My place to go for a neat meal. Lots of varieties of sandwiches, meal to choose from. Service is fast and cool. Ambience is very pleasing and bright for us elderly to see clearly! Prices of dishes are reasonable and the crowd on weekends is large. Come early on weekends so as not to wait too long in line.

Looks small from outside. Quite a few places to sit once you see inside. Outside seating as well. Alicia was great! Nice customer service. Food was tasty. Nice temperature and served quickly. First time at this location. Will not be our last. Easy payment by phone.

Today i had a delicious brunch with my friends. the food was amazing and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. But my server was definitely the downfall of our experience. Marie was so rude and rushfull. as we sat down she greeted us immediately expecting us to know what we want to drink before i got a chance to look at the menu. she came back for food orders and that was the last she talked to us. she continued to had us the stuff we needed such as fruit and my tiny box for a full large pancake with her back facing the table and no follow up questions about our satisfaction. Marie do better... please talk to your tables and id like a view of your face not your back next time.

Nice place and food is great! But only go if you have plenty of time because the waiting time on the weekend can be disappointing!

Returned for another great breakfast of eggs bacon French Toast. Special bacon was too sweet to eat but basic bacon was great.

Once again, social media influenced me, and this time, I'm glad it did. I was driving back from…read moreMexico and decided to stop by the 1989 Baker House in Green Valley. I definitely do not regret that decision. This visit, I focused on pastries and coffee. I didn't realize they also have a full food menu until after I ordered, so that will be for next time. I picked up the Dubai chocolate muffins, a pumpkin scone, and a blueberry white chocolate mocha pastry (which was incredible). For drinks, I tried the Sweet Lavender Espresso (hot) and the Cherry Love Bomb (iced). The Cherry Love Bomb was my favorite, refreshing, balanced, and just unique. Everything I tasted was delicious. Every pastry I sampled had great flavor and texture, and the drinks were thoughtful and fun without being overly sweet. While I was there, I noticed they offer a sourdough avocado toast, and the staff member who helped me described it so well that I already know I'll be returning specifically for that. If you're into unique and intentional flavor combinations, this is absolutely worth the stop, even if you're not already in the Sahuarita/Green Valley area. Everything I tried was genuinely enjoyable. Its a cute coffee place with great views actually! I'll definitely coming back!

I'm so happy to have found this place ! You order at the counter and there is plenty of seating. I ordered the tri-color Vietnamese dessert called Chè Ba Mau, which translates literally to tri-color dessert. Chè is a traditional category of Vietnamese desserts that can range from sweet soups to puddings, and it often combines various beans, jellies, and fruits with coconut milk and shaved ice, traditionally. This particular one here consists of coconut milk, pandan agar jelly, red beans, and water chestnut coated in tapioca. The hubby ordered the grass jelly and coconut milk dessert. The grass jelly has a mild herbal depth and it is balanced beautifully by the smooth, lightly sweet coconut milk. Both are equally refreshing and sweet, with quality ingredients that really make it satisfying on a hot Tucson day. I absolutely will be returning here for future Vietnamese desserts!!

Once you reach the entrance to the café, you'll find a little place full of history and character. You can tell it's a favorite among the locals, especially the older crowd who have been coming here for years. The service was great--friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the food has a lot of potential. I ordered the chilaquiles. The tortillas were nice and crispy, although the sauce tasted more like an enchilada-style spice and could have used a little more seasoning. The hash browns with cheese and jalapeños were amazingly crispy--they almost looked like a thin-crust pizza! I also tried the chicken-fried steak. It was soft and tender with a nice bite, but I felt like it needed more seasoning and flavor. Overall, Luna Cafe has that old-school local-diner charm that you don't find everywhere anymore. Great service, generous portions, decent prices, and lots of history. With just a little more seasoning, the food could really stand out. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a local spot!

Only open for breakfast, this little coffee shop packs in a lot of charm. I parked in the small lot in front. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely charming. It's a grab-and-go place for some, but for those that stay, there's a decent amount of seating outside. You're surrounded by a nice garden area, so it makes for a nice place to enjoy your beverage or some food. As long as the weather cooperates. Service (5/5): You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. The lady working the counter was super friendly. A bright smile goes a long way. She was lovely. Drinks (5/5): While I'm not a coffee drinker, I'm a big fan of lemonade. They have a berry lemonade that has berries in it (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries). Good size and it was very refreshing. One of the best lemonades I've had in quite some time. Food (4/5): Barista is known for its breakfast burritos and I love a good breakfast burrito. You'll find your usual ingredients here for the most part e.g. chorizo, egg, potato, bacon, ham, etc. Which I could have easily done. Instead, I decided to roll the dice and get my burrito with macheca. Which is a dried out Sonoran beef jerky of sorts. Heavily spiced. With a bit of a kick. I had never had it, and I must say, I'm not a huge fan. The lady who took my order complicated this gringo on my selection, but too strong of a taste for me. I'm sure I would've enjoyed one of the other proteins more. With that being said, it's a good portion (essentially two burros) and it was grilled nicely. It made for a filling, and satisfying, breakfast on the road.
