Want to update review now that we've been several times! This place is so fun! We come weekly now for the food and a drink at the bar. Fork rinds, (pork rinds forked up with their own seasoning) are to die for! So yummy! Sweet potato fries...same, delicious! Smoked meats are incredible! Service is also top notch! We usually sit at the bar and always have fun. The wait staff are all super friendly and accommodating. We usually have a beer. I love Cali Squeeze,as previously noted, but recently had a prickly pear lemon drop martini**YUM** While there, noticed a barrel on bar back, and heard about the new trial run of aging Jameson Whiskey in this oak barrel and how it smooths it out nd adds oak flavor.....HAD TO TRY! Another first! This time, Fork and Fire. This cool little spot with a sports bar feel originally started as a food truck and they were awesome back then so let's see about now. A warm greeting up entering, always a plus. It wasn't all that busy for a Saturday afternoon, I'm thinking we missed the lunch rush and the pregame final four rush. Perfect timing. We started with the Pulled pork/mac and cheese balls. Delicious pulled pork mixed with Mac and cheese rolled in cribs and deep fried to a golden brown served on top of cheese sauce and green onion garnish. What a special treat perfect opening appetizer. My son and I both had the three meat plate with pulled pork, brisket and beef sausage. It was served with an outstanding tangy coleslaw, a pretty darn good piece of cornbread and I had the baked beans which were perfectly sweet although very slightly dry. The pulled pork was flavorful, juicy and melted in your mouth. Paired with the tangy bbq sauce it was a treat that was hard to beat. The beef sausage, most people would have said was burnt, but let me tell you, that is how the ends of sausage should be. Great beefy flavor, well seasoned. The beef brisket had ONE good quality, it was juicy, after that is where it went completely down hill. ZERO flavor, none, it was extremely thin, almost 50/50 meat to fat cap ratio. No smoke flavor, no seasoning, nothing. Almost like it was boiled to tenderness. This is where this review went from 5 stars to 4. Brisket is meant to be heavily seasoned and put in the smoker. All in all Fork and Fire still puts out great food although be prepared to pay. Over $100 for lunch for 2 with tip. But with beef what it is today it's getting harder and harder to find good deals. Pro tip: pack your own Himalayan pink salt; it's the only reliable way to wake the food up. We've given them three chances to prove us wrong over the last three years. For the life of me I simply cannot understand the positive reviews. My only takeaway is the median age around here is likely sixty something. This is Golden Coral and Luby's style buffet looking grayish BBQ and blanched veggies from the early 90s. Not cool. Oh wait. Now I understand who is leaving these five star reviews. The 65+ cohort. The owner must be that renown chef from our local Brookdale Senior Living facility. Guy and Hunter Fieri wouldn't touch this dive with a ten foot pole. Sadly we must of had a new server. We went to watch the last US soccer game. The place was not busy. The server had to be asked 2 times to come to our table so we could reorder drinks. We .... 5 of us... We're out of beverages for at least 10 minutes at the end of the game. We had to ask her to close us out. Sad. Food... Overall pretty good!! HH make your own board was good. Pretty shy on the Brie, 1 of 3 pieces of salmon looked grey, but overall it was good. HH Pork sliders were awesome! Pork sandwich was great. Sadly, I had the jalapeno poppers and they were TOO hot/spicy to eat. Filling was very little. They use the whole pepper wrap it in bacon. Bacon was pretty burnt on the outside. Very good on the inside. The pepper itself was just too spicy to eat. I shared 1 1/2 with the group. No one liked them or could eat them. I pushed them aside. It had been a while since I ate at Fork & Fire. The place was quite busy on a Sunday night. I got the 3 Meat Combo. Brisket was very flavorful, juicy and tender, the sausage was juicy on the inside with a real snap to the casing. The ribs were "fall-off-the-bone" tender. I liked the personal brush for the sauce. The cornbread had a real kick to it. As the setting sun came through the windows, our server watched to see if it was in a guest's eyes, and skillfully moved the plants around to shield them. read more

We were impressed with the Fork & Fire in Oro Valley, AZ. The staff asked multiple times if all was well. The manager came over and offered meal suggestions. We were with friends who live in Oro Valley. My wife and I split a pulled pork sandwich that had cole slaw and chips accompanied it. The sandwich was on a soft pretzel roll and I could have eaten much more than I did. Why? It was delicious. My friends had appetizers. They had Macaroni, cheese with pulled pork in a light pastry ball. There were 4 balls. They loved them. Fork & Fire was busy. Large bar area. TV's. A great place to drink, eat, and watch a sporting event. Plenty of parking. Take credit cards with no up charge. Prices were very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I think you will, too. Burnt ends were delicious, wouldn't get the taterbombs again(extremely dry and bland) main courses kids hot dogs weren't consumed neither was the Mac and cheese "it's gross" the adult order Mac and cheese wasn't even warm and also wasn't appetizing to me. They were out of ribs and sweet potato fries... Brisket and pulled pork combo was alright. Nothing to get too excited about. Brisket wasn't pull apart tender and seemed to need more seasoning not much bark on it . Seems like the happy hour deals might be worth going back for. The fish and chips wouldn't be ordered again. I was in the complex for an event and stopped in to use a coupon and grab a small dinner to go. I went with the Colorado Style Green Chili and it was so filling and delicious. The guy at the front that helped me recommended it. He put my order in and went back and packaged it up. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Great service and chili. They were out of brisket tonight so it may be worth calling ahead if you're hoping for a certain meat. I'll be back to try more items! read more

Fork & Fire is lit. Early evening saw us drop into one of Emily's parents favorite places to eat. That's Fork & Fire. They said they love the food and the bartenders are great. It was time for Emily and I to put that to the test. We walked in and their favorite bartender was working and promptly seated us. First up were drinks. The first one I ordered just ran out so, instead of ordering something the bartender suggested, I picked out something that I thought sounded just as good. Turns out, it was just okay and then when it came time for a second round, I took the bartender up on her suggestion and profusely apologized for not listening to her first. It was much tastier and closer to what I was looking for. When it came time to order food, we got the fried cheese curds as an appetizer (or were the beers the appetizer?) and the garlic Parmesan dipping sauce it came with was absolutely freaking amazing. The cheese curds were good but that dipping sauce knocked them out of the park. I'm still thinking about it a week later. We all pretty much ordered the Fork & Fire Burger. Maybe it's just a Fork & Fire thing but you can only order it in Rare, Medium, or Well Done. As a Medium Rare kind of person, this was a bit of a miss but when the burger came out, it pretty much was closer to Medium Rare than Medium and that made me happy. It did seem like everyone's burger was some variation of MR to M. Dave was the only one to order something else and that was the Brisket French Dip. It didn't take long for the food to come out since it was pretty quiet in the restaurant at the time we were there. Once the food came out, we all dug in real quick and Emily and I found out even quicker why her parents love this place. The burger was really good and really messy. I got mine with a side of french fries and those french fries were the best thing ever. I don't remember all the fine nuances of the burger due to the two beers on an empty stomach but I do remember enjoying every bite of it. Emily's parents really do know all the best food places around Oro Valley. The price is a bit high but the quality and taste are, in my opinion, the best I had in Arizona on this trip. Always wanted to try this place but I don't frequent Oro Valley often. Luckily it was on the Sonoran restaurant week list so I made a plan asap! We got there right at open so no wait, we also had an easy time parking. I noticed they had a cool patio area w/ some out door games, definitely a family friendly place. The lunch prefix menu (that we did) included an app, main and dessert. And omg we were stuffed ! Everything was delicious, but I loved the firebombs app! The food is HORRIBLE! Got a take out brisket sandwich that was full of FAT. THEY cube the brisket to put on a pretzel bun and without a doubt it was inedible! My husband enjoyed the brisket plate and chose cheesy whipped potatoes, veggies and cornbread for his sides. I love that they provide you a variety of bottles of bbq sauce on the table. Mac cheese was awlful. Noodles over cooked. Chees sauce had no flavor and just pooled at bottom of the bowl. Cornbread was greasy and tasteless It was gross. The drinks were made with artificial flavoring. I do not recommend. Seating and dining area was open and couldn't hear. Food server had her long braids in the food she served gross. I am from Kansas City (bbq capital) and am pretty picky about my barbecue, and this was absolutely phenomenal. The meats are perfectly seasoned and tender, the sauce is perfected. My mom, who never had Southern-style bbq before, and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Fork & Fire. We were seated in one of the restaurant corners that had a bench. This was very convenient for a party of 2. Our food came out quickly. My mom had the pork tenderloin sandwich, I chose the pulled pork sandwich. The pork tenderloin was not only gigantic (extending beyond the pretzel bun) but also epic in flavor and so very juicy. Just a really beautiful dish that showed great craftsmanship. My pulled pork also was super-flavorful to the point I didn't want it to get smothered in bbq sauce even though their bbq sauce was very tasty as well. If there were just one thing I would recommend is that the pulled pork sandwich should be served a little more temperature hot. But no biggie, the wonderful evening and lovely food we enjoyed made it all worthwhile for us. read more

Started out with free chicharrones that had a bbq type seasoning. Our beverages and the free chicharrones set the tone for what was supposed to be a fabulous meal. Cheese Curds and Crispy Rib Pops were delicious. You can taste the smoke in the meat. Cheese Curd batter was light and both apps cooked perfectly. They have a different happy hour special everyday so thats exciting. Pork tenderloin sandwich a little on the thicker side and a lil dry. Was hoping for more like an Iowa Style Sandwich. The special was a veal sausage topped with Brisket. Veal Sausage just not my cup of tea. Texture issue. There was a lot going on in such a small bun. Would not order it again. They have enough variety on the menu so we still have options. Service was good. . Waiter seemed busy. Straight to the point but not rude. We never waited or had to ask for anything.
