffee. read more

Nothing special for a vegan but I really try to venture out in case there are hidden gems at omni restaurants. Nice ambiance and friendly staff though! First Watch has changed a lot since the last time I've been. As you walk in embrace everything you see and immediately you get the fresh farm with a modern twist feel. I personally love that! Upside down baskets for lampshades, farm doors used as accents, very clean decor. The menu is also taken a major on a makeover. A lot of healthy conscious choices, and some items I'd call eccentric. I went with a classic, 3 egg with chicken sausage(pretty cool), white toast and country potatoes. Awesome! Breakfast is pretty good, but the Pancakes are NOT FLUFFY. Don't do the banana crunch pancake. That thing had so much granola I almost passed out eating it. It took away from the pancake. Couldn't enjoy it at all. Belgian waffle is awesome, but for $9.59...good god, that's a lot for just a waffle. I expect more with those prices. read more

On a Sunday morning, I wanted to go somewhere where they make me breakfast and I didn't really need to "get cute", just "ready". haha. I pulled up my yelp app and found First Watch. I put my hair in a ponytail, put on some jeans and a shirt and off we go... When I got to the parking lot, we found a spot quickly - which means: not busy, no line, yes! We walk in and yup, it wasn't busy - empty tables everywhere. We were seated right away and our waitress was nice, but curt. I ordered the market hash with overmedium eggs. The market hash included seasoned potatoes, crimini mushrooms, zucchini, onions, red peppers, spinach, melted mozzarella and goat cheese. It was so freaken yummy! Once our food got to our table, we rarely saw our waitress. Here's the problem: in the middle of us eating, the waitress drops off our check to have us pay up front. Right after that, the service practically stopped. We had to ask her for a to-go box and she didn't even refill our water cups. Once we got up to pay, we saw a long line of people waiting to check out. It was like waiting in line to buy the new iPhone 7! I'm exaggerating, but seriously - they should do this differently especially since they had empty tables and weren't too busy.I think it wouldn't hurt to have the waitress take our check with our card, refill our cups while we wait, and drop it to us. That small two minute process right there would've given her at least another $2-3 in tip. Instead, we waited in line for at least 10 minutes and paid. The whole dining experience took about 40 minutes. I like that it was that quick and I didn't have to wait for a table, but I don't like the fact that you feel like you are just a number and once the check is dropped, on to the next. They are big and not as busy as let's say Matt's so let's bring back the customer service. If I could rate just the food, I give it four stars. Service was two so overall, three stars. read more

The new fall menu at First Watch is amazing! We were invited for a Make-A-Wish charity event and got to sample a new drink and three different menu choices at their Phoenix location. Overall, we had a great evening, got to try a lot of delicious and interesting breakfast plates, and benefited a great charity. It was a win-win-win and we can't wait to stop by again! Pomegranate mule - So refreshing! We had an alcohol-free version, but I imagine even with it would pair nicely with the fruity sweetness. The ginger was very present without being overpowering; I finished mine pretty quickly :) Truffled wild mushroom frittata - I admittedly had no idea what a frittata was lol but this ended up being one of my favorite dishes. It was essentially a mixed omelet with shitake and crimini mushrooms, shallots, and arugula. AND the garlic and herb butter was amazing!!! It had that warm, buttery, garlic taste that made the entire dish aromatic and savory. You could put it on anything and it would be delicious haha Heritage pork chop and eggs - The name is a bit misleading; this is ham! Probably the thickest slice of ham I've ever had and it was v tender and tasty (though how can you go wrong with ham??) I loved that it was bone-in and had very little fat on it. If you're really hungry, I'd go for this one! Pumpkin pancake breakfast - These pancakes tasted like autumn! They were fluffy, warm, and spiced perfectly; the smell alone reminded me so much of the holidays, so it was a very nostalgic dish. The dish is served with warm syrup, scrambled eggs, and chicken sausage. The chicken sausage was great too! It's one of my favorite breakfast meats and they nailed it! If I could build my perfect breakfast, I'd have the pumpkin pancakes, mushroom frittata (with a pound of garlic butter), chicken sausage, and the pomegranate mule to wash it all down :) Yum! read more
